Alpha Agnar's Pov

“You okay, Alpha?” Seb asked me as soon as I settled in the car.

“No,” I replied. I was barely controlling my rage at this point. “That bastard is really going to take her home.”

“It's just for a little while, and then the battle comes.”

That still didn't sound right to me. That meant he would be having her for a whole extra month.

Suddenly tired, I sighed. The world isn't a fair place.

I could be thankful that I had found her at all. In all of my conquests and ... adventures all over the world, I had always been on the lookout. Wanting so eagerly to find her, and now that I found her, she was in the hands of a sadistic bastard who, no doubt, treated her like shit.

Roman.

When the time came, I would savour the satisfaction that would come from ending his life.

“I thought they stopped that bullshit practice,” Seb said, breaking my thoughts.

“What are you talking about?”

“That Breeder shit they do. I thought they stopped it.”

“Oh, they didn't. My people are a stickler for traditions and stupid fuckery, Sebastian.”

“Hmm. Fair enough.”

One of the reasons why my pack was ostracised this much was because it isn't anything like the good old conventional pack. While their packs comprises of just wolves, my pack welcomed more than wolves.

I had creature of many kinds in my pack. Creatures facing ostracization like me, creatures shunned by their family and friends and communities.

Sebastian there was a fire-fox who could still take on the body of a lion.

Ollie, the driver, could turn into a giant anaconda that could crush to death in seconds.

I sighed again, my life blue and gloomy. My love was far from me.

“Don't worry, Agnar,” said Sebastian. “You'll get her.”

“Yes,” I said quietly. “I will.” There was no doubt at all that I would.

But more than getting her, I wanted to kill Roman. I wanted to make him pay for whatever he had done to her.

She seemed so frightened, scared and terrified despite the fact that she knew I was her mate. She had even deny it.

Ugh.

Only Goddess knew what he would do to her once they get home.

Ah, fuck.

“You think she'll like you?” Sebestian broke into my thoughts again.

“What?”

“You think she'll like you? Your mate.”

I stared at him in disbelief. “Of course, she will, you black fuck. She will.”

“She looked terrified back there.”

I rolled my eyes. “To be expected. Who knows what that demon spawn has been putting her through. I'll just give her time. And I don't care how long.”

I just wanted her with me.

SERENA'S POV

The Alpha shoved me and I fell first face on the bed. I turned around to see him smirking at me.

“You think he'll come for you?”

I kept shut, my eyes locked onto the blanket on the bed.

The backhanded slap came to me like a shock and I almost fell off the bed.

“Answer me when I talk to you, mute. You think he'll come for you? You think you'll be good enough for him?”

Blinking back tears and stars, I shook my head. “No, sir. I'm not. I'm not good enough for him.”

“You're not. Knowing that thing and his psychotic tendencies, he'll tire of you before a week is up, but he won't have a chance with you. You're nothing but my cumpot and no man on earth can put a stop to that. No man.”

“Yes, Alpha.”

Suddenly, he jerked me by my hair and pulled me forward.

“Undo my belt and open your mouth,”

I did as he commanded and waited motionlessly as he shoved his cock into my mouth.

Once done, he spilled into my mouth and headed towards the bathroom.

I knelt there, waiting. I dare not leave my spot until he leaves the room.

Minutes later, he made his way out and I stood up, sperm still dripping from my mouth.

This was my life now.

My mind flashed back to the events of the day. Could Agnar win against Roman? Was there the possibility?

But weren't they all the same? What if he turned out worse than Roman? Was I not just better off on my own?

If he won, I would reject him as my mate, and if he didn't, well, I would just live the rest of my life this way.

A knock sounded in the door as I left the bathroom.

“Come in.”

The door opened and it was Ianthe.

She looked me up and down. “Are you okay?”

I paused in the process of wiping my face. “I am. What do you want, please?”

I wasn't in the mood for her mockery or taunts.

“No need to get, defensive. I need your help.”

But I still didn't let down my guard. “I'm not the right person to help you, Ianthe. Please leave me alone.”

“Please, it’ll only take a little while. I want you to come with me to go apple picking.”

“Apple picking?” I asked, doubting my ears.

She rolled her eyes. “Surely, you've heard of apple picking before?”

“I have,” I retorted back sharply, my voice tart. “I just want to know why you want to go with me.”

She rolled her eyes again. “Calm down. I know we're not friends but you're the only free person in the palace right now. All of the maids are busy and I need someone to come with me.”

I kept quiet, looking at her.

“Please. Or do you want me to go tell Roman that I asked you for help and you turned me down?”

She knew what she was doing.

“Alright. I'll go with you.”

“Thanks,” she whirled out of the room and I went after her.

Aside from the threat of reporting to the Alpha, I needed something to take my mind off the gloomy events that had happened today.

“Where is this apple tree located?” I asked as we made our way out of the compound.

“Not too far. We'll be there in a few minutes,”

I let her moved ahead of me, unwilling to let her chat with me, my thoughts engulfing me.

It wasn't until I looked up after a stretch of silence from her that I realized she had disappeared. And standing right in front of me were three men.

And they were half naked!
