Damien’s POV

“Are you sure you want to do this, Man?” Vale’s voice lingers into my ear for the third time.

And for the entire time, I reply to him without a stutter. “Yes, I am. Now can you stop killing me with the questions already? I have a plan to set up,” I say, spreading the map of the palace across on the large table.

I don’t know what will happen if I enter. Things could go really awry— that’s the first truth I have to accept, after all, I could get tangled with my father.

He folds his hands, staring me up and down as if witnessing madness for the first time.
