Amara’s POV
“Refill!”
I called out for the bartender, letting him refill my glass with more cocktails. Trying to drown my thoughts with everything I could think of at the moment, knowing that there was nothing left for me to run to.
I lost it all.
My company, the man I thought loved me, and now my reputation is on the line.
It was all going down the drain, and there was nothing I could do about it.
“Ma’am, not that it’s any of my business, but this is your seventh fill, and you don’t look like you can even walk properly.”
I could hear the bartender’s voice, looking up and seeing that everything was blurr,y I couldn’t even see his face.
“Great!” I couldn’t even keep my head up, shaking on the table top.
“Now i can’t even take more drinks—what else are they going to take from me? My freedom? I know they think this is funny, but they aren’t going to fold me! I’ll get them back for everything!”
I pushed myself up from the table, managing to get up. Even though I had the balance of a one-year-old baby still giving walking a try. I staggered out of the bar, trying to find where I had parked my car.
‘Every one of them, I will make sure they pay for what they did to me…I will make sure that they pay for this.’
Walking out of the bar, everything was blurry, and it was the worst time of my life. I knew that I should have gone straight to Trixie and made sure that nothing was going to make me feel like I was a fool.
‘This isn’t going to end well, is it?’ I kept staggering as I walked through the parking lot, trying to get my head straight.
“Why, what do we have here?”
I heard a shady voice from behind me. I couldn’t even think of my car anymore, knowing that I was now dealing with something worse than my drunk brain.
I turned, and I could hardly count them, but there stood three men, and from the sound of their voice, they sounded like predators who had found prey.
“Leave me alone…” I blurted out, trying to push them back; it wasn’t going to look funny in any way, but then I needed to get my head through certain things.
“Ohhhh, she’s trying to tell us what to do? In this state, we don’t think so, chica!”
I could hear them laughing, and for some reason, my legs thought it would be the best of jokes for it to start getting wobbly.
“Leave me alone, please…” I kept trying to make sure that I would get them to back off and make sure that nothing was going to draw them closer to me.
“Ouuu, darling, you are in no position to get me to back off, and you should know that. So I would love it if you don’t make a fuss about it.”
They laughed as they kept coming close.
It was the last thing I would even want to wish for, and this wasn’t something I would pray for anyone to have. They were drawing closer as I could hear their whispering amongst themselves.
“I believe she said to leave her alone…”
A voice came from behind the men; it sounded firm and more serious than anything. I heard them pause on their tracks; whoever it was, he had stopped them from coming closer.
“Hey chump, why don’t you mind your business?” one of the men snarled as he turned to look at the man. “This doesn’t concern you!”
“Unfortunately, it does, now you all look like knowledgeable gentlemen, so you will understand when I tell you that the time you will spend in Daford Orange.”
The man was now standing close to me, the only thing my knocked-up eyes could see was his brown colored pants.
I heard the men mutter something before they slowly backed up.
“It’s him. Why in the world is he here?” They said before taking their leave.
Who was this man? And why did his presence push these men away?
All these were questions in my head, but I couldn’t even do anything as I slowly found myself slipping under the weight of the alcohol.
“Ice queen, I never thought I would find you melting.”
The man said before he lifted me like a bride off the floor, I turned to look at him, and all I could see was his scattered wolf cut and a set of hazel eyes that could take the life out of anybody.
“Who…are.”
Those were the last words that came out of my mouth before everything went blank.
“You are no longer part of this family!”
“No!”
I sprang up, breathing heavily. It was only a dream, and there was nothing real there for the moment, so I wasn’t going to worry myself about anything; it had already happened, and now I had to look for a way to take my revenge.
‘Wait a minute…’
It took me a minute to bring my head down to a particular realization: I was in a huge room on top of a soft bed.
But then the only thing I could remember was passing out in the parking lot of that place.
“How on earth did I get here?”
I slowly turned to see someone sitting across the bed, and he had a smile on his face. It was a face I knew too well; it was one of the only people I knew who would be there to torment.Once the man saw I was awake, he came closer and sat on the bed.
“Rise and Shine, Poison Queen.”
Roman Winters— the only person on earth I hated so much that I would give anything to make sure he was thrown into a neverending loop of pain and torment.
He suddenly placed his hand on my head as if he was trying to check my temperature.
“You look shocked, having a fever or something?” He muttered with a childish voice, I didnt need him to say anything else. Before he could even react, I hurled a pillow onto his face, pushing him off the bed.
“YOU ANIMAL!”
I raised the sheets to see that I wasn't in my clothes, but I was dressed in some kind of absurd nightwear.
“Who changed my clothes?” I asked, my face riddled in horror.
“Relax, it's not like it's a new thing to me seeing a drunk lady wallow in her puke. And why in the heavens’ name would you knock me out of bed? What did I ever do to you?!”
Roman got up from the ground, a smirk on his face as he made his way close to me.
“You know, I wouldn't usually bring smoky hot ladies into my suite and let them leave without giving them the Winters treatment.” He was about to put his arms around me, but before he could, I gut-punched him.
Taking a long coat I saw hanging by the chair, as I watched him wallow in pain.
“I’d rather have my chances with a dying limping hobo before I would let your mitts on me!”
I snarled, grabbing my purse as I walked out the door.
“Amara!”
I heard him calling me, I couldn't care less what he wanted to tell me. It was never going to make me want to think of giving him a moment of my time.
“I wouldn't use the front door if I were you, would you listen, you beautiful idiot!”
He yelled, and I turned to see him putting on a shirt, chasing behind me.
“You can go hang yourself!”
I cursed, increasing my pace, trying to make sure I would be out of the hotel before anything else.
“You don’t understand….”
He was about to grab me, but then I opened the door flashes fired. Right in front of me, hundreds of news outlets were waiting for us to come out.
“Oh no.” My heart sank.
Roman leaned close to my ear, and with a whisper, he said. “Now you see why dont ya?”
Amara’s POV“Billionaire Empress, Former CEO of the Emerald Hearts Firm, Amara Forger, found exiting The Royal Barks Hotel and Resort with the renowned Prince of the city, Roman Winters.” Trixie was doing her best to hide her excitement from me, and I could see it on her face. “You must have been knocked out for this kind of thing to happen,” she looked at me with a smile on her face. “Cause I know, if there is nothing you hate in the world more than Roman. But now, it seems that you are having an affair with him.” “Please dont say that out loud,” I was rubbing my temple, trying to think of what was going on. She got up from the chair, grabbing a glass of water from the table. Handing it to me, she watched as I drank it, trying to numb the pain. “I know you must feel like trash at this point, but you have to be strong and think of what you are going to do next.” She was not wrong. Even with everything happening, I needed to find a way and make sure I would take my company back

Amara's POV‘Billionaire Empress Dragged Out Of Party!’ ‘Amara Forger is now facing lawsuits for being out of control.’ I couldn't even bring myself to read everything posted online; it was only going to add more salt to my wounds. After everything I had done for Hunter, this is the way he repays me? With a knife to my back! And Kira, my sister, stood there with him. Even if Hunter stabbed me, she twisted the blade in my guts. I got back to our family villa, the only place I could run back to. Parking my car, I slowly got down and walked into the building, trying to hold my head together. I opened the doors to see my parents standing there watching the news, and of course, I was the one on the headline. They turned to look at me, and immediately, I saw my mother get up from her seat and start walking towards me. The look on her face was a bit confusing, but given that she had seen everything that happened online, she was going to be trying to comfort me.“Mom….” Opening my hand
Amara’s POV. “What are you talking about?” I was looking at the reporters; their gleaming eyes held no secrets, and it was clear as day that the scope they wanted was based on something they heard. “Miss Forger, we would love to know if you are okay after finding out that the man you helped get up to the ranks is now engaged to your sister.” I was not sure what I heard, but for a split second, I forgot how to breathe. It wasn’t true, it couldn't be. I stormed past the reporters, trying to find some air and look for a way to verify if what they were saying was true. Suddenly, my phone began ringing. I didn't know who would be calling me repeatedly, but I knew it was something important if they could reach me. I took out my phone and saw the ID, Trixie.I picked up, she wasn't the type of blast my phone's on nights like this. Not on the knight, I was holding the party for a merger that would take my Empire to the high grounds. “Hello, Trixie, I can't talk—”“Amara, head to Wixton
