ALEX'S POV
For some reason, I felt irked by Eva’s question. I didn’t like the fact that she was confronting Victoria. Shouldn’t it be the reverse?
Victoria looked around for a few seconds. She was a bit flustered at being questioned. I was about to say something in her defense, but Victoria started speaking.
“I had just gone for a stroll by the waterfall when I could sense the blazing forests on the other side of the waterfall.
ALEX'S POVMy room detection power seemed to be working again. I could sense the direction of the dining hall. I noticed subtle changes as I walked through the corridors. The ambiance had turned several shades darker. That must be their way of indicating the time to rest. I sucked in my breath when I entered the dining room. It was large and could accommodate at least 300 people.
EVA'S POVI felt relaxed and peaceful when I woke up. I was glad that Alex had listened to the whole story and had agreed to give his father a chance.I let out a deep sigh when I saw the other side of the bed empty. He must have left while I was asleep. A cute young girl walked in with a trolley. She bowed to me and said, “His majesty has sent some tea for you.”I felt t
EVA'S POV“I want to meet, father,” I said the moment she had placed me on the floor. “Okay, madame, I will convey your message to the king.” She said, bowing to me and then left. I let out a dry laugh when I caught my reflection in the mirror. I had been so excited to dress up this morning. Little did I know Alex was not even interested in me anymore. &ldqu
THIRD PERSON POVVictoria and her father were deep in conversation. “Agrrh!! How did that b**** get saved again!”“Victoria! Why don’t you listen to me? I explained to you how dangerous it is to kill Eva in The Golden Land.
EVA'S POVI crouched with my hands over my head, and my body drawn close together, waiting for the impact. I just hoped that I would manage to get out alive from the debris that was about to rain on me. I seriously needed to discuss it with God. What had done to have so many near-death experiences in such a short while?I was still okay with that. I knew that life could not always be a bed
ALEX’S POVI was so furious when Eva came to the garden even after promising me that she would stay away. I wasn’t asking her to do this because I had some selfish interest, was I? All I wanted to do was protect our baby. Was that wrong? I was even more irritated when she behaved as if she was the one who was hurt. I was scared that I would lose control if I looked at her. So,
EVA’S POVI felt my face burn. The sun’s heat was scorching me. My body felt stiff and numb. It took me a while to open my eyes and take in my surroundings.“Gosh! Is it already morning? I muttered as I tried to get up. I tapped my foot several times to get rid of the numbness. I wondered why nobody had come to take me back to the Golden Land.
EVA'S POVI sat there numbly for several minutes, too stunned to react. When I could regain my senses, I shook the man lying in front of me.“Liam! Liam! Please wake up, Liam!” I said hysterically, shaking him. “No…no…no…Liam…you have to come back to me,” I said, swallowing my saliva. I rubbed his hands and feet and slapped his fac
