Speechless

As soon as the words left her mouth she felt the ground should open up and swallow her. How could she say that to him? Now he's really going to throw her out, and her body began to tremble. Mostly when his stature like body took a step towards her, and she caught her breath once more.

Why did she had to have such a loud mouth huh?

The light was now on his face a little and she saw his lips curve. He...smirked? And her insides tumbled, her belly somersaulted. But his eyes remained null and empty.

"Fine! Be my maid then, you Golden Venom" He said, and her eyes shot up.

"But you better be ready. I hope you can last a day..."

He was still speaking, but all she could see now was his body spinning,or was it the walls, or was it her? She didn't know but she just couldn't feel her legs anymore. I guess her body was at it's limit once again. He kept saying things but her ears were ringing, and she couldn't hear him.

At least...she had a place to stay for the time being...

And once again darkness welcomed her.

Maya woke up the next morning, and sat up from the floor. She was still were she had earlier fainted, at least even if he didn't move her back to the fireplace, he didn't throw her out of his house while she was unconscious. She looked outside the window and it looked like the storm last night had subsided tremendously, and it was just little snow that was falling.

And the stranger wasn't standing there anymore.

Where was he anyways? She stood up, on a wobbly feet again but at least this time she could walk without feeling like she was about to fall. She looked around and couldn't find him, and then she was another different door, aside from the door leading outside.

Slowly, she walked over and knocked as softly as possible.

"Hello, are you in there?" She asked, when she got no reply. She knocked again, and when she still got zero answer, she slowly pushed the door a little, and peeked inside.

She could see a bed, and made out his manly figure on it. As expected he looked like a stature, and his eyes were closed. He must be sleeping. But then again, he isn't using any sheet to cover up himself and he must be feeling cold.

Maya then looked back at the fireplace, to see the sheet she had woken up with still neatly folded there. What...what is she thinking of doing!! But what if the cold affects him? No way she would let that happen!

She picked up the sheet, and then opened his door as slowly and carefully as possible making sure it didn't make a sound and she let herself inside his room. It's size was almost like the parlor, but what surprised her was that just as the parlor, there weren't much things here too.

Just his bed, a cupboard and a drawer. That was all.

As she got closer to him, the cold around dissapeared and it got hot again, just as last time. Even as he sleeps he still gives off that dangerous menacing aura of his. As she stood at the side of his bed, she could now see his face clearly...and once again she was spellbound!

His lashes were long, full and so very dark, his nose was perfect...She just knew she has never seen a nose as beautiful as his and probably would never. And when her eyes landed on his lips...she almost gasped but quickly slapped her palm against her lips before she made a sound and woke him up.

His lips...were blood red. You would actually think he rubbed blood on his lips but she could clearly see that it wasn't blood and that was actually their color. Wow! His sight was just so mesmerizing.

She gripped what she holding tightly, suddenly feeling nervous when she looked down at what she was holding and finally realized why she had even stepped into his room. Dang it how the hell did she get carried away by him? She was just suppose to put him on the sheet and leave!

Quickly, she spread out the sheet and draped it all across him accidentally covering his face too. She bent down and pulled it away gently tucking it at the sides if his shoulders. He still hadn't moved, and she sighed in relief that he hadn't moved yet.

Wait...is he even alive?? No no no...she had seen his chest moving up and down slowly so he's definitely alive. She finished what she was doing and was just about to move away when the temperature in the room skyrocketed once again. Real heat crept into her skin and she could have sworn she felt a sweat sliding down her forehead in this winter.

And then she looked at his face.

His brown opened eyes, glaring at her coldly.

She jumped back from him, startled and feeling something roughly familiar in her veins. Her chest was moving fast, as she watch him sat up and all her hard work went down the drain as the sheet slid down his body to his waist.

Perfect!

He was now staring at her, and she looked back at him trying to ignore her racing heart. She was only helping him so why was he staring at her like he wanted to murder her.

No! Ignore him... ignore him...

"It's winter, and it's cold" I said, and cursed at myself. Of course it's cold when it's winter. But nevertheless I continued, praying he won't say anything and just let it go,"  you slept off without covering yourself, so as your maid I came to help"

"I didn't ask for your help, Goldy!" He all but... whispered.

"But that's my job..."

"I believe a maid is only to do what is asked of her"

"But you would have caught a cold!" She argued back.

"Like I said, I never asked for your help"

"But you're still gonna receive it. I'm sorry, but I just can't watch when someone needs help and..."

Is this girl really arguing with him?? The hell!! Such nerve!! Isn't she even afraid?? Was he not affecting her like he did to others? Is she really human?!!!

"Venom!!!" He thundered, and she finally closed her mouth.

He took a good look at her again. She was still covering her face with that piece of clothing. Her whole face was covered, except her golden eyes. Those eyes which...

It can't be! To him? No it just can't be.

Even her hair was covered too, but just with a cap. To others, it was a miracle that she had survived that long out in the snow but it also shocked him.

She was completely covered with snow, but her finger was still poking up and he heard her saying..."please"...

How did this thing bony looking thing manage to survive that long and he didn't know when his body moved and next thing he knew he had brought her back here. Gosh this isn't like him at all!! Where did all his senses go at that time?? Imagine what would happen if someone saw him...doing this...

But then again, she had kept surprising him even after that with her boldness, and the way she looked him in the eye as if she could see what was hidden deep down in him. For the first time, someone interesting had camealong...

And he was willing to find out just how much...

How much this Goldy vemon was. Who was she exactly?

She would look away sometimes and then look back at him, then look away and look back and...

"Goldy?" He called out.

"Hmm?" She looked at him again. He could see her shifting on her feet. She was nervous...not scared.

"Get!! Out!!" He Enuciated each word loudly and she quickly scampered to the door, but just as she was about to close it she peeked back saying," Try and cover yourself next time or I'll do it for you again"

And then she was gone, the door closing.

Leaving him speechless. This girl is really... something.

Maya found a piece of clothing in a corner and got to work. She dusted out everywhere, and even cleaned the fireplace. Everywhere looked better the minute she finished, but not her. She needed a bath, and of course another change of clothes.

Speaking of clothes, she felt like asking him who had changed her clothes last night but she just couldn't seem to let the word slip out of her lips.

"Come with me" she suddenly heard his voice behind her, and there he was standing by the door side leading outside, she didn't even notice when he had stepped out from the room.

"Where? Where are we going?" Maya stood up to walk over to him but he had already closed the door with a bang. She ran after him outside, and he was already a little far from her so she had to run again to catch up with him.

That wasn't all...this man was walking incredibly fast that Maya legs felt like breaking.

"Sir, Please..." She breathed " slow down please..."

Her legs shook from the cold. What really baffled her was that he wasn't even putting on a coat or something, he just stepped outside into the cold.

He kept walking without looking back at her, even increasing his pace and Maya got the strange feeling that he was doing it on purpose. Was he angry that she had covered him up? Is he trying to teach her a lesson by doing this??

They travelled for almost two hours without stopping to rest, and at that point Maya's body had gotten worse. She was gonna be sick again. Suddenly he stopped, and she could have sworn he had glanced at her but she wasn't sure.

There were hooting sounds around her and wondered what was happening till she raised her head and looked around.

The...city?? People were busy walking around, and cars were on the road. There were several buildings, long and short ones and Maya could only stare with her mouth agape. Is this their destination? I guess the two hours running was actually worth it.

A shiny black car screeched, stopping in front of them and the man quickly slipped inside and closed the door, leaving her standing there.

"Maid, Let me find you standing in front of my house before I get there myself or you'll be fired!" He hissed from the car, his eyes focused straight.

Huh???!! How is that suppose to be possible!! Isn't his house two hours away from here? Or does he has another here?

"Wait sir, I don't know how..." She hadn't completed her sentence when the car engine ignited, and Maya panicked.

From that moment onwards, she had only one reasoning, only one thought on how to do that...and before her brain could register what she was actually thinking, she had already done it.

This was the third time she had left him dumbstruck.

Nothing and no one during his entire life had ever left him speechless even for a second but this woman had already done so to him three times in less that twenty four hours. His driver was fast, and he just couldn't comprehend how she still hasn't fallen off.

Her body should be extremely weak by now, but she...

How could she...

How could she have jumped on the top of the car looking like a kite and hanging on for dear life! He was so taken aback that he didn't notice his phone had been buzzing for a while now...

"What is it..." He asked when he picked up.

And his expression darkened once again.
