I made my way down to the boss' chambers, I had received his summon.

It was a good thing that Jericho was not badly wounded, Alfonso would have ripped our hearts out alive.

This is not the first, Jericho had been badly wounded on different occasions but on each occasion, the old man almost had our heads. He deeply cared about Jericho though, he hid well.

I glided out of the car and made my way towards the boss' territory.

It was unusually serene and the guards were not in sight. It wasn't too strange, Alfonso sometimes ordered his guards to give him space especially when he held some of his clandestine meetings_ such meetings are always with trusted associates but today there was nothing out of the ordinary.

Not a single car was parked in the garage allotted to Alfonso's chambers. I darted my eyes around his space and nothing suggested that he had visitors.

"What the hell is going on?" I mumbled and I patted my gun in its holster.
