 *Princess Ana Mae's Pov*

Days have passed after that incident but I still can't get Zion out of my mind. His bravery and the willingness to save me is something that I really admired him for. I was lucky he was there, I could have died if he did not come to save me. But the thing that bothers me the most is how on earth a beast like that could really exist? It feels so unreal for me. But the fact that it was about to kill me gives me goosebumps.

"Your highness, it's almost time for our first class," Leana reminded me.

"Oh! I'm sorry Leana, I almost forgot!" My mind is occupied by Zion and that beast that I forgot about the time.

"What's wrong your highness? Are you still thinking about your oh so mighty savior?" she teased.

"What on earth are you saying Leana? I'm thinking about my parents. I really miss them," I answered. Atleast I did not lie completely because I really miss my mom and dad. How I wish I could go back to the palace every weekends but that's impossible. No one is allowed to leave the school premises until the school year is over.

"I'm pretty sure that they feel the same way towards you your highness. But please understand that this is for your own good," she said trying to comfort me. I sighed before I nodded.

             "I know," I mumbled.

We left our room together. While walking I can't help but wish to see Zion. After that incident I never got the chance to see him and I think I'm starting to feel like I miss him. I know this is inappropriate because a princess like me does not have the freedom to fall in love. One day I will marry the person chosen by my parents and not the one I really love. But we can't choose when, where and who to fell in love. We just feel it like an unpredictable earthquake. But the sad reality and the consequence of being a royal is that my heart can't really have what she desires.

We were halfway to our classroom when we saw the crowd panicking. Some students were shouting like they have seen something interesting.

"What's going on?" I asked out of confusion. Leana just shrugged her shoulders, as if telling me that she's obviously unaware of her surroundings. She's busy reading again, old habits really die hard.

My curiosity is killing me so I started to walk towards the busy crowd. I could hear the girls giggling while the boys were in complete shock. I wonder what's in front of them that they were all in that state.

"He's really handsome!" a blonde haired girl screamed.

"Handsome? Could it be Zion?" I asked in a small voice enough for my ears to hear.

"Excuse me? What's going on here?" I asked them. They all turned around to look at me and for a moment I saw them froze. Their eyes were sparkling and their lips were slightly parted. Seriously? What's going on with these people?

"Hey! Are you guys okay?" I snapped. They lower down their heads in unison.

               "Your highness!" they all chanted.

"We are sorry for not acknowledging your presence earlier," a tall guy with blue hair and a tan skin apologized.

"No it's okay!  You don't have to apologize. And besides we are all students here, you don't have to bow or lower down your heads everytime you will see me," I said with a smile. I just find it annoying everytime I felt like they all look scared infront of me. I don't want them to feel that way.

"But you are a princess, we should respect you," a girl from my left side spoke.

I smiled at her before answering, "Yes I'm a princess. But in this school I am just a student just like all of you. We all have equal rights inside this university."

They went silent for a while before they gave me a warm smile.

"The rumors are true, the crown princess of Citrine is really blessed with a kind soul," another girl said. I smiled after hearing her words. I'm really flattered with how the people see me as a person.

"Yes, unlike the second princess. I'm sorry about this your highness but we dislike your cousin. She's so bad and she's acting like a cunning bitch!" a brunette haired girl exclaimed.

"Vilmera shut up! You might get your head cut with your words!" the guy beside him warned her. He's probably her boyfriend.

"I'm sorry your highness," she apologized.

"Don't worry, I won't tell her. But please try to be careful next time. She might hear your words. And besides, my cousin Amira is not that bad. Just give her a chance she could be a good friend to all of you," I explained with a smile. They all nodded in response.

"Your highness! Why did you leave me? We're almost late for our first class!" Leana said while panting. I laughed when I turned around to face her. She's panting while holding her book in her left hand.

"Did you just ran?" I asked her while laughing.

"Of course your highness. I thought you were just beside me but I was shocked to see that I was all alone," she retorted.

"I got curious, and I was asking you but you were busy reading. So I came here to find the answer to my curiosity," I explained. She heaved a deep sigh and started to scan the whole crowd.

"But everything looks normal here your highness," she said in a confused tone.

"Well, it wasn't before I came here. I heared screams of excitement so I got curious."

"We're sorry your highness, but we just saw the prince and princess of the other two kingdoms," Vilmera explained. I diverted my gaze to her after hearing what she just said.

               "Which kingdom?" I asked curiously.

She was about to answer but she went silent when a sweet female voice spoke.

"The kingdom of Valor and Ethmus." Everyone turned to face her including me. I was astonished with what my eyes are seeing right now. Infront of us is a girl with a hair that's as white as snow and crystal blue eyes. She has a fair white complexion and her smile made her even more beautiful. Beside her is a guy with a shoulder length black hair , hazel brown eyes and a masculine body.

"Who are they?" I whispered to Leana.

"Your highness they are the other two royalties. The crown prince of Valor and the crown princess of Ethmus," she explained that made my whole world froze.

*First Person's POV* Just as when I was about to blame myself, Leanna spoke, "No madame! The Gods did not sacrifice all of you!" The woman diverted her gaze to her. "And how did you know?" she asked while raising her left brow. "Because I'm one of the servants of the Gods. I am the guardian of the chosen one, and I know the whole story," Leanna stated while the woman stared at her with wide eyes. "So you're one of their accomplices? And you planned all of this just to know our whereabouts and sacrifice our lives once again? I really can't believe that the Gods could be that selfish! "No! I just want you to know the truth!" "We already know what the truth is!" the woman insisted."When we met the dark immortals earlier they told us that the reason why you hid yourselves down here, is that you are all selfish. But I did not believe them, because I don't want to judge someone without even knowing the truth. I just hope you will do the same with the God

  • Ember Of Love   Chapter 44;

First Person's POV; "ZION!" I heard Diane screaming Zion's name. She must've been worried about him but the big question in my mind right now is, why would Zion risk his life to protect me? I stared at his eyes but still I could not see any emotion from it. He's still as cold as ice. "Your highness ,you better not forget our mission. Don't be so careless, or you might get yourself killed," Stefan said and Zion automatically let go of me. It's as if he was burned or something. "Are you okay Ana?" Diane asked as she hurriedly run towards me. Lyndon and Leanna did the same thing and they started checking if I got wounds or bruises. "I'm fine guys, you don't have to worry about me," I told them with a smile. The three of them stared at Zion with confusions written all over their faces. They were probably thinking on why the hell would Zion save my life, when he's obviously one of our enemies wishing for my death. Well, I wonder the same thing though. Maybe it

  • Ember Of Love   Chapter 43

*First Person's Pov*Our journey to the North side of the forest lasted for two dark days. We were all exhausted when we reach the pear plantation. The place was serene and just like the other side of the forest, we did not see even a single animal walking around. All we could see through the tiny light of the moon are tall pear trees with fruits shining as it's touched by the moonlight."How are we going to find the white oracles here? All that's here are pear trees," Diane said frustratingly."Haven't you heard what Leanna told us before we came here? Pears are what the white oracles eat. So I'm pretty sure we're going to find one here!" Lyndon told Diane with a glare. I can't believe these two are starting to have their quarrels again."Guys please just be quite. We're not trying to let them know we're here and run off, aren't we?" I hushed them out."Sorry Ana, it just that there's some grinch over here!" Diane rolled her eyes at Lyndon."So you dare to say that I'm a grinch?

  • Ember Of Love   Chapter 42;

*First Person's POV*Just by looking into his eyes I realised how much I've longed for him. And in a split second I found myself drowning in the valley of his gaze as I danced with the rhythm of my heart. I don't need a love like Romeo and Juliet's, nor of Edward and Bella. What I want is a unique and pure love whom I can call my own."Zion," I mumbled as the wind gently blows, touching his face. He stared at me emotionless, it's as if he doesn't even know who I am. How come? I thought our love was unforgettable. But it seems like I'm the only one who thinks that way."Oh my dear cousin." I was pulled out from my fantasies when I heard my cousin's voice."Amira? What are you doing here?" I asked her in disbelief. Don't tell me, that she and Zion came here together? My questions were answered when she clung to Zion's arms and smirked at me."Oh my dear cousin, it seems like you have fallen in love with someone you don't know," she told me with a smirk."What are you talking about

*Third Person's POV*"That chosen one is starting to piss me off!" Velion shouted angrily after receiving the news from the raven he sent to follow Princess Ana Mae."I did not know that they could easily know the secret on how to defeat those spirit knights," Amira said in disbelief. Velion stared at her angrily and she nervously swallowed the lump in her throat."And you! You're a coward! You should've fought with her instead of leaving those spirit knights alone!" he yelled at her. "You could've defeated her since I have given you a lot of powers. But you're still useless!""I'm sorry my king, I promise to do my job better next time. Just please don't punish me," she begged. She's too scared to be killed. She don't want to die without avenging her mom. Besides, all her efforts would be in vain if Velion would kill her now."Surely you will. Because if you fail this time, I will kill you without having a second thought," he warned her. "I promise my king, just tell me what you wan

  • Ember Of Love   Chapter 40

*First Person's POV* The woods were covered with darkness and just like when we first entered this forest, we did not see even a single animal. Not even a chirp from a bird could be heard. "It's getting creepier in here," Diane whispered to me while biting her nail. It's some kind of mannerism for her whenever she fell nervous. "I know but we still have to travel to the North part of this forest. We need to find the white oracles as soon as possible," I told her. And with the tiny light from the moon, I saw her pout. "Yeah but don't you think we need to rest a bit? Those dark spirit knights drained all my strength," she complained which made me chuckle. "I think you're right. After all we're all exhausted after that intense fight ,we all deserve to rest," I agreed with her. "Let's look for a safe place to camp," Lyndon suggested. We all agreed and look for a safe place to stay. Leanna walked farther from us so she could check if the area is safe.
