Chapter Ten

Flavius and I enter the chambers the twins are currently residing in. The cavern is lit dimly with torches. While the setting sun lets in flecks of violet light through the cave opening.

"Have you settled in well?" I ask the sisters.

"Your home is very comfortable, " Nathalia replies with a light shake of her head.

"I was surprised the Perilous mountain is much larger than our home," Alec comments.

"I had heard from my grandfather that due to the location and size of the mountain it was once used as a military base during the reign of king Sindre," I say.

"I believe that back in those times this mountain was referred to as the Lochness Fortress. Lochness was a great military leader so king Sindre honored him by naming the fortress after him," Nathalia mentions.

I raise an eyebrow in surprise.

"Grandfather never mentioned that this place was once named after him," I say.

"Lochness battled a long time to break free from king Sindre's oppress
