I've only added the descriptions where you indicated and kept the rest of the wording unchanged.

Adam's friend stood up to shake my hand as we approached the table.

"Hello, ladies. I'm Roy. Nice to meet you."

"I'm Nadia, and that's Abby." I smiled at him and shook his hand.

"Hey." Abby smiled too, her cheeks a bit more flush than usual.

"Now that we are all acquainted, what game would you like to play?"

As Adam asked the question, his eyes met mine and a smirk played on his lips. My mind instantly drifted somewhere inappropriate.

Let's see who can last the longest without craving the other's touch. I thought.

Adam winked as if reading my thought.

Challenge accepted.

"Let's play Bullshit. Also known as Cheat." Roy suggested then started to explain. "Each player gets a stack of cards, and a single card is placed in the middle. You can put down the same card, one above, or one below. The cards in the middle are face down so no other players can see them. Which means you can put down a five and claim it's an eight. If someone thinks you're lying, they call Bullshit, and the loser takes all the cards in the middle. First one to finish all their cards wins."

"Sounds fun. I'm in." Abby laughed and found her way into the seat next to Roy.

"I guess we'll see who has the best poker face." I shrugged as Adam and I moved into the opposite seats at the table.

And so the games began. After a few rounds, everyone knew exactly how to play, and more drinks were ordered.

Currently, there was a King on the pile. I had an Ace, a Four, and a Nine.

I decided to take a chance and place down the Four.

"Queen." Roy beamed calling his card as he placed it down.

"Queen." I smiled back at him.

"King." Abby nervously laughed playing down her card.

I got away with it.

To my surprise, the rest of the night was so much fun. We played games, drank, and danced. It was the most fun I'd had in a while.

"I'm going to flirt with the bartender!"

Abby laughed as she left me alone on the dance floor. I danced by myself and swayed to the music. For a moment, I felt completely free. The stress of work, the confusion surrounding Adam, and every responsibility weighing on my shoulders seemed to disappear beneath the music. A flash of nostalgia hit me as memories of Abby and me dancing together in college surfaced. Back then, our biggest concern had been passing exams and deciding where to go for coffee after class.

"You are so mesmerising when you dance."

Adam's voice came from behind me.

"Adam, stop. We're in public."

"No one will care if I dance with you, Nadia."

Butterflies fluttered in my stomach as he said my name.

"I've wanted to be closer to you the whole night."

I could feel his presence close to mine, and that familiar electricity shot through my veins. I liked Adam, but I wasn't sure if I should.

"I meant what I said before. We can only be friends." I tried to keep my voice firm as I spoke.

"Friends can mean many things. Friends can kiss..."

Adam’s voice grew heavy on the last word. Every time he looked at me like that, the pull between us seemed to grow stronger. The more I tried to ignore it, the more aware I became of him. It was becoming harder and harder to remember why I was supposed to stay away.

"Platonic friends." I cut him off before he got any ideas.

"I can't do that." Adam grunts and steps away.

The moment he moved back, I felt the distance between us. His warmth vanished, leaving an unexpected emptiness behind. Frustration surged through me, and I spun around to face him. Anger burned in my chest—not because he wanted more from me, but because it felt like friendship alone wasn't enough for him.

"Then I guess we won't ever see each other again." I snapped and glared at him.

"You don't mean that. I know you don't... because I'm going to walk out the back door, and in five minutes, you'll follow me into the alley." Adam remarked with a shrug.

"Why would I do that?"

"So that we can be alone."

Adam pressed a soft kiss to my cheek before walking away. My heart raced as I watched him disappear through the back door.

A battle immediately began inside my mind. Every sensible thought screamed at me to stay where I was. Following Adam would only make things more complicated. Yet another part of me refused to let him walk away. The connection between us felt too strong to ignore. Logic fought desperately against desire, but in the end, desire won.

Just as Adam said, I waited five minutes and then followed after him.

The moment I stepped outside, cold night air brushed against my skin. The alley behind the bar was narrow and dimly lit, illuminated only by a few flickering lights attached to the building. The distant sounds of music and laughter spilled through the back door, mixing with the cool breeze.

"Nadia, I'm glad you followed me." Adam groaned as he stepped out of the shadows, his eyes locked in on mine.

"I'm not even sure why I did."

The second I saw him, I felt my control begin to slip away. Every reason I had for staying away suddenly seemed less important. I felt drawn toward him in a way I couldn't explain, as though an invisible thread connected us and kept pulling me closer.

"We're connected. You can't deny that we are destined to be mates."

Adam’s voice danced down my spine, sending desire throughout my body.

3 years later…"Mommy, look, I lost another tooth!" Quin ran into my bedroom with a wide smile and held her tooth in her hands."Another one!" I happily gasped and picked her up in my arms. "The tooth fairy will have to visit again tonight.""Maybe this time I can stay up and see her…” She paused. “…him?” She tilted her head slightly as she asked, “Mommy, is the tooth fairy a boy or girl?""I don't know, maybe tonight you can figure it out." I winked, then continued. "Are you ready for kindergarten, my gorgeous daughter?"Quin giggled as I kissed her cheek and wrapped her arms around my neck to give me a hug."Yup! I just need to put my lunch in my bag, then we can go.""You are such a good girl.""Do you always have to go to work?" Quin frowned and looked at me with those big blue eyes."Unfortunately, yes, I do."Quin sighed as I put her down. She looked just like me in every way, but sometimes her father's personality pushed its way to the surface. Quin had Adam's temper and his ar

"Nadia, stop this nonsense and come back with me. It's where you belong." Adam said as he grinded his teeth together.I shifted back to my human form and watched as Adam’s nostrils flared as Quinton’s scent drifted off his clothes that I still wore."Just because I am your mate, it doesn't mean that you can control me.” I spat, tugging onto Quinton’s shirt as if to cover more of myself. “I should be able to choose whether I want to go with you or not!"Adam growled as he glared at me. He didn't like how I spoke to him."I am your Alpha! You will do as I say!" He spat back."Hey, dickhead! Have some respect!" Quinton yelled from the drivers window as he rammed an SUV into Adam’s body. The impact sent Adam flying through the air. His body slammed into the asphalt with a sickening crack, rolling several times across the road. Before he could come to a stop, bones snapped and shifted beneath his skin. Black fur erupted across his body as he transformed mid-motion. His massive paws dug int

The little heart softly beat to show it was there. I was a mother… yes, the baby was only three weeks old, but alive. Those motherly instincts set in as soon as I knew I was pregnant.I had to get away. The top deck would be less guarded, but the drop was higher. While the bottom deck risked the chance of being seen, it was easier to jump off of. I weighed my options. As I looked at the staircase leading towards the top deck, my hands felt unsteady. I decided it would be the best way to escape. As I quickly walked up the stairs, a bunch of staff workers walked past the bottom of the stairs. Thankfully, I didn't go towards the bottom deck; otherwise, I would have had to deal with them.I looked out into the distance and saw a bunch of ships.Quinton said the name would be in red.Two ships had red names. Fiona's Sail and Flora's Sail. My heart rate increased as I tried to remember the name of the ship Quinton said I should swim towards. For the life of me, I couldn't remember.I decide

Over the following days, Adam introduced me to parts of his world, and I learned that it wasn't only about pain. He taught me trust, communication, and confidence. We grew closer, and I began to understand why those experiences meant so much to him.As I walked through one of the shops on the cruise, I felt a small throbbing sensation in my stomach.I focused my power and tried to heal whatever was wrong, but it didn't help. My hearing increased, and when the ship sounded its horn, I covered my ears and fell to the floor."Urgh!"Once the sound stopped, goosebumps covered my skin and my body trembled. Very faintly, I heard a tiny heartbeat from inside my womb."No... it can't be..." I muttered as my hands started slightly shaking.I quickly grabbed a pregnancy test and sprinted back to my room.Ten minutes later, I sat on the floor holding the test. Two bright pink lines stared back at me from the small display window. There was no mistaking what it meant. The second line was just as

Adam then spun me around and pushed me towards the bed. My ass was bent up into the air as my face pressed against the soft mattress.A thrill ran through me as I followed his instructions. It wasn't simply about being told what to do—it was the trust between us. Adam had taken the time to understand my boundaries, listen to my concerns, and make sure I felt safe. Knowing that made it easier to surrender control. More than anything, I wanted to make him proud. I wanted to be the submissive he believed I could be, to show him the same trust and devotion he had shown me. Every word of praise from him felt precious, and I found myself craving his approval more than I wanted to admit."What colour?" Adam asked as I felt him behind me."Green, please, Adam," I pleaded, my voice heavy with arousal."Master, remember," he muttered and slapped my ass. "I am going to set some rules. Firstly, if you address me by anything else, it is a rule break. Secondly, if you orgasm without my permission..

  • Doctor's Desire: The Billionaire Alpha's Demand for Me   Chapter 12: Giving him control

Let us start with some basic knowledge regarding the topic. The term BDSM has three major parts.B/D: Bondage (the act of restraining one partner and limiting their movement through tying or binding) and Discipline (the partner in control sets certain rules which the other must obey. If these rules are broken, consequences are agreed upon beforehand).D/S: Dominance (the partner in control during activities) and Submission (the partner who willingly surrenders control and follows the dominant partner's lead).S/M: Sadomasochism (the use of pain or humiliation for pleasure, including giving or receiving such experiences).Bondage and Discipline was where I would be the submissive since it aligned with my interests. Sadomasochism was where Adam would be the submissive, which he sounded very eager for. Before we ever considered trying any of it, Adam and I had spent hours discussing boundaries, expectations, and limits. We talked about what interested us, what was completely off-limits,
