Chapter Two

Xander stared at the woman who almost crashed his car. She seemed too beautiful to be talkative. He could tell she was anxious and nervous with the way she closed her eyes.

"I'm so sorry..... I didn't mean to," she kept on blabbering. He wanted her to look at him in the face. He was fed up with her apologizing over again. He didn't bother to say anything. She eventually raised her head to look at him. He saw her brown eyes widen when she looked at his face.

'What the heck is she looking at?' he thought angrily. She kept on looking at his face and that irritated him.

"Shouldn't you know when to keep quiet?" he asked her with an irritable voice. She looked confused when he said that. He was still angry with her for almost causing an accident and to top it all off, she talked too much.

"But sir, I'm apologizing to you, you should appreciate it," she said. He shook his head as he looked at her.

'Why is she so stupid,' he groaned inwardly.

"Did I ask you to?" he asked her in a mocking tone.

She glared at him and he could see that she was trying to suppress her anger. Xander held an expressionless face but he grinned inwardly. He was intrigued, he wanted to see what she would do.

"You should know most people don't like people who talk too much," he said.

She opened her mouth to say something but quickly closed her mouth back.

"You should also know most people don't like assholes with a razor-like tongue," she smirked.

His smug expression was instantly wiped off when he heard her.

'Did she just call me an asshole and a sharp tongue person?' he mused angrily. His face became red in anger. No woman had insulted him like that.

She grinned at him as she walked towards her car. He was not going to let her off that easily.

"Move your car or I'll crush it," she said in a menacing tone.

He looked at her and crossed his shoulders as he rested on his car.

"Make me....," he challenged. She looked shocked and he grinned devilishly, his eyes cold as ice. He didn't want to argue over petty things but she insulted him and she would pay for that.

"What's your problem?!," she shouted at him as she hopped out of her car. She stood in front of him and craned her neck to look at him.

"What's my problem?... uh, I'll tell you what my problem is... you almost hit my car, do you know how much it costs?....," he said to her in a calm but angry tone. She seemed foolish to him

"You know what?... I'm not gonna waste my time arguing with you," he said as he walked away.

"What a foolish woman," he mumbled as he walked away making sure she heard him.

"Oh my God, did you just call me foolish?" she yelled angrily at him. He could hear her but he didn't stop walking.

"Oh I'll show you foolish!" she said as she walked towards her car. He thought he had won the battle. He was Xander Cross, no one could win against him. He got into his car.

As he was about to start the car, he saw her walking towards his car with a baseball bat. She looked furious.

'What the heck is she gonna do now?' he asked inwardly as he narrowed his eyes. She stood in front of his car and swung the bat, it collided with his windscreen smashing it while he was still in the car.

"Oh shit, does she want to kill me?" he cursed under his breath. He was both shocked and startled by what she did. She smashed it the second time. He became angry, he was also amused.

'How dare she?' he thought. He could feel his blood boil. If she smashed it the third time, he was sure the glass would break.

He got down from his car and caught the bat when she was about to smash it again. She struggled to take the bat from his hands.

'Why is there a baseball bat in her car?' his face twisted in confusion.

'Damn, she is angry....is she bipolar?' he asked himself again. No one had ever confused him like this.

"What the hell did you do that for?!," he asked her, he was so furious. If it were a man, he would have punched him but she was a lady and he had vowed to never hurt a woman but this particular one was poking him and she would pay for that.

"Oh I just wanted to show you how foolish I can be," she smiled wickedly. He released the bat when he was sure she wouldn't try using it. He turned around and walked away, he didn't want to stay there, he didn't want to do something he would regret later.

As he was about to open the door to his car, he heard the sound of glass shattering.

"Oh fuck, now you've done it," he mumbled and he grabbed her arm tightly.

"Do you have any idea what you just did?" he asked her with a cold and menacing tone. He could see her wince in pain but she quickly replaced it with a devilish grin.

'Why is she giving me that look?' he asked inwardly.

"Oh sorry, I wasn't so comfortable with your car looking like that so I finished my work, I hate unfinished work," she said shrugging her shoulders.

He held her hand more tightly, he saw her wince again and he quickly let her go. He stormed off to his car and got into his half-destroyed car, she had made him late for his meeting.

He drove off even with the way the car looked. He could have easily called his driver to come and pick him up but he didn't bother since he was going to his penthouse which he owned with his best friend.

He would make sure that stupid woman pay for what she did, but now, he needed to keep his emotions in check.
