JACKSON

I had rushed back to the hotel room with an apology on my tongue for being back so late. Practice ran later than I thought, and I felt guilty for leaving her alone in a foreign country.

She wasn't at the hotel.

The sun had set. It was bloody late, and she wasn't in the hotel room!

I had panicked. I had called and called, and all my calls went straight to voicemail. It felt like I was going to lose my mind.

What if something had happened to her? What if she got lost and ended up somewhere confusing? Somewhere dark where a lady shouldn't be alone?

I bloody panicked. And then she stepped into the room, hands full, nose red from the cold. The relief made me weak in the knees.

“Fuck, Siri. I’ve been cal–”

The rest of my words were swallowed by her lips. Every muscle in my body went still, my eyes wide as she kissed me like she was about to die of thirst and the last drop of water could be found in my lips.

Her lips were cold. Her hands were even colder as they left my collar and cupped my face. But her touch burned me.

It burned the way I'd been itching to be burned, but my brain still struggled to catch up to what was happening, so I stayed frozen.

That didn't stop her.

“It’s already time,” she muttered as her hands moved to the buttons of my shirt, undoing them one by one.

“Time for w-what?” I asked, still shocked.

She pulled back just enough to look into my eyes, hers burning with a fire I've never seen.

“For you to fuck me, Jackson.”

My breath hitched, my dick tightening against my jeans. But I shook my head quickly. We needed to talk about how she nearly drove me insane. I grabbed her hands that were still unbuttoning my shirt.

“Siri, we need to–”

“The only thing your lips should be doing right now is kissing me,” she said, her voice hard as she slapped my hands away and went on. Her hands were hurried, an impatient look in her eyes.

This wasn't the woman I left burning in the bed this morning. Where was she? What happened to that woman, and who was standing in front of me?

“Listen to me, you–”

She groaned, and then slammed her lips so hard on mine that I tasted blood.

Al-right then. I guess no talking.

“Bed,” she muttered against my lips. “Clothes. Off. We’ll do the talking later.”

Fucking hell. I might not know who this was, but I decided right away that I liked her.

I cupped her face with both hands. “Yes, ma’am.”

I deepened the kiss, and she moaned into my mouth, undoing the last button. She pushed my shirt off, her hands roaming all over my body, leaving heat in their wake. There was a new fire that had just been ignited in her. She wasn't shy to touch my body like she was the last time. She wasn't afraid to show me her want, and she didn't hide its intensity. As a matter of fact, she seemed to be matching mine.

Yes, I decided immediately: I like this new woman.

The old Siri could come back in the morning, but for tonight, this one was all mine. We stumbled into the room like two toddlers who were just learning how to walk, our lips still glued together, our kiss clumsy, but none of us seemed to mind.

We fell into the bed together, with me on top of her, mindful of my weight.

“Clothes, Jackson,” she muttered against my lips, a slight shake in her voice. “They need to come off.”

“Agreed,” I breathed as I pulled back.

We didn't undress each other—too impatient for that. We ripped our clothes off, throwing them and not caring where they landed. We were back on each other, this time, skin to skin.

“Oh, that’s it,” she breathed as her hands roamed all over my body, feeling every bare inch of skin and muscle her hands could reach. I sucked in a sharp breath when she grabbed my ass and squeezed. “That’s it.”

I couldn't help it. I pulled back slightly so I could look into her eyes, my eyebrows furrowed.

“What happened out there?”

She looked like she wanted to slap me and scream for me to hurry up. But she answered. “I met an old woman.”

My eyebrows shot up. I… I had not expected that. “Oh?”

“Oh! Now get a move on!”

“Will you let me feast on your rose, Siri?” I just had to ask.

I needed to. I bloody needed to!

The flush on her cheeks spread to her neck. “For round two, you can.”

I bit back a groan. “God, yes.”

We didn't need foreplay: she was already soaked, and it already felt like I was going to burst. So I positioned my crown on her entrance, but just before I pushed in, I paused.

“What?!” Siri yelled, and I winced.

“I…”

My words caught in my throat.

I can't fuck you while looking into your eyes. I can't do that right now. I am not ready for that because I know I will never be able to come back from it. I know I will lay my heart at your feet and watch you stomp it.

“Let’s switch positions.”

She wasn't hesitant. She was already on all fours. “There! Now you better–ahhhh!”

I was buried deep in me in one thrust. “Fuck!”

It was insane.

Fucking hell, it was insane.

She was hot. Not warm. Hot. So bloody tight, I felt like she was going to break my dick. The way she tried to suck me in.

Ahh, this feels too good. I wasn't going to last. I knew I wasn't going to,

“Oh, Jackson! Yes! Yes, yes!”

She threw her hips back, not waiting for me to move, and I just let her fuck herself on my dick. I just stayed still and watched her ass bounce on my dick. I watched her perfectly arched back, glistening with sweat. And her braid thrown over one shoulder.

I reached for her braid.

I wrapped my fist around it, pulling her head back so her back was even more arched, and her ass was in the air for me.

I finally moved.

She screamed so bloody loud that my ears started ringing.

  • Falling For My Hockey Stepbrother    Play The Fool Again

SIRIHe… lost. I stared at the TV screen in my small hotel room, my eyes wide, hands squeezed together and pressed to my chest.“He lost,” I whispered it out loud like it would make sense if I did so. I told myself I wasn't going to watch the game, that I would stay away from my screen and just wait for my flight back home two days from now, but I couldn't. I couldn't let the chance of seeing him, even though it was from a screen, slip away. As soon as his team had skated onto the ice and the camera zoomed in on them, my eyes had found him immediately, and I knew something was wrong. His skin was too pale, his eyes looked too sunken, and he kept flexing his wrists over and over, to the point I was sure everyone in the arena must have noticed. And I could have sworn that he was trembling. The game started, and it was even worse. Everything about the way he moved, to the way he could no longer hide his trembling, was wrong. It filled my heart with dread and panic. I couldn't relax a

PRESENTThe smoke of that cigar, laced with a chocolate scent, burned into my nose even though he was across the street. The scent was the same: the cigar lit, resting on his lips, lifted in a smile. A small smile, soft and gentle. Not like that frightening smile he had on his face that night that still sends a chill down my spine. Elijah M’Call still looked the same even seven years later. His black hair was slicked back from his face, dotted with gray. His grey eyes were wrinkled at the corners from age. His shoulders were still broad beneath his tailored suit, and black leather gloves covered his hands. He still looked and dressed the same. Nothing had changed. After that night, I had cut every tie with this man. I made sure I never heard a word from him or received a single penny. I moved into Jacob’s house, and his mother accepted me without a single complaint, letting me stay until I could rent my own place. I didn't speak to my mother for two years after that. She came to my

CONTENT WARNING: This chapter contains references to domestic abuse and may be triggering to some readers. Reader discretion is advised. ~.~“I can think of a few things that can make you quit hockey,” my father said, his voice relaxed, but his face was filled with hell. He stood chest to chest with me, and I fought every instinct screaming at me to lower my eyes, to pull back. I fought them and stood perfectly still, not letting that dark look intimidate me.“What?” I spat. “Are you going to pay the coach to kick me out of the team? Then I'll just find another team to join.”“Jackson, please,” my mother whispered, and that just made my fists clench harder. Why was she calling me back and not her husband? He was the one threatening to take my dream away from me! My hopes for a better future, and still I was the one being called back? Did she really think I would just roll over and accept this bullshit? Bloody no. “That is way beneath me, Jackson,” he said in a low voice, acting li

  • Falling For My Hockey Stepbrother    Just A Little More

SEVEN YEARS AGOThe sun had long since set, and the neighborhood was dark by the time I strolled in through the back door, my shoes tied together by their laces and hanging around my neck, my hands shoved into my pockets. Hopefully my parents were asleep by now, and I wouldn't have to deal with either of them. It was exhausting to look into their eyes these days and act like everything was fine when I harbored a little bit of hatred for my father. Okay, maybe it was more than a little bit, but I won’t tell if you don’t. I spent time at Jacob’s house long after practice, then came home and lied through my teeth, saying the coach sucked us dry with practice, which is why I was so late. You can’t blame me. The atmosphere in this house was depressing, and hearing my father whistle while he smoked his cigar, acting like all was right and fair in the world, was pissing me off when I could see my mother was losing weight, when I could clearly see she was losing her shine. She just needed

  • Falling For My Hockey Stepbrother    Pick A Spot

“You good, mate?” Jacob asked as he sat beside me and handed me a cup of hot chocolate. I took it without a word, cupping my hands around the mug and staring at the steam. He said nothing for a while, just drank his beverage, and then said, “The game is tomorrow, you know.”My shoulders stiffened. I heaved a sigh, sipping the hot drink, but I barely tasted anything. “Yeah,” I said, my voice scratchy from lack of use. “You haven't slept, haven't eaten anything. How are you going to play like this? Don’t expect us to go easy on you because you were our captain.” He said it as a joke, nudging my shoulder with his, but I remained silent, unmoving. He sighed deeply, placing his mug down and turning to face me. “Listen here, mate: it’s not your fault. It’s neither of your faults. You both have a shitty past, and she’s been hurt, yeah, but have you ever done anything to hurt her?” He didn't wait for an answer he wasn't going to get and just went on. “Sure, you were a fuckboy just three

  • Falling For My Hockey Stepbrother    Hands Made Of Feathers

JACKSONI haven't moved for an hour or two. It might be three. I don’t bloody know. I sat on the bench by the bar, my eyes fixed on the glass of liquor in front of me. A glass I haven't touched since it was placed in front of me. Usually, I would have downed the drink just to try to numb these painful feelings in my chest. But no. No, I wanted to feel them all. I wanted them to burn. I wanted them to hurt. Jacob has been sitting beside me since the-however-long hours I've been here, but he hasn't said a word, just nursing his drink. I wish he would say something. I wish he would call me a bastard or a fool. Why? I didn’t know. I just needed something to hurt. I needed it to hurt even more. He suddenly shifted beside me, going tense. “What the bloody fuck do you want, Toria? Here to push the knife in deeper?”“Calm down, J. I just need to talk to him.”“Well, he doesn't want to talk to ya. Piss off.”“Did you love her?” she asked anyway, and Jacob was already shaking with anger, wh
