Chapter 12

Carver, who was holding a grocery paper bag, was silent, occasionally glancing at Thomas who was still behind him.

Bobby immediately ran to the car to open the door before getting a burst of anger from Violeth, leaving behind a cup of coffee he had just bought.

Carver put down what he was carrying, then helped Violeth into the car and closed the door.

"Should we go straight home?" asked Bobby after getting into the driver's seat of the car.

"Yes," Violet answered.

The car moved backwards out of a line of several parked cars neatly. as Bobby drives across the street, Carver catches a glimpse of a car that looks familiar to him.
