WASHINGTON, D.C.

M A R G A R E T

I've been staring at the white envelope in the drawer for about an hour now. Still, no matter how much I tried, I couldn’t convince myself to let go of the secret. It was best this way.

Shutting my drawer, I stood up and then walked to where the mirror was planted. Naturally, I stopped at my reflection: my little freckles, round green eyes. It was hard to miss the worry frown, so I forced a smile and tugged my short blonde hair behind my ear before I pasted the note just above the mirror.

“Now he won’t miss that,” I said to myself. I was sharing a room with Anthony, and he liked to look in the mirror. Yep, he was so full of himself and handsome, and he knew it. Now each time he'll look at himself in the mirror, he will see it and be reminded.

Happy with how the note sat, just enough to be in view but also not standing in the way or anything, I sighed and walked to the couch. I picked a thrower and wrapped it around me. It was a bit cold, I think, just

No. Not possible. He has known me for over twenty years now. He could have said something—hinted something. I mean, what man keeps a crush for over two decades? That’s not possible. He just cared as a friend.I tried to convince myself otherwise, but as Christian’s growl grew, I just couldn’t.“Okay, stop!” I raised my voice, irritated. “Tell me what’s really going on?”“What is that supposed to mean?” He finally stopped the growls, facing me. “Are you serious right now? You slept with Rodrigo? Did you forget you’re expecting?”“How… how do you know that?” I didn’t remember telling him. I actually kept it from him because I knew he would freak out. But how did he know? “I didn’t tell you about my pregnancy. How the hell do you have that information, Christian? Are you spying on me?”“The Englishman. He told me.”“Oh…” I cleared my throat. I had forgotten about Theo and Carlos. I’d seen their texts and calls but didn’t have a minute to respond.“Okay, forget that. Are you done? We need

V A L E R I AI had to come straight to the bathroom and take a moment to myself to take in what had just happened. Honestly, if I wasn’t seeing the reflection of the ring in the mirror, I wouldn’t believe it.It felt unnecessary, really. I already had an engagement ring. I planned to put it on the right finger for the press, but apparently, I now had two of them—oh, and a necklace and bracelet too. Things that are usually for couples in love. You totally can’t say that about me and Rodrigo.“Oh my god.” I held both my cheeks, still processing it. Rodrigo looked nervous, like he was trying not to mess up or say the wrong word, which was so unlike him but actually cute to watch.“What does this mean?” I asked myself, and when the answer popped in my head, I felt a part of me break. Even if by some miracle Rodrigo wanted to try again for real this time, there was no way he would accept the pregnancy. This was just one of my dreamy moments.Quickly, I fixed myself and walked out. I was s

  • Ex-husband Demands Remarriage   From Me to You!

Hi everyone🌸 I’m honestly shocked and so grateful for how you’re treating this book. My previous book, Divorce? His Biggest Mistake, didn’t get this kind of understanding; when the female lead gave (or almost gave) the male lead a second chance, many readers were upset. Here, though, you’ve all been so supportive, and it really means the world to me. I can see it not just from the few comments, but from the votes; the way they’ve gone up tells me you’re standing behind Valeria’s decision. 💛 I just follow my characters wherever they take me, and sometimes I don’t agree with their choices, but that’s the beauty of being an author lol. About that skipped erotica chapter, I wasn’t sure about sharing it before, and sharing it now would confuse you, but next time, I won’t hold back—if there is a next time. 😉 And yes, this month, I’m finishing this book! Get ready for chapters to pile up; make sure your coins and internet are ready! I hope this note doesn’t cost too many coins since i

  • Ex-husband Demands Remarriage   Chapter 0169

R O D R I G OI don’t know if women get even more beautiful when they’re married, but I can for sure say this about my wife. Hair down on her shoulders, cherry lips, a little smile on, a thin necklace that looked like it was made for her.I don’t know if it’s because, when we were married years ago, she never really wore professional clothes like this. Back then, she was a stay-at-home wife, always in casual clothes, taking care of Anthony. But now, the little white shirt under her official look made her breathtaking—actually intimidating. If I was to go with my mind right now, I’d just run out. But no, I was a man. I could do this. Rejection was the least of my worries. Still, my goodness, after last night, I don’t think it’s possible to stay away from her. I will absolutely lose my mind if she rejects me now.“Mr. Roberts.”Her voice snapped me out of my thoughts. Quickly, I cleared my throat and started explaining what was about to happen.“I thought you gave me a ring already,” sh

R O D R I G OI awoke to the ringing sound of my own cellphone, my head still buried in the pillow, reaching for the table with one hand. I picked up, still half-asleep.“Good morning, Mr Roberts. I have your suit and a cup of coffee.”“Jennifer?” I croaked, recognising my personal assistant.“Yes, sir.”“What day is it?” I turned around, and as she was about to answer, I jumped up, realising Valeria was not with me. “Bring it up,” I said quickly, calling Valeria's name before my mind could spiral. When I saw she was not in the bathroom, I reached for my phone, almost ready to dial her, when a knock stopped me.I thought it was her, that she had gone for breakfast and returned, so without thinking, I walked to the door. I opened it, then shut it again when I found it was not Valeria but Jennifer. I was caught in my own confusion.“I’m so sorry, sir.” I heard her apologise, but I didn’t respond. I was about to press the call button when she added something.“What did you say?”“The rec

Rodrigo was everything I imagined–no, even better. Last time this happened, he was a bit intoxicated, and it really was just rushed. Although I still remember it being the best night of my life, seven years kind of erased that. Carlos helped me forget, but now, after last night, I don’t think I ever will.My legs up on his shoulders, my toes in his mouth, God, he was an animal. And apparently, I was so into that because I came like three times before he did. I even squirted, and I have never squirted with a man before. It only happens when I’m playing with myself, but apparently Rodrigo knew that specific spot. Not that Carlos wasn’t good, he was amazing. He knew how to treat me, but it annoyed me how gentle he always was, how he’d ask every now and then if I was okay, like I was a virgin.Theo was good too, even better than Carlos, but I believe you have to have some feelings for a person to have good sex. That’s why I could tolerate Carlos. But Rodrigo… God, I’m not sure if it’s bec
