LOGINMaylea’s Point of View
I woke up early the following day as a group of female werewolves walked into Astrid’s room. I rubbed my eyes and yawned.
“Morning, Maylea. I hope you slept well,” Jarrod said.
“What’s going on?”
I was still half asleep as he pulled the blankets off me. Everyone in the room excitedly smiled and stared at me while I stood up.

Maylea’s Point of ViewI woke up early the following day as a group of female werewolves walked into Astrid’s room. I rubbed my eyes and yawned.“Morning, Maylea. I hope you slept well,” Jarrod said.“What’s going on?”I was still half asleep as he pulled the blankets off me. Everyone in the room excitedly smiled and stared at me while I stood up.“Today is your wedding day, and these lovely ladies are here to help you get ready,” Jarrod explained.I nodded and felt my heart sink. I loved Callum and wanted to marry him… but not this soon. Yet, Astrid insisted the wedding would be today.“I know you might feel a bit scared, but it will be okay. You have to be brave right now,” Jarrod said.Jarrod smiled at me and walked off. He left me with the women, who insisted I shower, shave, and wash my hair while they sorted out everything else.
Astrid’s Point of ViewMy head was throbbing as I walked down the passageway.Maylea loves me… but she would rather die to save my life.I just needed to get away for a bit. Jarrod stopped me in the passage and looked at the burns on my skin from Maylea’s blood.“I can smell her blood… is Maylea okay?” Jarrod asked.“Yes. I just need to be alone, Jarrod. Excuse me.”“I have news.”“I don’t care.”I walked off when Jarrod called out.“It’s about the Dart Legion pack.”I stopped, and he continued to explain.“Our spies have sent word that Quin knows that you have her sister. They plan to attack in a few days, but nothing has been officially declared,” Jarrod explained.“A war is on the way… so tomorrow we will celebrate with a marriage. Then afterwards&hel
As I approached the old throne room, I heard voices and stopped to listen in.“Alpha, don’t let that human make you upset,” Katia said.“She is engaged, Katia,” Astrid replied.“It’s what you wanted. You weren’t ever going to accept her,” Katia reminded her.“I came back to tell her that I would give it all up to be with her… she’s my mate. I wanted to accept Maylea, but now… it’s too late,” Astrid admitted.“I’ll help you forget about her… like the good old times. Remember all the fun we had together,” Katia purred.Astrid chuckled, and I peeked through the slightly open door.“I’ll keep you happy, Alpha,” Katia whispered.Katia moaned in her ear and ran her hands across Astrid’s chest. My stomach turned as I watched my so-called friend all over the woman I had told her I loved.&l
The next couple of days felt like each second slowly ticked by. Either Jarrod or Callum was always around to keep an eye on me. I was moved back into Astrid’s room, and even though it gave me a bit of comfort, I was still afraid to close my eyes.I’m never going to be free from Astrid, am I?I barely left the room and even asked Callum to sleep next to me when he could.“Please, I don’t want to be alone.”“It’s okay, Maylea. I’m always here for you.”He sweetly smiled and cuddled closer to me. Having Callum around made me feel calm, but my heart still cried out to have Astrid near me.This isn’t fair on Callum… he should have all my love.“You deserve better.”“I have you in my arms… that can’t get any better.”“No, Callum. You are so amazing, and I just wish you could have found someone that do
“Oh, sorry!” I quickly said.I blushed and turned around.I’m such an idiot!“No, uh… it’s okay. I don’t mind… I mean… uh, I’m going to go get you that soup,” Callum stammered. He cleared his throat and walked off. I couldn’t help but smile at his cute reaction.I switched on the shower, and the water warmed me up. Callum returned shortly after I was dressed again, and the soup definitely made me feel better.Jarrod has always had that fatherly nature. He must have been a great father.“How do you feel?” Callum asked.“Much better, thank you. Now I’m just really sleepy.”“It’s okay. Get some rest. My guard shift starts soon, so I’ll let you sleep,” Callum said.“Can you cuddle me until you have to leave?”“I would love to.”He smile
“On one of the runs, the pack ran into a camp of werewolf hunters. She risked her life to save Astrid and jumped in front of a wolfsbane bullet before I could even realise what was going on. My daughter died because I wasn’t there to protect our Alpha like I should have been.”He sighed.“Jarrod… I’m so sorry.”“I see my daughter’s spirit inside of you, Maylea. That’s why I care… that’s why I just want what’s best for you.”“Thank you for looking out for me… but I don’t need someone to save me. I know what I’m doing is right.”“I’m not going to tell you that choosing Callum is wrong. I just want you to make sure it’s one hundred percent what you want.”I stubbornly raised my chin.“It is.”Jarrod nodded.“Okay. Just don’t try to force something that isn’t
He stepped closer and stared into my eyes. The air between us seemed to crackle with electricity. Every nerve in my body came alive beneath his gaze, and my heart pounded so hard that I was certain he could hear it."Wait, Adam..." The words died on my lips as his scent surrounded me."Why do you k
Adam's friend stood up to shake my hand as we approached the table."Hello, ladies. I'm Roy. Nice to meet you.""I'm Nadia, and that's Abby." I smiled at him and shook his hand."Hey." Abby smiled too, her cheeks a bit more flush than usual."Now that we are all acquainted, what game would you like
I arrived at the address the professor gave me and stared at the gorgeous mansion. The sprawling estate looked like something straight out of a magazine, with towering stone walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, and perfectly manicured gardens surrounding the property. Luxury and power radiated from eve
During my lunch break, I sit in my office and stare at the certificate hanging on the wall. The elegant gold-framed certificate proudly displayed my achievements, showing that I had graduated at the top of my class with a Doctor of Medicine degree and completed advanced postgraduate specializations
