I knew from the moment that we were shown Seraphina’s picture something was wrong. Something just kept digging into the back of my mind. There was something about her that seemed so familiar. I let it go for a few weeks, but something kept bringing me back to her picture. I went to visit my father's side of the family about three weeks ago. Dad was happy to see me. He had always hated most of my mom's side of the family, even before the whole Emerald thing. My dad’s father was a vampire, and his mother was a witch. He kept that secret from mom's side of the family because they were weird when it came to hybrids. I think if they had known his father was a vampire and from one of the oldest covens, they would have sucked up to him. Honestly, mom even disowned most of the family after all that shit with Emerald and her parents went down. I was still in very close contact with them. Dad had moved back with the coven after mom had died.
