Lillian’s POV

Rena’s quiet sobs still echo in my ears as I tighten my hold on her trembling hands. Her fingers are cold and seem fragile, like glass on the verge of shattering. No… It’s not just her fingers. It’s her… all of her.

Since the moment I arrived, she hasn’t let me go.

Her eyes are going around in wary, like any second she’ll be at risk of getting attacked.

She can’t even look at Craig’s direction, despite knowing it’s her Alpha.

Right now, any man is a danger in her eyes, and I can’t even blame her. No one can.

“It’s okay… No one’s gonna harm you now, little one. I’m here,” I coax in a soft voice that’s almost a whisper.

“I…” she tries to say something, but she can’t finish it with her sobs.

Finally, someone knocks on the still open doors that takes all our attention, especially after Rane scoots closer to me with a small scream escaping her lips upon seeing another person at the door.

With his white coat on, it takes no Sherlock to know she’s the doctor.

Keegan’s POVI leave the shop in more frustration than I have been in a long time.Though I have felt a bit at ease seeing her well after I learn about what happened to that little girl, I can’t stop feeling in pain and frustrated. But it’s not because of Uncle Craig or anything else… It’s because of LillianThe way she looks at me with disgust and anger. The way she sees me is like I’m just another wolf or monster trying to control her life. And what makes me even more frustrated… It’s the fact that I know she is right.Everything she sees and thinks is right. We are legally and utterly separated. As to why she still has my mark, it’s unknown to us both, but that doesn’t change anything between us.But the thing is… I only remind her of that every chance I get because that’s the only thing I have on her. It’s the only thing that makes me feel like we still have a chance together. It’s just me… refusing to admit that I’ve already lost her.Damn it!I can’t help but curse as I walk fu

  • Divorcing The Alpha: Now He Won't Let Me Go   Chapter 84

Lillian’s POVMy heart tightened as I slowly turned around, already sensing who it was before my eyes confirmed it.As always, his presence is like a part of me. It’s something I have already memorised like the back of my hand after years of admiring him. It’s Keegan. He stands tall, his usual cold and oppressive aura surrounding him. Though he is dressed casually with a white fitted round collared shirt and dark blue shorts, there’s nothing casual about the way his eyes lock into me… or the way they flicker briefly to Craig, who is standing a bit close to me since he’s showing me an item. For a moment, none of us spoke a word. It’s like we are in a calculative stance, staring at each other while heaviness in the air thickens.“I heard about what happened.” It’s Keegan who speaks first, eyes fixed on me.His tone comes out sharp, but I recognise the concern beneath it.I stare at him for a while, look around, and behind him. He’s alone. His Beta, warriors, or even Sienna, isn’t here w

  • Divorcing The Alpha: Now He Won't Let Me Go   Chapter 83

Lillian’s POVThe knock on the door startles me. I’m not expecting anyone this early. In fact, I am not expecting anyone at all. With heavy steps and a lazy body, I get up from my bed and drag my feet to the doorstep. When I open it, I blink in surprise.Craig is standing there with his arms crossed and a serious expression. “Morning.”My brow furrows, and I comb my messy hair with my fingers, still half asleep. “What are you doing here so early?”“Early?” he asked, raising his brows at me.“Yeah?” My voice comes out in a duh tone while I open the door wide for him and turn around to grab some water from the kitchen, him following suit.

Lillian’s POVMaddox chases me and we walk side by side through the silent corridor, neither of us speaking for a long time as the heaviness in our hearts spreads like wildfire that we don’t know how to ease. That poor girl…Rena’s only sixteen years old. I can’t imagine the pain and trauma this incident has brought on her.On every step, her terrified expression keeps flashing in my mind. Her bruised face, trembling hands, and the words he whispers that keep echoing in my mind. “I feel… broken…”I feel broken for her, too.No child, woman, or anyone deserves to experience such injustice.“We have to be strong. Let’s not let anger get the best of us,” Maddox tells me as she puts a hand over my shoulder when she sees me hesitating on turning the knob of the meeting room where the investigative team are in.Taking a deep breath, I nod at her and calm myself down. She’s right. This is the moment we have to be rational and be at our best. Only then can we do justice to that little girl.W

Lillian’s POV“Hey, what took you so long?” Maddox asks me in a muffled voice while stuffing her face with a muffin. As she hurriedly ate with excitement, as if someone were about to steal her food, all the negative emotions I felt after my encounter with Keegan and Sienna vanished.A small laugh escapes my lips. “You look like a chipmunk.”Both her cheeks are blown up with the amount of food in her mouth. She gives me a glare and tries to scold me, but all her words come out like some tangled words.Craig laughs as well and pushes a glass of water toward her. “Slow down, Maddox. Someone might think Oasis pack had gone bankrupt and is starving you guys.”I sit down with them and take a slow bite of my dessert. We all converse in some gossip while we finish our food. Surprisingly, Keegan and Sienna never show up again.I don’t even notice them leaving. I am either too busy with my conversation at our table, or they take a detour to avoid me.Either way, I couldn’t care less. If not, I
