*Princess Ana Mae's Pov*

I stayed in my room all day to avoid Amira. It's not like I'm afraid of her, I just want our family to have peace. I love her because she's my cousin and I don't want to see her living a miserable life. Father will surely punish her for bullying me and I don't want that to happen. So I will do everything to avoid her for her own sake.

"Your Highness, dinner is ready," Lean said as soon as she entered my room. I felt sad, no matter how much I tried to avoid my cousin it is still way too impossible to avoid her during dinner. Dinner in the palace is considered our family time. No one is allowed to skip dinner because it is considered as our bonding. And the only time where we get to talk about what we did during the day and some family affairs.

I sighed before I slowly stood up and fix my skirt. As princess I need to be prim and proper in any situation and time. I walked slowly and Lean is following me from behind.

"Your Highness, are you okay?" I stopped walking when I heard her speak. I turn around to face her and gave her a warm smile.

"I'm fine Lean, don't worry about me," I assured her. She slightly nod and then she gave me a half smile. Based on her facial expression I know she's really worried about me. She knows how much I wanted to avoid Amira, but sadly I can't avoid her all the time.

After a long walk we finally reached the dining hall. I slowly walk towards the direction of the dining table with a smile on my face.

"Good evening mom and dad!" I greeted my parents and kissed them both on their cheeks.

"Good evening our beautiful moonlight," dad said lovingly. I automatically smiled with what he said. And when I looked at mom she's smiling as well. My heart felt a different kind of warmth and fulfillment. Seeing both my parents happy made me happy as well.

I turned my gaze to my cousin Amira and her mom Aunt Anatalia. They stood up from their seats to pay respect. They are that respectful infront of my parents, but when I'm all alone they treat me like a disease they want to disappear.

"Good evening your highness," they greeted in unison.

"Good evening aunt Anatalia and Amira," I greeted them back before I took the seat beside my mom.

We started eating silently. No one tried to start a conversation so all we did was to eat and savor the delicious taste of the food.

After a few minutes, father decided to break the silence. He cleared his throat first before he spoke, "Amira and Ana Mae are growing up so fast. Home schooling is no longer beneficial to them. They have to meet new friends and be vulnerable to the life outside this palace walls."

I was totally shocked with what he said. I'm going to study in a university now? That's awesome! But the fact that I'm going there with my cousin made me worried.

I diverted my gaze to my cousin Amira and her mom. They are both happy with father's announcement. And when I looked at mom, I could tell that she's worried. And I understand because this is going to be the first time that I will be away from them. Maybe she's worried about how will I be living outside the walls of the palace and without her care.

"Mom, I will be fine," I assured her. She smiled and held my hand.

"Just tell me if you need anything, and if you're struggling because I will automatically bring you back here," she said that made my father laugh.

"Maurice, our daughter is a lady now. She's no longer the child you used to carry in your arms. She needs to feel independent even just for a while. She will be the ruler of Citrine and in order to do that she must establish a strong connection with the people she's going to rule. Staying inside the palace is not a good idea. Don't worry too much, Amira is there to take good care of her younger cousin," dad promised mom.

"Your husband's right your highness, my daughter will look after the crown princess. Right sweety?" Aunt Anatalia turned to look at her daughter who's now smiling from ear-to-ear and probably planning something in her mind.

"Ofcourse mom, my cousin is safe with me," she answered before she gave me a mischievous smile.

"Thank you so much Amira. I entrust her to you, so promise me that you will do whatever it takes to keep her safe," mom said worriedly.

"I promise your highness,"

The next morning we left the palace without even saying goodbye to my mom. Dad said she does not want to see me leave because she might end up stopping me and putting back all my things to it's proper places inside my room.

"Stop acting like you're about to die! We will just study there it's not like we are about to get killed," Amira said mocking me.

We are riding the same carriage and already on our way to the west side of Citrine where the University is located.

"I'm just worried about mom," I answered with a hint of sadness.

"Oh come on Ana Mae! You're worried about the queen or you're worried because you might end up failing them? We all know how weak you are and without your parent's guidance you will be a complete failure." She laughed so hard trying to insult me.

I wanted to cry but tears won't fall from my eyes for some unknown reason.

"Princess Amira, if you're not going to say something good please shut your mouth!" Lean suddenly spoke. She's sitting beside me and was probably annoyed by my cousin's words. She's with us because she's going to study in the university as well as ordered by my parents.

"How dare you tell a princess like me to shut up! You are just a lowly servant so you must know your place!" Amira shouted at her.

"Amira please stop!" I tried to stop my cousin but she just laughed at me.

"What if I don't? What will you do weak princess?" she asked obviously insulting me. I was taken a back with what she said. She calls me weak? Does avoiding conflicts makes a person weak?

"You are being disrespectful Princess Amira! Yes, you are a princess but you are talking to the crown princess the future queen of this land. And obviously someone higher than you!" Lean reminded her that made her angry. She's now like a lion willing to kill anytime.

"Lean," I spoke as if trying to make her stop from provoking my cousin.

"Your highness I'm here to protect you. And I will fulfill that mission no matter what it costs me," she answered that made my heart melt. I'm really blessed that I have a servant like her.

"Very well then, let's see if how long will you be able to protect your princess," Amira challenged Lean. I sighed! She's really not going to give us peace!

  • Ember Of Love   Chapter 45;

    *First Person's POV* Just as when I was about to blame myself, Leanna spoke, "No madame! The Gods did not sacrifice all of you!" The woman diverted her gaze to her. "And how did you know?" she asked while raising her left brow. "Because I'm one of the servants of the Gods. I am the guardian of the chosen one, and I know the whole story," Leanna stated while the woman stared at her with wide eyes. "So you're one of their accomplices? And you planned all of this just to know our whereabouts and sacrifice our lives once again? I really can't believe that the Gods could be that selfish! "No! I just want you to know the truth!" "We already know what the truth is!" the woman insisted."When we met the dark immortals earlier they told us that the reason why you hid yourselves down here, is that you are all selfish. But I did not believe them, because I don't want to judge someone without even knowing the truth. I just hope you will do the same with the God

  • Ember Of Love   Chapter 44;

    First Person's POV; "ZION!" I heard Diane screaming Zion's name. She must've been worried about him but the big question in my mind right now is, why would Zion risk his life to protect me? I stared at his eyes but still I could not see any emotion from it. He's still as cold as ice. "Your highness ,you better not forget our mission. Don't be so careless, or you might get yourself killed," Stefan said and Zion automatically let go of me. It's as if he was burned or something. "Are you okay Ana?" Diane asked as she hurriedly run towards me. Lyndon and Leanna did the same thing and they started checking if I got wounds or bruises. "I'm fine guys, you don't have to worry about me," I told them with a smile. The three of them stared at Zion with confusions written all over their faces. They were probably thinking on why the hell would Zion save my life, when he's obviously one of our enemies wishing for my death. Well, I wonder the same thing though. Maybe it

  • Ember Of Love   Chapter 43

    *First Person's Pov*Our journey to the North side of the forest lasted for two dark days. We were all exhausted when we reach the pear plantation.The place was serene and just like the other side of the forest, we did not see even a single animal walking around. All we could see through the tiny light of the moon are tall pear trees with fruits shining as it's touched by the moonlight."How are we going to find the white oracles here? All that's here are pear trees," Diane said frustratingly."Haven't you heard what Leanna told us before we came here? Pears are what the white oracles eat. So I'm pretty sure we're going to find one here!" Lyndon told Diane with a glare. I can't believe these two are starting to have their quarrels again."Guys please just be quite. We're not trying to let them know we're here and run off, aren't we?" I hushed them out."Sorry Ana, it just that there's some grinch over here!" Diane rolled her eyes at Lyndon."So you dare to say that I'm a grinch?

  • Ember Of Love   Chapter 42;

    *First Person's POV*Just by looking into his eyes I realised how much I've longed for him. And in a split second I found myself drowning in the valley of his gaze as I danced with the rhythm of my heart. I don't need a love like Romeo and Juliet's, nor of Edward and Bella. What I want is a unique and pure love whom I can call my own."Zion," I mumbled as the wind gently blows, touching his face. He stared at me emotionless, it's as if he doesn't even know who I am. How come? I thought our love was unforgettable. But it seems like I'm the only one who thinks that way."Oh my dear cousin." I was pulled out from my fantasies when I heard my cousin's voice."Amira? What are you doing here?" I asked her in disbelief. Don't tell me, that she and Zion came here together? My questions were answered when she clung to Zion's arms and smirked at me."Oh my dear cousin, it seems like you have fallen in love with someone you don't know," she told me with a smirk."What are you talking about

  • Ember Of Love   Chapter 41

    *Third Person's POV*"That chosen one is starting to piss me off!" Velion shouted angrily after receiving the news from the raven he sent to follow Princess Ana Mae."I did not know that they could easily know the secret on how to defeat those spirit knights," Amira said in disbelief. Velion stared at her angrily and she nervously swallowed the lump in her throat."And you! You're a coward! You should've fought with her instead of leaving those spirit knights alone!" he yelled at her. "You could've defeated her since I have given you a lot of powers. But you're still useless!""I'm sorry my king, I promise to do my job better next time. Just please don't punish me," she begged. She's too scared to be killed. She don't want to die without avenging her mom. Besides, all her efforts would be in vain if Velion would kill her now."Surely you will. Because if you fail this time, I will kill you without having a second thought," he warned her. "I promise my king, just tell me what you wan

  • Ember Of Love   Chapter 40

    *First Person's POV* The woods were covered with darkness and just like when we first entered this forest, we did not see even a single animal. Not even a chirp from a bird could be heard. "It's getting creepier in here," Diane whispered to me while biting her nail. It's some kind of mannerism for her whenever she fell nervous. "I know but we still have to travel to the North part of this forest. We need to find the white oracles as soon as possible," I told her. And with the tiny light from the moon, I saw her pout. "Yeah but don't you think we need to rest a bit? Those dark spirit knights drained all my strength," she complained which made me chuckle. "I think you're right. After all we're all exhausted after that intense fight ,we all deserve to rest," I agreed with her. "Let's look for a safe place to camp," Lyndon suggested. We all agreed and look for a safe place to stay. Leanna walked farther from us so she could check if the area is safe.

  • Ember Of Love   Chapter 39

    "What shall we do now?" Diane said in panick. They were on their way to Alectrona's home on top of the mountain.They were walking on the dark woods and there's not even a sign of life there. It seems like even the animals were hiding because they're too afraid of the never ending night. "If we see Alectrona there, it would be the best option for us to bring her with us to the heaven realm, but if she's no longer herself then we have to prepare to defend ourselves," Leanna reminded everyone."She's right, we have to be prepared for anything," Lyndon added."And where the hell do you think you're going?" A cold voice from behind suddenly spoke."Who's that?" Princess Ana shouted as she motioned everyone to ready their weapons. Lyndon took out his sword while Diane prepared her bow and arrow. Leanna stood infront of Princess Ana to protect her from sudden attacks."HAHAHAHAHA how rude of you my dear cousin. You seem to be forgetful nowadays. It's bad."All of a sudden Princess Ana reme

She looked around to check for someone following her but the woods were silent and all she could hear is the sound of the night owl."I know there's somebody following me," she said to herself. She could feel a dark aura behind her and it's making her nervous. She took out her sword to prepare herself from possible attacks."HAHAHAHAHAHA stupid Alectrona, don't tell me your powers are not that strong anymore? Why don't you call the sun to come out to help you find me." She felt goosebumps when she heard an evil voice behind her. The voice is so familiar to her."VELION!" she shouted angrily. "HAHAHAHAHA you got it right baby," the voice replied and in a split second she found herself being surrounded by dark smoke."You will never get me infected with your stupid miasma. NEVER!" she

  • Ember Of Love   Chapter 37;

    *First Person's Pov*I've been like an idiot waiting for the rubies and doves to appear. The prophecy might be wrong, or maybe my mortal parents found a different child and I'm not really the Goddess of Love's daughter. And just when I thought I disappointed everyone, I saw hope on their faces when I opened my eyes. They all believe in me, and I should be doing the same thing to myself."I can do this!" I encouraged myself before I closed my eyes once again.I thought about everyone, about the two worlds that I need to protect from Velion's greed. And in my vission I saw the children's innocent faces, couples living a happy life together, trees, animals. Everyone is living a happy and peaceful life, and I could not afford to fail them. They all deserve a life like that and it will all depend on me. I'm the chosen one and I should believe that the prophecy chose me because I am strong and capable."Wow they're beautiful!" I automatically opened my eyes when I heard Diane's words. And
