Chapter 48
Things has been going great since Glenda ran away with Mike. She felt like a whole new person on a new town. Her way of appreciating everything that Mike did for her is to find a decent a job. Four days after they ran away, Glenda found a job at the gas n' sip. Her boss is good person too. A widow, and a mother three teenagers, who happens to be Mike's childhood friends.
Her shift at the gas n' sip is eight in the morning until five in the afternoon. Mike insisted to walk her to her job, and pick her up after. He said that it's better to make sure that she's always safe. Glenda understands his fear because Police Inspector Kevin Shunn is a crooked cop. He's known for his corrupt, and violent activities.
"Mike, you don't have to do this everyday. You have your job too." Glenda said to Mike before entering the store.
