"Are you sure that you would be fine by yourself?"

Kevin continued fussing about Emilia going alone for the prenatal care checkup in St. Vincent Hospital. Emilia smiled helplessly as she looked at her parents bickering at each other. They say a grandfather is fussier than a grandmother, that may be true after all, Emilia thought.

"Mom, Dad I'll be off now. Don't worry I'll be fine. Besides, Dad, you need to go to work right? And mom needs to open her garden shop." Emilia soothed Kevin till the end, and Kevin went to work while grumbling on his breath.

Emilia hailed a tricycle and went off to the hospital. She was supposed to come with her parents but there was a sudden conflict in their schedules, and so Emilia just went on ahead alone.

In the hospital, there were a lot of patients than Emilia had expected, most of them were accompanied by their husbands. Emilia went to register and to get her priority number.
