CHAPTER 37: CRY

He said in a calm, sympathetic voice, "I miss you, my empress," but Cristine found something so revolting about it.

He gave Cristine a hug. After being startled, Cristine rapidly regained her composure. She pushed the man.

He took a step backward.

Cristine questioned him sternly, "Who are you?" Cristine was keeping a close eye on him. She can't think of anyone who has the same appearance as the man, or she's simply too disoriented right now.

He smiled sarcastically and said, "I'm your answer, Empress."

Cristine's uncertainty persisted. She has no trust in this man. She is more likely to trust her instincts than a total stranger.

He replied, with sympathy for Cristine, "You still haven't changed, my empress, you are still you, weak."

Cristine was at a loss for words. She's not sure if she should just kill him now or torture him first.

Cristine chuckled. "You're so arrogant?" she joked.
