Jericho’s POV

The abhorrence in Leia's eyes each time she gazed at me made me realize two things; she was never going to stop being angry at me and she was never going to forgive me for what I did.

I wasn’t supposed to be concerned about her validation, but there I was with a bottle of wine plunged in my mouth as I gulped the content. Its hotness hit the back of my throat, prompting me to narrow my eyes in reaction to it.

Why did I care so much about how she felt? Months ago if someone had told me I would ever beg a woman for something as petty as forgiveness, I would have punched that fucker in the face and made him regret ever saying that shit.

The sound of clicking heels from the front door stole my attention and I turned to see who it was.
