Lara dropped me off at home at midday. I refused to go home with Carol and Gwen. Lara went in with me, spoke to my parents, and explained what had happened and then she left. My father allowed me two hours of sleep before waking me up to study again.
I drove myself to school on Monday morning to sit through the two and a half-hour physics exam. It wasn’t too bad and I thought I had done really well. After school, I drove to the clinic for some exercise and spend some time in the pool. My back was starting to feel really good and I thought of dropping the physio but Brandy emphasising another two weeks.

The exams did not go too badly. But I have to say, my focus wasn’t solely on the exams, it was with the show that we were putting on. Geraldine was right about the orchestra. School has always been the most exciting part of the day, there are so many things to do and things to see. Best part of my school is the uniform. No need to spend hours in front of the closet, trying to figure out what to wear. I worked at a bar called Illuminate. It was in the centre of the nightlife district. There was another bar up the street about two blocks off but it was nowhere as busy as Illuminate. It was the first time in living memory that I was home before my parents. I thanked Claude and watched him drive off. I walked into my apartment and decided on a shower before anything else. When I was comfortable in my track suit I picked up my acoustic guitar and put a country music DVD on. I played along with the songs that I knew and made a point of learning the songs I didn’t know.I entertained myself in that manner or another hour or so until I saw car lights pull up into the driveway. I could hear my parents laugh rather tipsy while Gwen sounded completely drunk. I chuckled and put my guitar down.
