A Human intruder, my mate!

The moon looked as it was blood shot and people admired the color of it, red the symbol of love, power and danger but people always forgot that this Red moon was blue too which changed to Red. 

Just like me, from being a naive girl to something very dangerous. 

As the Red moon rose to it's peak we all unconsciously changed into our animal form. The moonlight bleeds out of the moon and dripped on the creature of full moon. By losing ourselves we found us again. This red moon was the proof of the power that nature held upon us. If the nature has the power to heal us, it held the power to destroy us. 

As the moon gradually started to fall we came back to our senses, a wolf howled in a distance, It was not just an ordinary howl it was a warning for invasion. Someone has just trespassed our territory, just like last time and this time again whatsoever that wolf was, he or she would not live long enough anymore. 

Eric came in view and he started gathering his people and before he could done his so called duties, I already howled my pack to join together and now me and my pack were running towards the direction of the wolf which informed us about the intruder. 

We followed the scent of the wolf and when we reached there we all looked disappointed because all we could smell now was the smell of a human. I separated my pack to look around because there was definitely a wolf smell lurking.

I moved to looked at that human guy, he was unconscious and was groaning in pain maybe some wolf hurted him and bring him here. For the first time I looked at his face and everything stopped, I didn't knew what was happening to me but whatever it was, it was good. Something was pulling me towards him and that moment of time nothing mattered to me, only he and I did. 

My pack returned with no sign of suspect or intruder but I couldn't understand them all their words were side passing my head and everything was going unheard because my whole focus was on that human man who was laying unconscious on our land. 

"Alpha, alpha are you listening?" The omega yelled and bring me out of my daze. 

I nodded his direction, he was now in his human form. He took that man with him and he would leave him close to the human world so he could return safely that what we did to the humans unlike other tribes who without a second thought kill the humans who trespassed their territory. 

When he took that man away something fell out of his pockets on the ground I looked at it. It was some kind of identity verification paper laminated in plastic and grasped it with my fangs and ran hard as I could towards my house. I changed my human form and went directly to my room. 

"No it can't be, I cannot be mated to a human." I yelled to myself in desperation. 

For most of the night I couldn't sleep and the next morning when I woke up I was laying on the wooden floor and I wished and prayed that whatever happened last night was just a beautiful nightmare in which I met my love and whatever he was human, wolf, vampire everything was fine in a dream but not in real life but the identity card that I held in my hand which I probably slept with clutching it to my chest told another story that it was a dreadful reality worse than a nightmare.

"Why now after all this time." I sniffled. "when I have decided my life, why now?" I asked again again. 

I showered and get dressed I couldn't care less about my dress I had far more worries to be concerned about. I kept that identity card hidden in my room and left my room to ate breakfast. I wasn't hungry though but I didn't wanted to look suspicious now when I most probably shouldn't be. I sat on the dining table both my father and brother looked up at me. 

"You left early yesterday, are you feeling well?" My father asked as he took another bite of his food. 

I nodded but said nothing I didn't wanted him give any untruthful excuses. 

"Well then next time inform us before leaving so we know where you are. We don't want two James in our home, do we?" He took the last bite of his breakfast and left the table leaving me with my brother. 

"Are you still going to marry him?" James asked. 

"Talking to me now, are you?" 

Hiding something from my father was a hard job but to my brother was a cup of tea. He never cared to know anything that made anyone uncomfortable. 

"Look I'm sorry for that but that's not the point right now I heard what you guys were talking last night and clearly he is not someone who will respect you and there can't be love if there's no respect." 

I sighed. My mind and heart was not there but instead it was far away in the human world. I wanted see him, feel him and love him but I couldn't let that happen I couldn't be in love with a human. I stood up and left my annoying brother though he was the loneliest creature who truly cared about me but this wasn't the time because I had to tell my father about what happened last night, I hated to say this but I needed his guidance. 

Without knocking I walked right in his room, he was standing beside his bed looking at a photo frame probably my mother's, in his hand. His room was the same way as my mother left it, her cupboard, the paintings and everything my mother left him but my father never let her go. When he smelled my scent his gaze shifted towards me. 

"Can I have a word, it's something private?" 

He nodded and gestured me to sit down on the bed and I did. 

"Father I wanted to ask you about you and mother, how you met? How you felt when you met her? What exactly happened?" 

He looked at me in shock as if I he had seen a ghost. "Don't tell me that Nebula's tribe alpha is your mate?" 

"NO" I shouted at my defence and for a moment and I realised that being mate of a human was not that bad but being mate of Eric Millar was the worse thing. If he was my mate I had rejected him the first time I met him but what an irony now I was his future wife. 

He sighed. "That's good because if you been his mate then my whole plan will damned." 

His words hurted me, this thought always occur to me that he never saw me as his daughter all he saw me as was just as a puppet which strings were controlled by him for his motives and ambitions for powers but I never wanted that all I ever wanted was to be loved and cherished. One thing was for sure that it was hard to fall in love but it was harder to be loved. 

A person who loved us was way harder to be found. 

As I kept my silence he roared. "Well I met your mother in the human world while I was exploring it and when the first time saw her I knew that she was my mate and I think she felt the same way. We werewolves love for forever not like humans, there love is fickle, lighthearted and not to be admired. There love is not love it's just a mere attraction towards the other humans." 

"Why you two were in human world?" I asked to change the topic. Whatever he thought of humans was making me uneasy about my love for a uncertain someone. 

"Exploring it of course but those humans are hilarious they say they love you and the next thing they'll do is to leave you that's why its s greatest sin for our kind to love a human because a human can't love a wolf like a wolf can love a human. 

I stood up from the bed and left just like I left my brother and this my destination was my brother's room. 

When I opened his room's door he got startled and hurriedly hided whatever he has in his hands but instead of inquiring about that I cutted the chase and came directly to business. 

"I want you to take me to the human world" I commanded and I knew using my commands like this was the exploitation of alpha powers but I needed to do this and let myself know that all that had happened last night was a mere attraction nothing else. That man and would never be my mate, he was a human and I was the alpha of Crescent tribe. We lived in a completely different world and just what my father said which didn't follow only human but everyone in this world "no one's love could be fickle and if it is then it's not love."

Love came in many different shapes and sizes and we were no one to differentiate its worth as well we were.
