“Who the hell does Laura think she is? Is she even worth standing before a woman like Sarah? You need to send her out of your life as soon as you can.” Silas said as he drove us home.

“Laura…” I said with a darkened expression. “Could you believe I called her, it rang and she didn't pick?”

“She must be up to something. She might be scheming another plan to carry out. That lady is a sister to the devil.” Silas uttered.

“Let's go to my house, fast.” I instructed.

Soon, we arrived home and to my surprise, Laura wasn't home.

I paced restlessly and Silas informed me that he will be in the guest room to rest for a while.

We returned home twenty minutes ago yet Laura hadn't returned.

She must have planned the perfect lie to save herself or play victim card but I won't fall for any of her tricks.

“Where are you coming from?” I asked Laura the moment she walked in. I pointed to the wall clock which revealed it was quarter past nine.

She approached me smiling but I avoided her embrace.
