Chapter 60: End of Battle: The Last Wish
Ancient Egypt, the ninth district of Ta Shemau.
Meru’s eyes widened as he saw the fate of his beloved witch priestess in the eye of the elite seer. It was a miracle he wasn’t sucked by it. He dropped unto his knees, facing the Medjay who also watched the fate of their enemies. He looked down at his opponent, General Meru.
“Let me die right on this battlefield, Medjay. My life has no meaning without my beloved ones—my mother, the king… and Priestess Nehes.”
The Medjay looked at him with pity in his eyes for his longtime enemy. The general sure did change his mind in killing him after witnessing his beloved priestess’ demise.
