Wednesday came too fast as it was the day, Rita had reluctantly agreed to meet Percy at the cafe, although she had no desire to be subjected to her soon-to-be ex-husband's fiancée's company. She chuckled bitterly to herself, thinking that Jaden must be so eager to share the news of their impending divorce. She had expected nothing less from him—a man who had always been impatient and impulsive.

She put on a white high-heel and a lilac gown as she applied a slight makeup. She didn't want Percy to see her defeated and lonely.

As she entered the cozy cafe, Rita's eyes scanned the room, searching for Percy. It didn't take long for her to spot her, sitting at a table near the window, a smug smile playing on her lips. Rita sighed, steeling herself for the encounter. She had endured Percy's hypocrisy and condescension for far too long, always acting like the dutiful wife while knowing the truth about Jaden's lack of love for her.
