Chapter 6: Keeping A Secret
"I am ready to entrust you my heart. I'll be your woman but..." she paused and closed her eyes. She had to think of how to tell Cali she was not ready to tell the world she was married to him yet.
Cali pulled the car over. Good thing they were near a church so it wasn't so noisy. He could hear Rica softly inhaling and exhaling. She was trying to build up the courage she needed to tell him what she wanted.
He looked at her intently. "But?" he asked her. He sounded calm. He wanted her to feel comfortable in expressing her thoughts.
"Well, you see, there was this guy, George. He was my ex-boyfriend and he dump.. uhm, left me," she began.
