Forty five: Friends

"I don't think we're doing the right thing. Don't you think he still needs some time alone?" I suggested to Claire as we walked into Sebastian's big compound. 

She slapped my back, frowned a little. "If you ruin this, no dinner for you anymore. He doesn't need to be alone. He's literally been alone for too long. Are you nervous?"

Oh. She got me. 

"Yes," I confessed. 

She gasped, slapped my back again. "How can you be nervous? He loves you, doesn't he? When I wanna deal with Dave, I don't get nervous."

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever. Dave is really nice, ok? Sebastian is clearly different."

We reached the huge door that led to the inside of his house, stood in front of it, stared at each other.
