Chapter Ninety-Five: Early Morning Caller

A few days later, a knock sounds at Jake’s house. It is the early hours of the morning. A time no visitor should be visiting. The house hold has just settled down to have their breakfast.

The three individual sitting around a modest round table glances at each other, their expression asking who it could be at the time of the morning.

“I will get it,” Jake says, dropping his fork. He pushes his chair back, the sound scraping on the carpet surface, and gets to his feet.

He moved into his Aunt’s house after Kendra’s arrival at the PackHouse. He couldn’t stand to share the same space with the brunette.

Jake walks bare footed to the front door, and throws it open. At first he sees an empty doorways, which causes his nose to scrunch up in confusion. Was it a prank knock?

“Hey,” a voice greets, as the person behind the voice materializes from the corner of the door.

Jake jumps at the sudden voice, but blinks in shock to find Kendra’s amused eyes staring back at him.

    Kendra moves her hands around Adira’s waist, and gazes up at her with a warm smile. “It never came up,” she says. Watching Kendra with an adoring smile grazing her lips, Adira whispers. “I love you,” and bends to kiss Kendra. Moaning, Kendra kisses her back. They kissed until they starved for a air before they pulled apart, their eyes dark pool of lust. Kendra gives her a naughty look as she says, “just remembering the last time we were here.” Adira’s neck flushes red with heat, as she too recalled what happened. And suddenly her expression switches to sadness. “It is also the day Jake caught us,” she says in a depressed tone, her gaze falling.     Kendra finishes speaking on close range fighting and demands for a partner to demonstrate what she has said. Everyone gazes at her nervously, scared to go up against the brunette. Only one hand went up. Since the practiced commenced two weeks ago, Jake has been serious with his training. Learning from the brunette and training on his own to one day surpass the older woman.     It is the day of the bonding ceremony, and Kendra went all out for it. She decided to have it like the human wedding–an outdoor wedding ceremony. Called decorating company that transformed the front yard of the Pack House to a wedding ground. Invited a minister to officiate the joining, and sent out invitations to the other Packs. Despite the rumors and the stories flying around concerning her joining with her sister, many turned out to show their support, including Alpha Dan and Alpha Jericho, who arrived to the venue with their mates. Kendra went for a white suit, with gold designs, and Adira went for a traditional wedding gown and veil. The two kept their dressing a secret, preferring to see each other on this fateful morning.
