I was falling freely and was about to hit the ground. I clutched my belly tightly, hoping that at least my baby would be saved.
I waited for the hit, the impact, the pain. Instead, I felt like I had landed on a warm, soft cloud. I looked down to see that I was mere inches from the ground.
I was lying on what seemed like a cloud of golden light. I got up and landed on the floor. My jaws hit the ground when I saw that cloud of light transform into Alex right before my eyes.
