Gosh, what was his deal?

One moment he was walking into the school premises with his hands in his pockets and the rest of the students fawning over him.

The next, he was openly glaring at me.

“Uh… we’d best get to the Administration Building…” Ash said as she dragged me along.

I’m sure everyone must have seen the shift in his mood. But it was how I felt, I felt a chill down my spine

“Who was that?” I asked Ash.

My half-sister stopped to look at me.

For a half-sister, she sure was nice.

Unlike her twin.

“That was Zeke Kingsley, and he is one person you should try to avoid by all means,” she responded as she rushed her walking.

I still got a few strange stares as I went by.

Gosh, this place was strange.

“Who is he? Everyone seemed excited to see him. Is he some kind of… celebrity?” I asked.

“Of course he is. Everyone knows Zeke Kingsley. Not only is he the hockey captain of the Eagles team, he’s also the one and only son of the…”

Suddenly she stopped as she looked around.

“Of the what?” I asked, and she frowned.

“Do you always ask a lot of questions?” she said.

I rolled my eyes.

“Come on, Ash, don’t leave me hanging,” I said.

She groaned as she rolled her eyes.

“What’s with your obsession with him anyway? Why…

“I’m not obsessed, okay? I’m just curious why everyone was reacting that way. And his looks… I’ve never seen someone who looked like he does. It’s strange,” I said.

“Uh, forget it. Let’s get to the Administration Block,” she muttered.

Suddenly she rushed over to me and held my hand.

“I’ll tell you, but you have to promise not to tell anyone and to avoid him. He is trouble, Rya. You don’t want to be involved with him,” she said.

“Well, are you telling me or not?” I asked.

Gosh, what was with me?

I didn’t remember the last time I was this obsessed with someone, but something about him got me intrigued.

“Well… Zeke is the heir. Like, the heir to all this. This community. His father fucking runs Woodland Pack Community. That’s what makes him dangerous. You piss him off, he throws you out, and even Dad can do nothing to stop it,” she whispered as if she didn’t want anyone to hear.

“So that’s it?” I asked.

“What? I just told you…”

“You just told me he’s a rich kid. I thought there was some bigger conspiracy, something darker, or something interesting about him. But he’s just plain, a typical rich fucking kid,” I said.

Suddenly Ash slammed me into the wall with a force I didn’t see coming or know she had.

“Be careful how you speak of him. I’m serious. Zeke is the number one crush of every girl in school. You’ll gain a lot of enemies if you get on his toes,” she warned in a serious tone.

I pushed her off me.

“What the fuck, Ash..”

“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry. I don’t know what came over me. I didn’t like the way you spoke about him, so I…”

“Oh my God. You’re crushing on him too, aren’t you?” I asked.

“No I’m not, it’s different okay……i…she trailed off as i nodded at her.

“Get over it. You said it yourself. He’s a rich spoiled kid, and if anyone finds out you have such a crush, they’ll use it against you,” I warned her.

She rolled her eyes.

“It’s just a crush. I mean, who wouldn’t crush on him? He’s the most handsome guy in woodland, the richest, and the most powerful,” she said.

I giggled.

Just then I slammed into a figure I didn’t see coming.

Stumbling down before I could fall, a hand reached out to hold me.

My eyes widened as I stared up at him.

What was with these people and being handsome?

He had brown hair and green eyes.

Before I could stare further, he let me stand up straight, and with a smile, he picked up my hand and kissed it.

“Who may this be?” he asked.

I dragged my hand out from his, remembering who the fuck I was.

I wasn’t a lover girl.

Being one last time got me into a mess I’m yet to sort.

“None of your concern. You should watch where you’re going,” I spat as I walked past him.

Ash rushed to catch up with me as she stared at me in shock.

“What?” I asked her.

“OMG, girl, you’re just pissing off all the school jock boys. That was Kyle fucking Whitmore…” she whispered-yelled.

“Yeah, whatever. Enough with the boys. Let’s get this over with,” I said.

She smiled and helped me along.

The process was simple, and getting to class was another thing.

As I stood in front of the class introducing myself to the strange faces.

“My name is Rya Riot,” I said.

As my introduction ended, the teacher for some reason narrowed his eyes at me, but I didn’t care.

I knew it was probably because of the name I’d added there.

Of course I had changed my name and borne the name Riot for a long time now.

Mum was against it, but I wasn’t adding the name of my deadbeat father to mine.

Never.

“Get a seat, Rya. We’re welcome to have you here,” the teacher said, probably bored.

As I walked into the classroom, I spotted Amber behind with her friends giggling about something.

I ignored them as I sat at the back desk, my favorite spot.

It seemed close to the window.

Just as I was about to sit down, a redhead stopped me with her foot stretched out as if to block my way.

“Sit in the other spot. This belongs to Zeke. That’s his seat,” she blurted out.

Gosh, another one of his fangirls.

Ignoring her leg, I pushed past them as I plopped my ass on the seat.

The girl let out a growl as she stood up and turned to face me.

“You will pay for that,” she growled.

“Cece, sit down please. I’ll not tolerate such an attitude in my class,” the teacher called out.

I smirked.

“Get away, bitch,” I hissed.

The class gasped.

Cece growled and sat back down.

I went on to begin bringing forth my books as the class settled back to normal.

Only a few of my classmates stared at me with disgust.

What was with them?

“Haven’t you all never seen a pretty-ass girl before?” I snapped.

Most of them turned back to the teacher.

Suddenly the door opened, and the golden boy stepped in.

Zeke.

He nodded to the teacher, who bowed.

Bowed!

My eyes narrowed at the strange gesture as he walked into the classroom.

I noticed he was heading toward my direction.

I noticed some of the girls playing with their hair, rearranging their dresses, or doing something to try and appear good.

And fuck.

The boy was gorgeous.

Even though he appeared weird.

Suddenly he stopped in front of my desk.

But I didn’t stop writing.

“You’re in my seat.”

A deep voice resonated from him.

The class was silent even the teacher seemed to shiver. ”As you can see asshole, there are several empty chairs in this classroom and as for this one I didn’t see your name when I took it, so you have no way of defending this seat as yours anywhere,” I blurted. I could hear the gasps and murmurs, and I realized what I had just done.I had broken the first rule Ash had given me.Fuck.I called him an asshole, but I didn’t back down. I fucking grinned at him, as our classmates mumbled and spoke among themselves.”Rya, I advise you to take another seat, I’m sure there isn't…”but I beat the teacher…to it.”Sir I do hope you aren’t trying to encourage this form of bullying. I came in here, I didn’t even know this fucker and I sat in the first seat I saw, there was no name here, no number. How the hell would I have known it was his, or is he being favoured? If he is, I don’t give a flying fuck!” I spat.”No cussing in my class, or you’re ending up in suspension!” the teacher warned. I noti
