    *Third Person's Pov*

(Kingdom of Darkness)

Darkness surrounded Amira in her sleep. Her heart is in deep pain and her hunger for revenge grew bigger day by day. Her past became her nightmare a nightmare that never stops haunting her even when she's awake.

She slowly opened her eyes and heaved three deep breathes to calm herself. Days had passed since the day she was throwned out of the palace. The palace where she grew up and where her darkest nightmare happened, the death of her mother.

"You're finally awake." The dark witch Avion stood infront of her with a poker face.

"What's wrong? Why are you standing there like an idiot?" she asked irritatedly. She don't hate Avion because she's one of the dark immortals who gave her a new home, and a new life as well.

"Our Lord wants to talk to you. He said it's urgent," Avion explained.

Amira nodded her head and stood up from her bed to fix herself before facing the king.

After fixing herself, she headed towards the direction of the throne room where King Velion is waiting for her.

And as soon as she stepped inside, she was embraced by the cold breeze and the smell of fear from everyone in that room including her. Everyone is afraid of Velion for he is capable of destroying anyone and everything with just a snap of her finger.

"Come closer Amira." Velion's voice sent shivers to her spine. For a moment she wanted to run away but she know she couldn't. Besides, her heart is now filled with vengeance and only Velion could help her with it.

"My Lord," she said nervously. She slightly bowed down her head to pay respect.

"I want to congratulate you on a job well done. You have infected a lot of white immortals in the fairy land before the Gods and Goddesses came to help them," Velion congratulated her.

An evil smile formed in her lips. Finally, someone appreciated her! Unlike when she was still in the mortal world. Nobody praises her except her mother.

"It's an honor to make you happy my lord. And it's my duty to repay you for your kindness and for giving me a new reason to live," she answered.

Velion smiled and praise himself for having a brilliant idea to take her with him. She could be his biggest weapon against the chosen one.

"Excellent Amira! You need to be more prepared from now on. I'm sure the deitys already know that a lot of white immortals were infected already. They will surely make a move to prevent us. And the first thing that they will do is to bring the chosen one back to the world where she really belongs. And you know who the chosen one is, didn't you?"

"I know my Lord," Amira answered while clenching her jaw. She agreed to do evil things for Velion, not only because he saved her. But because he told her that Ana Mae is the chosen one. She's eager to fight her in any way and get revenge for what happened to her mom.

"That's good. I know you could defeat her. Your anger will make you stronger day by day and you will become powerful. So powerful that not even the chosen one could defeat you!" Amira gained more self confidence after hearing what Velion told her. Without thinking that Velion is just using her and anger is not the strongest weapon in the world. For instead of making her powerful, it will slowly destroy her.

    (Mortal World)

After traveling across dimensions, Hermes finally arrived in Citrine. He did not waste time for he knows that the whole immortal world is in chaos right now and he needs the chosen one as soon as possible. He appeared in the palace garden where the queen and king are having their coffee.

The two stared at her with wide eyes. They could not believe that a handsome man wearing a golden armour appeared in front of them.

"Who are you?" the king asked him automatically.

Hermes used his powers to freeze everyone in the palace except the king and queen.

"I am the messenger God, Hermes." The horror in the queen and king's face worsen after he introduced himself to them.

"Hermes?" the queen said in an unbelievable tone.

But despite being shock they still managed to bend on their knees to show their respect to the God.

"What did we do to deserve this heavenly visit?" the king asked.

"Lift up your heads mortals. For I am here to personally thank you in behalf of all the Gods and Goddesses!"

The king and queen stared at each other. They don't understand why the Gods and Goddesses wanted to thank them. What for?

"Stand up and sit," Hermes ordered. The king and queen were puzzled but they still obey him.

They sat back on their seats and offered another seat for Hermes.

"Do you want some coffee?" the queen offered and Hermes nodded his head. The queen then served him coffee.

"I could see that you both have no idea about the reason why I'm here," Hermes started. The queen and king nodded.

"You see, the child you found in the middle of the snow storm wasn't just a normal child. For she is a deity, she's my sister Aphrodite's daughter."

The king and queen were shocked with his revelation. They can't even move their fingers and their gazes were fixed on him.

"Are you referring to our only daughter?" the queen managed to ask.

"Yes, and she needs to go back to the heaven realm to fulfill her mission," Hermes answered.

The queen and king were still puzzled with what Hermes is telling them.

"What mission?" Hermes chuckled because of the King's question.

"I presume that you already knew about Velion, the king of wrath and evilness," Hermes started. The king and queen nodded in response.

"Yes, and what does he have to do with our daughter?" the queen asked confusedly. While the king was drowned in deep thoughts.

"It is said that a child will be born in the heaven realm and she will end the wrath of Velion," Hermes explained.

"When Ana Mae was born, Velion attacked the heaven realm after he found out what's written in the book of prophecy.  That's why my sister Aphrodite had to let her daughter go in order for us to save her. Ana Mae was sent here wearing the necklace my father Zeus gave her," he added.

"The golden heart necklace?" the queen asked. She barely remember that she found Ana Mae wearing a golden necklace. She kept it for she knows that it could be a tool to find her real parents.

"Yes, it has special powers in it." Hermes stated.

"My princess has a big destiny ahead of her and I'm scared that we might lose her forever," the queen cried while looking at her husband. The king felt his wife's worries. It is also hard for him to let their daughter go especially after finding out that she needs to fight a very powerful and evil God.

"I know, and I'm worried as well. But nobody can fight their own destiny. What's written in her fate will happen," the king explained to her wife and embraced her.

"What if she dies?" The Queen cried even harder.

"We will never let her die. She's from our own flesh and blood and we will always protect her in whatever situation," Hermes promised.

"I know that it's hard for you to let her go, especially that you treated her like your own daughter. I will give you two days to explain everything to her. After two days I will come back to personally take her to heaven realm for we really need her right now. A lot of immortals had been infected by dark spell and we need the ember of love to free them," Hermes stated before he disappeared.

Everyone in the palace started moving again. They all went back to normal without having the idea on what had just happened.

But the king and queen remained silent. They were thinking on how they are going to explain everything to their daughter. Especially about her real identity.

*First Person's POV* Just as when I was about to blame myself, Leanna spoke, "No madame! The Gods did not sacrifice all of you!" The woman diverted her gaze to her. "And how did you know?" she asked while raising her left brow. "Because I'm one of the servants of the Gods. I am the guardian of the chosen one, and I know the whole story," Leanna stated while the woman stared at her with wide eyes. "So you're one of their accomplices? And you planned all of this just to know our whereabouts and sacrifice our lives once again? I really can't believe that the Gods could be that selfish! "No! I just want you to know the truth!" "We already know what the truth is!" the woman insisted."When we met the dark immortals earlier they told us that the reason why you hid yourselves down here, is that you are all selfish. But I did not believe them, because I don't want to judge someone without even knowing the truth. I just hope you will do the same with the God

  • Ember Of Love   Chapter 44;

First Person's POV; "ZION!" I heard Diane screaming Zion's name. She must've been worried about him but the big question in my mind right now is, why would Zion risk his life to protect me? I stared at his eyes but still I could not see any emotion from it. He's still as cold as ice. "Your highness ,you better not forget our mission. Don't be so careless, or you might get yourself killed," Stefan said and Zion automatically let go of me. It's as if he was burned or something. "Are you okay Ana?" Diane asked as she hurriedly run towards me. Lyndon and Leanna did the same thing and they started checking if I got wounds or bruises. "I'm fine guys, you don't have to worry about me," I told them with a smile. The three of them stared at Zion with confusions written all over their faces. They were probably thinking on why the hell would Zion save my life, when he's obviously one of our enemies wishing for my death. Well, I wonder the same thing though. Maybe it

  • Ember Of Love   Chapter 43

*First Person's Pov*Our journey to the North side of the forest lasted for two dark days. We were all exhausted when we reach the pear plantation. The place was serene and just like the other side of the forest, we did not see even a single animal walking around. All we could see through the tiny light of the moon are tall pear trees with fruits shining as it's touched by the moonlight."How are we going to find the white oracles here? All that's here are pear trees," Diane said frustratingly."Haven't you heard what Leanna told us before we came here? Pears are what the white oracles eat. So I'm pretty sure we're going to find one here!" Lyndon told Diane with a glare. I can't believe these two are starting to have their quarrels again."Guys please just be quite. We're not trying to let them know we're here and run off, aren't we?" I hushed them out."Sorry Ana, it just that there's some grinch over here!" Diane rolled her eyes at Lyndon."So you dare to say that I'm a grinch?

  • Ember Of Love   Chapter 42;

*First Person's POV*Just by looking into his eyes I realised how much I've longed for him. And in a split second I found myself drowning in the valley of his gaze as I danced with the rhythm of my heart. I don't need a love like Romeo and Juliet's, nor of Edward and Bella. What I want is a unique and pure love whom I can call my own."Zion," I mumbled as the wind gently blows, touching his face. He stared at me emotionless, it's as if he doesn't even know who I am. How come? I thought our love was unforgettable. But it seems like I'm the only one who thinks that way."Oh my dear cousin." I was pulled out from my fantasies when I heard my cousin's voice."Amira? What are you doing here?" I asked her in disbelief. Don't tell me, that she and Zion came here together? My questions were answered when she clung to Zion's arms and smirked at me."Oh my dear cousin, it seems like you have fallen in love with someone you don't know," she told me with a smirk."What are you talking about

*Third Person's POV*"That chosen one is starting to piss me off!" Velion shouted angrily after receiving the news from the raven he sent to follow Princess Ana Mae."I did not know that they could easily know the secret on how to defeat those spirit knights," Amira said in disbelief. Velion stared at her angrily and she nervously swallowed the lump in her throat."And you! You're a coward! You should've fought with her instead of leaving those spirit knights alone!" he yelled at her. "You could've defeated her since I have given you a lot of powers. But you're still useless!""I'm sorry my king, I promise to do my job better next time. Just please don't punish me," she begged. She's too scared to be killed. She don't want to die without avenging her mom. Besides, all her efforts would be in vain if Velion would kill her now."Surely you will. Because if you fail this time, I will kill you without having a second thought," he warned her. "I promise my king, just tell me what you wan

  • Ember Of Love   Chapter 40

*First Person's POV* The woods were covered with darkness and just like when we first entered this forest, we did not see even a single animal. Not even a chirp from a bird could be heard. "It's getting creepier in here," Diane whispered to me while biting her nail. It's some kind of mannerism for her whenever she fell nervous. "I know but we still have to travel to the North part of this forest. We need to find the white oracles as soon as possible," I told her. And with the tiny light from the moon, I saw her pout. "Yeah but don't you think we need to rest a bit? Those dark spirit knights drained all my strength," she complained which made me chuckle. "I think you're right. After all we're all exhausted after that intense fight ,we all deserve to rest," I agreed with her. "Let's look for a safe place to camp," Lyndon suggested. We all agreed and look for a safe place to stay. Leanna walked farther from us so she could check if the area is safe.
