Forty one: Just mine

Strolling on the silent street, I couldn't help but weep. To be honest, this was a really really sad moment for me. And from the way I seemed so emotional, it kind of seemed like—

No. It wasn't possible. There was no way I felt anything for that man. I had gone over my feelings a long time ago.

I sniffed, rubbed off the ugly tears from my cheek, and walked into Claire's small compound. Taking a deep breath, I knocked on the door. I particularly tried to act fine because I didn't want her to be worried.

Soon, she opened the door.

"Ady!" She exclaimed, worry plastering all through her. "Why are you home this late? Did something happen to you?"

"Oh, sorry for that." I walked in, dropped my bag on the couch, and twirled around to face her. "I had to do some important things. I'm fine. Nothing happened."

"You're sure?" She shoved my hands into hers. "I mean, you look… tired. Did something happen? Have you been…" she scrunched her face. "Crying?"

I chuckled anxiously, pulled away from her

Aaaahhhh so- while I love how Sebas has to grovel for attention, I don’t want it to be so easy for her to go back to him?. Like - let her have her fun and let him have his heartbroken:/. Is that mean? He treated her like shit. (Clearing loving this book!!)
