I turned my head sharply, breathing heavily.

Mom stood, rooted to the ground, her eyes wide open as she held onto Trixie tightly, her body trembling.

“Mo...m,” I breathed, realisation hitting me.

“That was just a warning,” Dr Ella said with a smirk, slowly walking towards me, calm but calculated.

She leaned closer to my ear, tugging my hair behind it, “When I want answers, you'd better have them ready.”

“You’ll pay for this,” I seethed, tugging at the chain.

“Right,” She scoffed, “and how do you plan on making me do that?” She tilted to the side, shaking her head.

“These chains aren't just an ordinary chain,” She continued with a smirk. “You’re not the first werewolf to be bound in those.”

I groaned, trying to break free from the chain. “Let them go, I'm the one you need.” I pleaded.

She chuckled, softly as she moved towards the door. “Nice try Ava, but they're still useful.”

“Ella!” I screamed after her. “Ella!”

My jaw tightened, fist clenched.
