LOGINI had showered and decided that I was going to wash my hair. My hair hadn't always been this dark; I guess it just grew darker as I aged. My hair fell all the way down to my waist.
Today, the washroom was empty, but I could still hear the faint voices of students in the hallway, which somehow made the anxiety worse. I felt my shoulders untense under the steaming water, eventually melting away the tension that had settled into my body. I started slowly by immersing my hair in a lot of shampoo before using the tips of my fingers to massage the roots, working my way to the ends. Hair day was my favourite day of the week because I got to enjoy myself under the warm water of the washroom, sometimes alone. It really depended on the kind of day it was on campus. The sound of the water hitting the floor mixed with the gentle hum that settled in my throat instantly made me relax slightly. I felt the warm water on my face. It continued down my hair, down my back and finally into the drain. "You have nice boobs, damn!" My first response after hearing that voice was to scream as I violently tried to turn off the shower. My fingers reached out quickly to grab the knob, twisting and turning to shut it off. I felt my heart hammer in my chest, threatening to come out of my ass as I did so. Who's that??! I wiped the water from my face with my fingers and spun around on the tile to face the owner of the voice, my hand instinctively grabbing the clean white towel that I had hung over the stall. There she stood, her blonde hair falling down her neck, stopping just at her chest. A few strands had escaped across her forehead, sticking out in every direction like she had run her hands through it too many times. She had a face covered in freckles, scattered most heavily across the bridge of her nose and cheeks. Her eyes were a clear, striking blue, framed by long lashes that made her stare seem far more innocent than it actually was. She was breathtaking. For a moment, neither of us said anything. I only stared, still clutching the towel against my chest. Then the corner of her mouth slowly lifted into a smirk. Oh, no. "Sorry to scare you off, pretty, but you're very attractive." She continued to speak while her eyes raked over my body, leaving me utterly ashamed in her presence. I didn't know when my confusion and embarrassment turned into anger. I reached forward and slammed the door shut in her face, a small yelp from the other side alerting me that she was thrown off completely. She let out a chuckle. "I was just complimenting you!" "You don't compliment people when they're naked!" I seethed. My hair, by this time, was starting to drip down my back, the cold droplets adding more to my already frustrated self. I waited for a couple of minutes, trying to hear any sounds of movement, but I didn't hear anything. I cracked open the door, hesitantly peeking out just to see that the blonde girl was still in the washroom, this time, stark naked! I peeled my eyes off her, and that's when she turned to look at me. "The name's Kiera." I tried my best to ignore her words, as they only made me more angry. I finished by packing up my things, the towel tied tightly to my chest as I did so. During this time, Kiera didn't make another comment. She just minded her business over the sink, which made me wonder why she didn't do that in the first place. I soon left the washroom and walked down the corridors into my room where I saw Violet on my bed. "Hey girlie, you look weird." She said the moment she saw my face, and I was forced to groan, still slightly embarrassed that a creep was watching me bathe. That was so embarrassing and humiliating! Violet leaned upwards on my bed, her lips stretching into concern. "What's wrong?" She asked, and I could genuinely sense the concern in her voice. I only sighed before going to my locker and picking out some clothes I was going to wear, going nonverbal. I just wanted to be left alone for now. Thankfully, Violet understood my silence and continued going about her business, munching loudly on a cut of apple. "I met a girl while I was in the washroom." I started slowly, which made Violet subtly turn in her position to face me. "She said I had nice breasts." Violet broke out into hysterical laughter soon after I completed my statement. I silently watched her, waiting for her to stop her laughing party and get on with talking. "That's hot." She said, staring at me before ruffling her hair. I stared at her with my eyes wide open. "She snuck up on me and was watching me bathe. That was so creepy." Violet only shook her head in some kind of amusement that seemed to scream, " You innocent girl. She munched on her apple again, still smiling. "Did she tell you her name?" I nodded my head, turning back on my feet to close my locker. By this time, Violet had already left my bed and gone to hers. "I wish that happened to me. A complete stranger complimenting my breasts in an empty washroom sounds very sexy to me." I crinkled my nose at Violet's words. She was very blunt when it came to saying things, and that terrified me sometimes. I just hoped she didn't say things that would land her in trouble. Not that she didn't have the potential to land in trouble, but nevertheless. "Violet, that's harassment. Who goes up to people complimenting them while they wash up?" I tried to knock some sense into her head, knowing that Violet liked things like this. It was something her personality could handle. Instead of seeing sense in what I was trying to say, she leaned in from across her bed. "Was she hot? I bet she was." I grabbed my comb and gently ran it down between my strands, detangling it carefully. I had decided to end the conversation there and then. Very silly girl. What do we think of Kiera?
"You always do this stupid thing when you get pissed and decide to shut the world out. It pisses me the fuck off, and you still wonder if I'm a good friend or not."Two hours. It had been two hours.Violet and Beatrice had been going back and forth. I didn't particularly know what was troubling them or why they were fighting, but Beatrice's voice was really loud. We had our room door opened for some odd reason, insisted by Violet.I sat quietly on my bed, silently listening to their chatter. It's not like I could avoid it either way. They were literally in the room fighting."The fuck you mean by that? Yes, I have issues of my own, but that doesn't mean you should try guilt-tripping me every time. I'm still human, and I understand that I have flaws. I'm working on it, I really am." Violet counters back, and for a second, I swear I heard her voice crack a little.Beatrice laughs. She gives a mocking laugh, almost like she didn't believe what she was hearing."Guilt trip?" she asks, tak
The first bell rang before I was ready for it.I slowly peeled one of my eyes opened, then the other. I had a very weird sleeping position where I would sleep with both of my hands over my chest and my body in a straight form. I don't know if I ever moved throughout the night, but I always woke up in this form.I feel another living thing close to me, making me pause in my thinking. I had a guess at the back of my mind. Slowly, hesitantly, I turned my head to the side to see a familiar face. Violet. For the past couple of days, Violet had been using my bed more than me. Sometimes, I would wake up to her squeezing me to her side or her little snores. However, she didn't snore every time. When I asked her about the sudden switch-up, she blatantly ignored my question, but I was certain it was because of the untidy space she had been ignoring for weeks.I gently lay upright, and on cue, the bell rang again, another ring to wake up the deep sleepers like Violet. It was always like this eve

It had been exactly a week since the incident at the Candle Procession. Ever since then, I couldn't quite wrap my head around the whole ordeal. That night, Emilia and Violet kept pestering me to answer their questions that I didn't have an answer for. It was a lot of pressure and confusion that was weighing on my chest.I hated being confused; it does a lot to my head. I remember the following morning, I had tried reaching out to my father. Turns out, we were only able to access our parents or guardians at the end of the term, which was very unfair, if you'd ask me. I tried not to think about it as the week went by, forcing myself to believe it was a completely normal thing to have happened. But deep down, I knew better. "She had a birthmark on her ass," a quiet voice snapped me out of it. I blinked and turned toward the voice. Violet was leaning sideways over her desk, and she had her hair sticking up in its usual messy knots. She doesn't necessarily spend
"Emilia? Can I borrow the lipstick you had on this morning? I'm going to try on a new makeup look tonight." Violet asks. She ruffles her hair and scoots close to me. I stare at her, and I see her roll her eyes. "Violet?" "Yes?" "Where's the lipstick I gave you? You promised you'd return it." I fold my hands across my chest and tilt my head, showing her that I wasn't joking around. It's been three weeks since I arrived at St. Aurelia. Three weeks since my life gradually started changing, and three weeks since I met Violet. Needless to say, Violet was always fond of things like this, and it only happened to me. She would take my stuff and forget to give it back. Well, I don't know if she ever forgets, but she never returns them. I've been trying to be patient with her, but seeing as she was about to borrow Emilia's thing, I already knew where this was going. "Oh." She says with a small smile on her lips. "So about that, I don't know where I put them, but I promise to get you a ne

Her dark hair was gathered with a little cute pink comb, though a few damp pieces had escaped, curling against the side of her neck. Her pen kept running across the paper with full concentration. It was bewitching. Beside her sat a cup of sage tea, untouched, a thin skin forming over the cold liquid. I sighed under my breath. It was embarrassing how easily I noticed everything she did. The little ink s
