Chapter 34

Finally, Sullivan decided to come home. It's been a long time since he last saw his family. For the few weeks, his only connection to his family is his daughter's grave. He's been visiting the cemetery for almost everyday. Things that he wanted to tell to his family, things that he could only tell to her daughter, because no one would listen to him.

But, this time, he will not be afraid anymore. Dodging his family won't do him any good. It will only prolong the inevitable. His discussion with his family has been long overdue. And when he knocked on their door, he was expecting a yell, or an angry face to welcome him. Instead, his eldest daughter opened the door for him with a smile.

"Hey, dad. It's good to see you again. Welcome home."

"Hey, sweety. How are you? Where's your mother?"

"We're doing great, Dad. Mom's at her sister's house. Aunt Marie called asking for help about the decoration of her house."
