Victory is mine.

"Accept it or not, either way I won and you lose." I said with a wicked smirk forming on my face.

Sun rose above the horizon behind me as if nature already knew the victory was mine. The warm and dazzling sunlight dropped on us, the creature of full moon. Now because of the dim sunlight my eyes easily focused on the forest and I clearly saw the treacherous men in front of me who were standing with their misogynistic minds that couldn't accept the truth and when someone tried to overpower the truth with their despicable lies they always went downhill, if a wolf ever went against their tribe that was considered equal to going against the nature itself it also considered as the second greatest sin that our kind could ever commit and as the tribe's alpha it was my duty to punish them.

It's been years since my wolf has came out and with almost no time every member of my tribe has accepted the truth that I'm their true alpha, a female werewolf but of course exceptions were always there that couldn't be ignored. Some people with their misogynistic and narrow minds didn't believe that I, a female werewolf could be the alpha of our 'Cresant tribe' as in their head only a male would be considered a true alpha and it was now time to prove them wrong but before the death came its way for them I had to give them one last chance to survive because If I was about to punish them, I would do it rightfully. Even though other alphas would probably kill anyone who defied them but I had to show my people that I'm a merciful alpha who was choosen by nature for not to rule but to serve.

"You still have time to surrender, if not in my one command you all will be dead in a snap" my human voice echoed through the woods.

"Surrender" a older man probably in his 60s scoffed. "We would rather die than follow a woman's command."

People behind me fumed with rage, ready to change their animal form and rip that old man's head off but I raised my hand not for the confirmation of attack but rather to calm them and they followed my command, all the wolves behind me relaxed at once, only to get more angered when another one of them opened his darn mouth.

"We'll kill you." he shouted and stared at me curiously.

To his dismay I generously smiled. "I would love to see you try." By the tone of sarcasm in my voice and my crooked smile it was there time to fume in anger and that exactly what they did.

"You can never make us bow to you, you are weak, you can do noth-" before he could finish his words I commanded "KNEEL YOUR HEAD BEFORE YOUR ALPHA." Every wolf that surrounded me, either in front of me or in back involuntary knelt their head before me. That was the power an alpha hold inside themself. Whenever an alpha commanded their fellow tribe people, they had to follow the command even if they didn't want to because they are binded by alpha's words.

My smile grew bigger as I watched their frustrated faces bowing in my respect they knew by their actions and hearts that I'm there rightful alpha but their pride was saying otherwise and just tormented it and now it was game over from my side and life over from their side and the best part was they knew it.

"As you said earlier you will rather die than submit to me so, as your alpha I will make your last wish come true."

"ATTACK!" I shouted, noone was ready for this but as quickly as the words left my mouth everyone launched themself on eachother. With split second my clothes were torn away from my body and I grew into a gigantic creature with fangs and black fur. I became my true self, a werewolf, an alpha that was born to lead the fight.

It took us very less time than I expected to kill every treacherous man that stood in our lands. A roar of victory echoed through the forest.

"Spread the word that justice has been served and if anyone ever go against me their alpha that the nature choose itself ... shall be punished." I howled and ran towards my home in my werewolf form.

When I was infront of my house entrance gate I changed myself back into a human and looked at my tanned hands which were drenched in blood of betrayals but still the exiquite feeling of victory wasn't lurking around me, even though they all betrayed the tribe they were still our people who lived within the tribe. Once I got inside my room I took a shower. After cleaning myself I sat on my room's window which felt like a really long time and of course after killing so many people sleep was the last thing that could happen now.

Sun was shining brightly above the sky making birds singing melodiously and I drifted my head towards the glass window delightedly.

A knock on my door bring me back to the harsh reality.

"Cassandra, can I come in?" A voice travelled across the room, it was my father's voice, the former alpha of Crescent Tribe. Before I could even give my permission he was standing beside me.

"Are you alright? You look distress about something." He asked suspiciously.

"No, I'm good, it's just I know more people will rebel against me when they will come out from their hidings and more blood will spill."

"This is how it is for an alpha, people will support you in your face and pull their claws behind your back" he continued "in my initial Alpha days it was much more worse and you know why." He gave me a knowing look and I knew very well what he meant. Before my father became an alpha, he had fallen in love with a human the biggest scandal in our tribe but many people believed that he enslaved a human because of her beauty. Just like that there were as many rumours as there were mouths and his whole life was surrounded by those illogical rumours through out his wolf years and one day when he finally found his soulmate and married her it convinced people that those rumours stated nothing but lies. But only if people knew the truth they all would be terrified by the truth of my father's life tragedy and what was hiding behind the close doors.

He looked towards the window and continued "Many people will feel threatened by your presence and believe me it's not because you are a woman but because you're more powerful than they could ever dream to be. They are just using gender as an excuse, don't fear them."

"Fear! What's that?" I scoffed and my father's eyes lit up in pride. He looked straight into my eyes and said "look at you just like looking at a mirror." I smiled in return but truth be told I was nothing like him.

My first lesson to myself after becoming an alpha was to never fear about anything even if my own life was at stake, I would rather meet death as an ally than has consciousness of fear within me. He left my room leaving me with my solitude.

Sun was already set, not much time had passed since the morning. All the murdered werewolf-humanoid bodies were cleaned out of our territory and everything looked so normal like nothing ever happened in those woods but that ferocious feeling was still lurking around our lands and every creature who saw it was the witness.

All the tribe people were summoned this evening by my name for the final decision. A huge bonfire was flamed and I sat on the most highest seat where my father used to sit when he was a supreme alpha but now he sat on my lower left and all the other tribe people with some mediators sat around the bonfire.

Mediators could also be identified as wolfs but who left the tribe or werewolf life for good just to live a modern life like human beings and/or those wolf children who didn't have wolf in them but knew too much about our world could also become mediators as they already knew too much about the existence of our world we used them as a link that connect human & us together and whenever a threat has occurred or resolved we had to inform some mediators to insure that humans were safe for the time being untill some other threat came by.

"Our alpha has served justice by killing those who tried to oppose nature's decision" my father shouted as he rose from his seat to acknowledge our people. Everyone cheered to show their loyalty. He continued "and if you have fear your honesty will lie with your true Alpha, Cassandra Greyson." Everyone cheered my name again.

After some minutes of celebration among the crowd I raised my hand and everyone went dead silent.

"We will celebrate our victory but first we have to resolve the issue for which we are all summoned tonight."

Everyone patiently waited for my words to end. Then a man in front of the bonfire stood and seeked my permission to speak and I nodded at his direction to gave my permission.

"Mmh..." He cleared his throat "I think those people who betrayed us their families should be hanged too as they belong to the same bloodline which tried to defy our alpha and if we didn't to that then our tribe will be polluted by their presence." Many nodded their heads in agreement and some people faces darkened by that man words. By the reaction of audience that man became more proud with his words.

I looked at my father who sat silently beside me and I could tell by his expression that he was already agreeing with them, he smiled and nodded just like he knew I was watching him and wanted to seek his advice then silently some words left his mouth. "If that's what our people want."

That was when I decided my final decision. As I raised from my seat and again everyone went dead silent. I parted my lips as slowing as I could without any intimidation so people could understand me. "Before I could even make a decision you already made it very clear that if I don't take the decision on your favour our lands will be polluted." I said looking at that man's direction who spoke just now and one eye contact with me was all it took to swift away his prideness just like burning wood in the bonfire, his expression became tensed and he struggled to speak again but he kept on stammering. I ignored him and continued "if this man words are true that we should kill those innocent people merely because they are somehow linked to the people who betrayed us then we all should be hanged too because they were linked with us too as they lived among us, they were part of our tribe."

I took a long pause and looked at their faces to see if they were agreeing with my words or not but they just looked grim with my statement, so I tried to choose another approach. "No more innocents will lose their life, everyone who stays loyal to me, to us shall live proudly without any fear. Thus concluding none shall be punished tonight and 'that's an order'." I said the last sentence as rigidly as I could and at last everyone cheered my name.

Now the real celebration began. I looked with the corner of my eye, my father was conflicted by his own thoughts and I was sure that it has nothing to do with the decision I just made because if it had anything to do with my peace-making decision he wouldn't shut his mouth like that. Even though the decision was against his better judgement it was what supposed to be right but what his face was expressing wasn't a disapproval but something more complex for which he was finding right words as cautiously as he could to present in front of me.

When we caught eachothers eyes, father looked at me with startled expression as he realised I had caught him off-guard, he smiled and put back his mask that fooled the world so far and when he was about to say something to me I stood up from my seat and walked passed him not giving him any chance to speak or response.
