LOGIN“Happy Birthday!”
The voices hit me immediately I walked into the house with Caleb, for a moment I just stood with my eyes wide open as I stared at all the glittering balloons and the pair of eyes boring into my skin.
“Woah!” I mouthed. “Hey guys.”
“Happy birthday sweetheart.” Mom said as a drop of tears fell from her eyes.
“Thank you so much mom.”
The party began, I greeted most of my cousins specifically from my mother's side, of course, no one from dad's family was here. I've never had any relationship from people from my father's side. Mom wasn't the type to always tell me stuffs about dad. So I didn't bother her.
I gave out my best smiles as I talked and answered everyone's greetings. It was really nice bonding with my family.
“Ava!” Aunt Maya called off out walking towards me with open arms.
“Aunt maya.” I responded with a smile as she engulfed me in a tight hug. Aunt Maya was mom's immediate elder sister, she was this type of family member you could always rely on when there's a problem. But she's a huge talker, once Aunt Maya sees you, you are in for huge hours of talks and advices.
“You’ve grown so much. I could remember how little you were the last time I came over.” she grinned and I could only let out a forced laugh.
I prayed for her session of disturbance to end and just like a miracle, I heard mom's voice call for me. “Excuse me, Aunt Maya, I think I heard mom calling.” I seized the excuse and moved out of her embrace.
“Mom did you call me?”
“No dear, is there a problem?” she answered as she laughed at one of the dry jokes and uncle of mine was telling her.
Weird, I thought I heard her call.
“Ava.” I heard the tiny voice again, I looked around but everyone seemed to be busy. I shrugged it off, maybe I was beginning to go crazy just like Caleb said earlier.
Finally, the party was over. I stood by the door as I thanked everyone as they left. Tradition.
“See you at school tomorrow, I've got soccer practice so I have to be early. I might not pick you up.” Caleb said.
“Way to go caleb.” I scoffed.
“I promise I'll make it be to you.”
“You better.” he said grinning.
Finally, people were gone and it was time to clean the whole house, it looked messy.
“Ava?” mom silently called. “We've got to talk.” This time with a stern voice.
I sat down as I faced her, giving her my full attention as she began, her hands strongly clasped together and when she looked up, her eyes had a glint of tears in them.
“You know,” she began softly, “when I look back at time, I smile and congratulate myself. It hadn't been easy raising a kid alone but here she is eighteen years old.”
“i've never told you a lot of things about your father,” she said, her voice trembling. “but I think it is best you know them now cause I can feel that time is almost up.”
“Mom.” I drawled, “I'm kinda confused here, what are you talking about, what time is almost up?” I asked with a furrowed brow.
Mom was beginning to give me the chills, she was acting like the letter I had received earlier.
She sniffed as she continued, “When I met your dad, my thoughts about a lot of things changed, and that is, about the supernatural. I got to find out that there are special breed of beings that have certain powers and your father Ava, was a part of it.” She took a huge breath as she continued, “Your father was a werewolf.”
I didn't know what was funny but I suddenly bursted out laughing.
“Mom, really? Dad, a werewolf. Mom, those things don’t exist, I think you've been watching so much movie and it has gotten the best of you.” I chuckled but mom remained still, she only stared at me.
My laugh died down, she can't be serious right?
“Ava, you are a half wolf and you have been fated to the Alpha of the Dark moon park. I didn't believe your father and his people, not until I saw them turn before my very eyes. But everything always had a consequence. Your father had slept with a human and that caused him his life.” Mom broke down in tears. I found all this so hard to believe, who would wake up and believe when you're being told that you're a werewolf.
I tried speaking but no words came out of my mouth. It was like as though a huge lump got stuck in my throat.
“I took you away from them and went into hiding for eighteen years. I thought they wouldn't find us but guess I was wrong.” she chuckled silently, “I was visited by a member of the pack about a week ago, I was warned to tell you the truth about yourself or I'll suffer the same fate as my husband. Their Alpha needs you. I am so sorry for hiding this from you, I thought I had saved us. I'm truly sorry.” Hot tears trailed down her cheeks as her voice cracked.
I finally found my voice but I just couldn't say anything. I imagined how hard it would have been for mom to take care of me all this while, I moved closer to mom and engulfed her into a hug. This was my best way of telling her that I love her. The hug held so much emotions.
After a few moments of quietness, we disengaged, I stared at mom, I had so much to ask.

I fell on my bed as I recall everything I and mom had just finished discussing. This was like as if it was a movie, it sounded something similar to the movie Underworld. I was a half wolf and I was the mate to the Alpha of my park. It sounded all funny but it's just the real truth.
And just like the speed of lightening, I rushed towards the letter, it explains everything. This could have been sent by my Alpha, I chuckled silently as I called out “My Alpha.”
He had sent me the message but why write it in a weird manner.
I picked up my phone and dialed Caleb's number but immediately stopped, I had to ask mom before I could tell Caleb.
I growled and fell back on my bed with the letter on my hand, I silently drifted off to sleep, the words still whispering in my ears.
“You are a half wolf and you have been fated to the Alpha.”
AVAI walked into the meeting room and as usual, everyone was seated, all waiting for me. I really needed to stop being the last to show up.I took my seat next to Selene, adjusting myself properly.“Shall we begin?” Xavier asked as he rose to his feet.“Greetings everyone, and thank you for coming on such short notice.” He began, his eyes narrowing and darting across the room.“Ethan and his men have made their move, we do not know when they will attack or how, so I urge you all to be alert. I have instructed the warriors to tighten the pack’s security.”“My lord,” An elder said, raising his hand.“Yes, elder Pete?” Xavier replied.“Does it mean we need to stop any activity we have ongoing in the pack?” He asked.“No,” Xavier answered, calmly. “You can all continue on your activities, go about your daily lives. I trust that the warriors would protect us and alert us when Ethan makes his move.”“Then how about the meeting with the international wolf pack?” Selene asked, grabbing the a
CALEBI strolled into the garden, I needed to clear my head. The moment I stepped in, I froze on the spot, I was unable to move. My chest tightened, stomach twisted. It felt as though something piercing had hit me. My heart shattered into a thousand pieces.Ava had betrayed me, she had betrayed the love we shared. My eyes blurred from what I witnessed. Ava gave in to him, allowing him kiss her, she didn't move, she didn't bulge. She only stood, watching him lean closer to her before placing his lips on hers.I didn't know what to do, I just felt stuck, I couldn't breathe, my throat ran dry.Slowly, I turned, leaving the garden. I dragged my legs into my room, falling on the bed.I stared at the ceiling, and memories that I shared with Ava came rushing in. Ava had always promised me that she would never do anything to betray our love, but I was a fool to believe her. Only if I knew, I just trusted her but she threw the trust away.Who am I kidding? She had always been in love with Xavi
XAVIER“Fuck!” I growled, picking the flower vase in my room and throwing it on the wall as it shattered.I never meant to make Ava snap at me. We were already on the verge of settling our peace and now I just had to make it worse.I didn't know what pushed me, I guess it was the anger. Yes, I shouldn't have blamed her for that but she was the primary cause of it.I ran my hand through my hair, opening a glass of vodka as I poured the contents into a cup, and with one gulp, it was gone.I was about to pour in another when a soft tap on the door came.“Who is it?” I groaned.“Logan.” He answered.Just the perfect person I was looking for.For the past five years, since I was given the title of alpha, I had not had a good talk with Logan. Most of the time, I feel like he's angry with me, and at other times, I just clear my thoughts.“Come in,” I said.He pulled the door, stepping in as though he had just committed a crime.“Busy?” He asked, his eyes darting around the room.“Wanna join?
AVAI walked into the room as the guard directed. Seated and waiting patiently were Xavier, Selene, Logan, and Elder Marcus, and of course, Xavier's secretary, James, whom, up until this moment, I hadn't known why he was the secretary, meanwhile, he had a beta.“Uhh... what's going on?” I said softly, staring around the room.“Nice of you to join us, Ava, we just have one more person to join us,” Xavier said, completely ignoring my question.“Who?” I whispered, leaning in towards Selene.“Her,” She replied, subtly pointing at the door.I tilted my head towards the door, the detective was standing at the entrance, a guard behind her.“Hi,” She murmured, waving as she took the seat beside me.“Thank you all for being here,” Xavier said, his tone unusually stern. “James please go on and tell them what news we've received.”“Yes sir,” He muttered, clearing his throat and fixing his glasses that stood on the bridge of his nose, giving him a nerd look.“This message is being directed to the
AVAIt was morning already, and the household was already busy. I strolled quietly, like a ghost. I got to the guest room, pulling the knob before the door made way.I got in, and there he was, still sprawled up on the bed and sleeping, as if the room belonged to him.“Hey,” I tugged at him, gently trying to wake him up but he didn't stirMy eyes roamed around the room, trying to find anything that I could use to wake him, and then it fell on the bathroom door.My lips curled, slow and evil as I walked towards the door.“What are you doing?” His voice slurred and groaned, and stretched.“Finally, you're awake.” I sat on the one single chair in the room, crossing my legs as I stared at him.“Oh my goodness,” He muttered, covering his mouth. “The head alpha is sitting a few inches away from me.”I rolled my eyes and scoffed. “What do you want, exactly?”“What do I want?” He repeated, aching a brow.I leaned backwards on the chair, my arms still crossed, “Your story, it sounds...” I paus
WARNING!!! Explicit sensual content below!!SELENE’S POVI sat in my study, going through some documents. We weren't just werewolves whose lives stopped in the woods. We had a small business operating in the human territory, which is how we generated our wealth. Thanks to Xavier.Just as he was a music celebrity, he used his earnings to build a company in the human sector. I'm the managing director of the company. That is more reason why I supported Ava when she said we needed to open the public. I was tired of hiding and playing hide-and-seek. I wanted to be free, and not locked up in these woods, and just being a Luna. I was tired of it, and I needed to explore more of the outside world.I flipped through the pages, signing on deals that I hadn't had the time to do.A knock sounded at the door, so gentle.“Come in,” I said, my gaze not leaving the work I was doing.“Busy?” I heard his voice, calm and satisfying. He came closer, his body just an inch away as he stared at what I was d
