-SPRING VALLEY-
(Third POV)In the middle of Spring Valley's wilderness, there was a sizable private property that was off-limits to regular people. It was surrounded by barbed wire and iron fences, which piqued the interest of passers-by hunting for wild animals. They occasionally attempted to sneak in but were quickly apprehended by the men patrolling and securing the entire area.An old man witnessed a human transforming into a large dog one day, and word spread. They eventually avoided that section of the woods because they were afraid of disturbing the entity or whatever lurked there.Without anyone's knowledge, the land is home to more than just an element, but also a pack of werewolves led by a volatile alpha. And at that moment, his loud grumble blended in with the insect and bird's screech. Thanus Morgan, the Dark Moon pack's alpha, appeared disgruntled. Everyone could hear his voice booming inside the packhouse, and later, a wooden table flew out of his office window and smashed to the ground. As the poor thing broke up, it created a crashing sound."Fucking mutts! How dare those fools defy my law! I am Dark Moon's alpha, and they should obey me!" he roared like a ferocious beast.Neru Craig, the beta who was with him in the alpha's office, scurried out of the room as if he were being pursued by a swarm of demons. His pale face was covered in fear.Alpha Thanus was completely enraged. When he's in that state, all he sees is red. He destroyed everything in his path, so no one has the courage to stand up to him when he's on a rampage."Those cretins! They dared to cause trouble inside my territory! I will fucking teach them a lesson, 'cause no one breaks my rule and takes off unpunished!" the alpha snarled as he stood near the open window. His nose was flaring and he was breathing quickly. However, no one could blame him.He made it clear to all of his pack members from the beginning that they should leave mortals alone and never harm innocent civilians. They are completely harmless and are unaware that werewolves exist in Spring Valley. Despite his serious warning, a swarm of mongrels caused havoc the other night. They broke into a grocery store and stole merchandise from the previous owner.Thanus ground his teeth and vowed to himself that once the pack warriors had them, he would tear those thieves apart and feed their flesh to the crows._______________(Titania's POV)Finally, I arrived in Spring Valley after five hours of riding my big bike.I maneuvered my prized possession into a small parking space in front of a store, removed my helmet, and hopped off. I was thirsty, so I decided to get a bottle of water before heading to my destination. For a brief moment, I examined myself through the glass window of the structure in front of me. I was dressed in black ripped pants, a white tank top under a brown leather jacket, and a pair of boots. I used black eyeshadow, mascara, and neutral lipstick on my lips. I put three earrings on my left ear and two on my right. I had one on my brows as well, and my hair was in a braid to add to the drama.Hooking my helmet to the clutches of my big bike, which also held my backpack, a satisfied simper tugged at the corner of my lips. Then I walked into the store and noticed everyone froze and dropped their jaws. My brow furrowed and a sarcastic scoff left my mouth.'What's up with them? Is this their first time seeing a punk?' I mentally sniggered and chose to ignore them. I went to the bottled water section and purchased one, as well as a pack of cookies. While checking what else I needed, I could feel the heated stares behind me, but I was too tired to pay them any attention. If they have a problem with my appearance, I suggest they touch some grass."Look what we've got here, guys!" a male voice muttered loudly, and my ears perked up as I heard footsteps approaching.Instinctively, I moved away from whoever it was and went to the counter to pay for the items I had taken. I arranged them all on the smooth surface and fished my money out of my pocket. The cashier looked at me with amusement, but when three men neared us, she quickly composed herself and did her job with a fuss in her eyes."Well, what do we have here? A new face in Spring Valley!" dude number one said as he scanned my form up and down.Again, I ignored them and paid for my items."She's a snob, bro!" dude number two taunted."Burn, bro!" dude number three agreed and cackled.A long sigh escaped my lips. 'I don't have time to cause trouble. I only went there because it was mentioned in my grandfather's will.'When my purchases were packed, I quickly sauntered out of the store. I went straight to my big bike and was about to get on when a hand grabbed my braided hair and yanked me back."Not so fast!" It was dude number one I encountered in the store. He grinned at me when I faced him."Take your hand back," I murmured, giving him a blank look. The two guys next to him chuckled, and the rascal who was holding me smirked, which irritated me to the core."Or what if I don't, bitch?" he gripped my hair tighter, his nails digging into my scalp. My eyes narrowed. "Are you going to pick a fight with me?" I rasped. They appear to want trouble, so why not give them what they want?"What if I am?" he asked, which was my cue.My lips formed a smug smirk. "Well, suit yourself, dumbass!" I grabbed his hand clutching my hair and easily unhooked his paws from me.The asshole's eyes widened as if he hadn't expected me to be so strong."I fucking hate bullies, you know!" I grunted, and before he could blink, I snagged his wrist and twisted it hard, causing him to kneel on the ground and yell."Damn you, slut!""You chose the wrong person, dude!" My smirk broadened into a wide grin as I took a step back, bent to the side, and gave the mongrel an upper hook. He was thrown into the air by the impact before falling back to the ground unconscious. His comrades took a step back after witnessing the scene. I clenched my fists and faced them."Who's up next?"-TITANIA-The night breeze was cool, yet I felt the opposite. It felt like my entire body was in a furnace. I put on the air conditioning and opened the windows, but nothing helped. I'd been tossing and turning in bed for hours, feeling even more sweaty and tense.Fucking hell! What is happening to me?My gaze was drawn to Thanus on the couch, who had his eyes closed but was clearly awake."When are we going back to the cabin, sweetheart? It's more comfortable being there than here," I questioned, scratching my arms, which felt like needles were poking me."Maybe next week," he answered, swiftly turning on his side and withdrawing away from me.My brow furrowed when I noticed something fishy in his voice as if he was having difficulty speaking. But, when I felt incessant pricking on my body, my mind was drawn back to my current predicament. "What the hell! Is there a virus in your room, Thanus? I've been itching for hours and it's crazy hot here!" I exclaimed, annoyed and harshly. He
- TITANIA-It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining softly and the air was cool, making it an ideal time to take a stroll in Spring Valley. I walked around the neighborhood with Emilia. Neru informed all pack members the other day that I am Thanus Morgan's mate, so most of them are already accustomed to seeing me around. They even referred to me as their luna, which felt peculiar. A long sigh escaped my lips. I should get used to it because I had already made a bargain with the alpha to start over in Dark Moon."My father's pack is twice as big as this pack," Emilia said as we walked to the east side of the region. I looked at her and realized she wasn't being overly cocky."The Black Forest is fairly far from the east continent; why spend a vacation here when there are nicer places close to your territory?"Despite the fact that we began as rivals and had several difficult encounters, the bad blood between us faded. I had no idea if she had altered her attitude because she had di
-TITANIA-Neru, Emilia, and I made our way through the congested corridor. The music was blaring and I couldn't hear anything from the audience. My nose twitched as I detected the unpleasant odors of sweat emanating from them, making me feel nauseating and anxious.'Fuck it. I couldn't help myself! 'Although I knew Thanus was a powerful shifter, the opponents in the death cage were also formidable. They were ruthless and had no qualms about eliminating their competitor.Mr. Sean and I had a serious conversation, and I easily persuaded him to send Thanus to the highlight match in my place. My manager doesn't mind since if Thanus wins, he will also get a large sum of money. Three matches had already been completed, and the most anticipated combat would shortly commence. This implies Thanus will get his turn."Luna, here," Neru shouted out while holding Emilia's hand tightly. The beta got a fantastic spot in the front row on the terrace where we could get an excellent view of the combat
-TITANIA- Thanus' face flushed with surprise when he heard what I called him. His face grew pale, and his jaw dropped for a moment before he closed his mouth and shook his head when he recovered.Emilia's query was answered and I drew a crooked smirk on the side of my lips. So, it's true. His reaction confirmed that I am indeed his mate. Therefore, why does it appear that he has no intention of informing me of such an important event? Why is he keeping it hidden?I slid off the table and as soon as I was in front of him—almost straddling him because there was only a small gap between me and the table—my hands landed firmly on both sides of my waist and I narrowed my stare at him."Well, don't you have something to explain to me, alpha?" in a solemn tone and a deep frown on my forehead, I demanded an explanation first, then prepared to request permission to return to Harrington afterward.Thanus let out a long, deep sigh, leaned back in his chair, and shook his head for the second tim
-TITANIA- "You have a match at eight o'clock, Titania; please be on time since the bettors tonight are big shots, and the prize for the winner could cover your debt to Mr. Wyatt!"After speaking with Mr. Sean, I turned off my mobile phone and laid down on the bed, arms widely extended on both sides of my face. I shook my head, snickering at the prospect of being unable to join the fight.First, when I was brought back to Spring Valley, I left my huge bike on Harrington, in the parking lot of the building that served as the site of the underground combat. Second, convincing my so-called 'kidnapper' to let me return to the city and fight again would be impossible. Obviously, he's not delighted that I've been smashing faces and kicking asses for five years.I sighed deeply, resting my left arm on top of my brow. I had saved half of the money that I needed to pay back to Thomas Wyatt. All I need to do now is provide the other half to finalize everything. However, Thanus Morgan appeared f
- TITANIA- Against my will, the alpha fucktard and his beta dragged me back to Spring Valley—to Dark Moon's packhouse. As soon as we stepped out of the car, a familiar woman marched out of the big structure to greet us.In an instant, my brow furrowed and I growled, "What the fuck are you doing here! Prepare to die, you insane witch!" I untangled my arm from Thanus and charged toward her, but the jerk grabbed my waist and held me back."Not so fast, sweetheart," he said as I strained in his firm grip."Let me go! I'm going to kill that wench!" I yelled, remembering how viscous she was. She set me up and made me appear pathetic."Luna Titania, calm down," Neru murmured as he approached the snorting bitch and kissed her pouting lips.Instantly, my forehead creased and my jaw dropped in shock. "What the hell?" I muttered almost in a whisper. "What the fuck is going on in here?"Neru scratched the back of his head and answered, "Emilia is my mate, Luna.""What?" in incredulity, I mumbled
