At the Pharmacy

After the breakfast, Irene visited the pharmacy, while Jenny left for her office. The pharmacist welcomed her and ran a Widal test to check the salmonella bacteria that could cause typhoid fever. While she was waiting for the results, she looked at Irene, who was sitting in the waiting room, and busy with her phone. She observed that she looked pale, and suggested, “Madam, can you come over? I forgot to run a test.”

She looked up from her phone, and faced the pharmacist. Then, she walked quickly to her, and inquired, “I hope it would not keep me longer? I need to get back to work.”

“Not at all. You can give us your urine sample and return to work. You can come for the results later.”

The pharmacist proposal made sense to her, and she consented, “That would be great. I will be back.”
