CHAPTER 8

Shaun's POV 

Such a fierce vixen she is. Well I will enjoy bending and taming this piece of work. The walk to my elevator was for some reason long and intense. She took hurried steps as if trying to catch up with us. 

"Miss Blanchard, are you the boss here or me?" I asked clearly not settling well with her behind me.

"Excuse me sir?" She asked, clearly confused about my reason for asking this. I really do not like having my staff work behind me. The only people who should do that are my body guards. Not my corporate staff.

"Boss doesn't like his employees aside from the bodyguard walking behind him". Mark informed her.

"Oh! I am so sorry Mr Vance, it won't happen again." She said, I could tell that was the very first sincere apology I received from Melio since our meeting today.

I didn't respond, acted indifferent about here and everything she said. We reached my private elevator and I immediately ditched out my punishment for everything she did earlier.

"Well Miss Blanchard, did you get all the files I asked?" Turning to her with a face as straight as parallel lines

"Yes sir! All files intact." I went over each file and recalled that I did not mention the file which this meeting will center on. Not ready to admit my flaw I simply snapped.

" Asides, playing dress up, do you actually listen?" She looked at me confused and if under regular circumstances I would be pulling her in for a long hug, she looked really beautiful with her face like that.

"The files for this meeting, where is it?" I asked acting oblivious to fact that I did omit telling her.

"Sir you didn't mention I...." I glared fire and brimstones at her which made her shut up.

"Instead of explaining yourself to me, go in there and get the damn file. Also, do not keep me waiting I hate waiting for anyone, especially people I pay to work for me." I saw the look on her face that pierced my heart. She looked like she would cry at any moment.

"Ok sir." We had gotten down. And I ditched our instructions to my project managing director. Who's work I must say has saved me lots of billions. His a very sincere man and I feel he should get compensated for that.

"Jerry I must commend your last project, you did save us millions and still delivered a flawless job. Well done!" I said as I was totally impressed.

"I had a brief discussion with HR, ensure to sign for your bonus and salary raise for you and your team well done.

"Thank you so much Mr Vance." Well he deserves it. While we were at it, I saw Melio exchange a brief pleasantry with some guy, she smiled like heaven just showed her the next 2 years of her life. For some reason I was upset. By the time she came down I was furious.

"Take a cab or something, but be there before I reach this restaurant. Mark will email it to you now. Miss Blanchard, do not for any reason let me reach there before you".I said not leaving any room for arguments.

With that said I climbed into my car, and drove off. I got the look from Mark

"Why are you looking at me Mark?" I asked clearly irritated. This girl must really have men lined up for her, Mark has never looked at me this way even when I did yell at him. Now for Melio he is staring at me like though I am some evil villain.

"Nothing sir, just that I doubt Melio, I mean Miss Blanchard will know her way around this city that much" I was shocked at Mark's bold thought. 

"You wouldn't mind climbing down to ensure your girlfriend gets safely to the location right?" I asked clearly annoyed. Like why should that bother him? And to make matters worse his already calling her by her first name.

"No sir, Miss Blanchard is not my girlfriend and I do not have any interest in your woman sir." I was stunned, this dude and uttering things before thinking.

"And what the hell do you mean by my woman?" I asked clearly irritated by his words.

"Oh! Sir I thought you and Miss Blanchard are an item, hence the reason you asked for her to come in last for interview." Seriously Mark needs to get fucked.

"Get laid Mark, like let a lady fuck you good, so you can tell reality from your imaginations which is quit blurred now." I said while trying to straighten up my tie.

"Sorry sir". He said and I ignored him, which he took that as his clue to shut the fuck up.

While my mind wonder to Melio, surprisingly I was thinking of her for more than 6 minutes. Worried a bit that she might get lost. My train of thought was drawn back to the now asy phone was buzzing. Picking it up I pissed off. A bored expression on my face as I saw the caller's ID. Evelyn. Seriously what does she want now.

"Hi Shaun".

"Straight to the point Evelyn some of us have actual work to do."

"Well I am in town. Was thinking we could hang out later, I have a lot to tell you baby and I missed you." Seriously does she need to pretend with me? I know that Evelyn has some fuck toys why bother trying to keep up with me.

"You know what to do, go to karlton's hospital and have him run some test on you." I do this to ensure that she doesn't give me any STD's cause I know Evelyn can't keep her pussy to herself. But she is great in bed. Far better than her sister.

Must we do this Everytime, know what fine I will do as you've said." Well why wouldn't she, I pay for her expensive life style. She kept talking and I was forced to listen, but only cut her off abruptly when I saw Melio climb down from Troy's car. Well Troy is the CEO of Troy's Refinery. We but know better than to get in each other business. He is my nemesis. One of my fuck buddies is his sister and man hates me for playing her. I mean I did fund his company via his sister Krystal and he doesn't know but I bought some share in his company too. I will never let my enemity with someone get in my way of business.

Seeing him smile at Melio like that did rage me in ways I never expected. 

"Tylor pack now". I barked at my driver who on instinct found a good spot to pack. I climbed down taking long and steady streaks towards Melio and Troy.

"Troy Raymond, I see you've met my Secretary, Miss Melio Blanchard". I said with a very evil smug plastered ony face. Slow I reached out for her waist and pulled her closer to me. As if setting boundaries.

"Well if it isn't the self proclaimed tycoon. Wall street needs to stop putting a narrative about you". He said as if trying to tell Melio that I am the devil himself. 

"Well, they would if you do not stop hanging around my Secretary and stay the fuck out of my business". I did not look particularly happy that Troy was here with Melio. And as for her, she will get punished for this behavior. 

"You will get punished for this Chocolate". I said Into her ears, ensuring to sound very soothing, yet maintaining the authority in those words. I could feel her shiver a bit. That's the effect I wanted. I want her to know and feel my presence every time I am close by or in proximity with her.

With a tense voice she said to Troy after licking on her dry lips which did something to my desire. Does this girl know how seuctive she is? I caught Troy just in time staring at her lips like though he wanted to kiss her. This fucker.

"Well Mr Troy thanks for the ride and see your some other time". She gave him a very beautiful smile, a smile that made her faint green eye colour look sparkling. 

"Now shall we?" I said that holding on to her waist famely as though letting Troy know who she belongs to. After we took about a few steps she immediately removed my hands from her waist and

turned to gimme the lecture of my life.
