Xander stared at the woman who almost crashed his car. She seemed too beautiful to be talkative. He could tell she was anxious and nervous with the way she closed her eyes.
"I'm so sorry..... I didn't mean to," she kept on blabbering. He wanted her to look at him in the face. He was fed up with her apologizing over again. He didn't bother to say anything. She eventually raised her head to look at him. He saw her brown eyes widen when she looked at his face.'What the heck is she looking at?' he thought angrily. She kept on looking at his face and that irritated him."Shouldn't you know when to keep quiet?" he asked her with an irritable voice. She looked confused when he said that. He was still angry with her for almost causing an accident and to top it all off, she talked too much."But sir, I'm apologizing to you, you should appreciate it," she said. He shook his head as he looked at her.'Why is she so stupid,' he groaned inwardly."Did I ask you to?" he asked her in a mocking tone. She glared at him and he could see that she was trying to suppress her anger. Xander held an expressionless face but he grinned inwardly. He was intrigued, he wanted to see what she would do."You should know most people don't like people who talk too much," he said. She opened her mouth to say something but quickly closed her mouth back."You should also know most people don't like assholes with a razor-like tongue," she smirked. His smug expression was instantly wiped off when he heard her.'Did she just call me an asshole and a sharp tongue person?' he mused angrily. His face became red in anger. No woman had insulted him like that. She grinned at him as she walked towards her car. He was not going to let her off that easily."Move your car or I'll crush it," she said in a menacing tone.He looked at her and crossed his shoulders as he rested on his car."Make me....," he challenged. She looked shocked and he grinned devilishly, his eyes cold as ice. He didn't want to argue over petty things but she insulted him and she would pay for that."What's your problem?!," she shouted at him as she hopped out of her car. She stood in front of him and craned her neck to look at him."What's my problem?... uh, I'll tell you what my problem is... you almost hit my car, do you know how much it costs?....," he said to her in a calm but angry tone. She seemed foolish to him"You know what?... I'm not gonna waste my time arguing with you," he said as he walked away."What a foolish woman," he mumbled as he walked away making sure she heard him."Oh my God, did you just call me foolish?" she yelled angrily at him. He could hear her but he didn't stop walking."Oh I'll show you foolish!" she said as she walked towards her car. He thought he had won the battle. He was Xander Cross, no one could win against him. He got into his car.As he was about to start the car, he saw her walking towards his car with a baseball bat. She looked furious.'What the heck is she gonna do now?' he asked inwardly as he narrowed his eyes. She stood in front of his car and swung the bat, it collided with his windscreen smashing it while he was still in the car."Oh shit, does she want to kill me?" he cursed under his breath. He was both shocked and startled by what she did. She smashed it the second time. He became angry, he was also amused.'How dare she?' he thought. He could feel his blood boil. If she smashed it the third time, he was sure the glass would break. He got down from his car and caught the bat when she was about to smash it again. She struggled to take the bat from his hands.'Why is there a baseball bat in her car?' his face twisted in confusion.'Damn, she is angry....is she bipolar?' he asked himself again. No one had ever confused him like this."What the hell did you do that for?!," he asked her, he was so furious. If it were a man, he would have punched him but she was a lady and he had vowed to never hurt a woman but this particular one was poking him and she would pay for that."Oh I just wanted to show you how foolish I can be," she smiled wickedly. He released the bat when he was sure she wouldn't try using it. He turned around and walked away, he didn't want to stay there, he didn't want to do something he would regret later. As he was about to open the door to his car, he heard the sound of glass shattering."Oh fuck, now you've done it," he mumbled and he grabbed her arm tightly."Do you have any idea what you just did?" he asked her with a cold and menacing tone. He could see her wince in pain but she quickly replaced it with a devilish grin.'Why is she giving me that look?' he asked inwardly."Oh sorry, I wasn't so comfortable with your car looking like that so I finished my work, I hate unfinished work," she said shrugging her shoulders. He held her hand more tightly, he saw her wince again and he quickly let her go. He stormed off to his car and got into his half-destroyed car, she had made him late for his meeting. He drove off even with the way the car looked. He could have easily called his driver to come and pick him up but he didn't bother since he was going to his penthouse which he owned with his best friend. He would make sure that stupid woman pay for what she did, but now, he needed to keep his emotions in check."I did it! I snapped out of those damn thoughts, all by myself and it feels so good!" Xander exclaimed with a wide smile, his blue eyes glittering with tears as he stared at both of his friends."What?," Enzo whispered, his hazel eyes dilating with shock and amazement as he jumped off the sofa."Are you sure? You look like you just escaped from a torture room," Zion said, staring at Xander with skepticism."Well, it was annoying at first but...," Xander paused, furrowing his eyebrows like he just realized something and didn't want to believe it."But what?" Zion asked, urging Xander to continue speaking."Then that annoying woman called, asking me about some stupid files," Xander said with a small frown."What woman?" Enzo asked, staring at Xander with a confused expression on his face.*Flashback* "No!," Xander yelled as he held his head in his hand, digging his fingers into the soft black hair as he tried to get rid of the negative thought in his mind.Collapsing on the hard floor,
"Should I call him?" Alexandria muttered as she paced around the room, staring at the phone in her hands. She didn't want her boss to think she was nosy but she couldn't help herself, she wanted to find out what happened to that arrogant boss of hers." He's my boss, the big boss! Why would he tell me about his issues, I'm just a secretary," Alexandria said with a small frown.'Ughh! Why is this so hard?' she groaned inwardly as she collapsed on the bed."Well, I will give it a try, he can't bite my head off from the other end of the line, can he? What's the worst that could happen?" Alexandria said with a shrug before dialing a number that was saved as 'JERK!'.She took a deep breath as she raised the phone to her ear.She bit her lips nervously as she waited for him to answer the phone. "Hello, what do you want?" a deep and husky voice said from the other end of the line. She jumped off the bed and stared at the window blankly without saying anything, her heart was pounding and sh
"What?!," Alexandria exclaimed, her brown eyes wide with surprise and a hint of worry. She cleared her throat nervously as she started at Stacy and Abigail."I mean... What happened? What else did Deyna tell you?" Alexandria asked, trying to look unaffected by the news."Nothing, she only said, her brother was going to meet Enzo and... Xander's your boss's name, right?" Stacy asked as she continued to stare at Alexandria."Yeah," Alexandria said, nodding her head vigorously as she bit her lips in anticipation."Oh... Xander is in trouble," Stacy said with a shrug."Oh goodness, what do you think happened?" Abigail asked with a frown.'Oh no, what happened to the fool now? Wait... Why am I even worried? It's his problem, hmph..., Alexandria said inwardly."How about you, Alexa?" Stacy asked, snapping her out of her thoughts "Huh? What?" Alexandria asked, widening her eyes as she arched her eyebrows."What's up with you? You looked like you were on another planet," Stacy asked with a f
*Donovan Residence* "What do you mean by you spent the night together?!," Deyna screamed, her topaz eyes widening with surprise as she gaped at her brother."Shshhh... Will you stop screaming? And we didn't spend the night together, I didn't say that," Zion said, glaring at his sister for misunderstanding him on purpose."Well... You slept in the same house, right?," Deyna asked, a teasing smile adorning her face."No, not a house, Xander's penthouse, along with two of her friends and Enzo and Xan... Why am I even telling you this?" Zion asked, furrowing his eyebrows."Because I'm your favorite sister and you love me, that's why," Deyna answered with a silly grin on her face."Yeah right, I don't have a favorite sister because you are my only sister and I'm not telling you anything anymore, you nosy brat," Zion said, rolling his eyes as he walked up the stairs."Hey! Come on, don't leave me hanging, I'm bored," Deyna whined."If you're bored, go get your books, read them until Sta
"Ugh... I'm never drinking with you guys ever again!" Alexandria exclaimed, opening the door to the apartment."Quit your whining already, it's annoying," Abigail scowled, collapsing on the blue couch.Alexandria glared at her, she was still angry at the fact that she woke up in the big boss's penthouse and she couldn't even remember what happened, she felt embarrassed."That's enough, both of you, I should be the angry one, it's my second day of work and I'm late, if I didn't have such an understanding boss, I'm sure I would've been fired," Stacy said, mumbling the last part but her friends heard her."Understanding boss my foot, he's only understanding because he's interested in you, fool," Abigail said rolling her eyes. Alexandria burst into laughter when she saw Stacy's red face."Shut up, he's not interested in me... Is he?" Stacy asked with an uneasy and bashful smile."Is he interested? Of course, he is! Can you imagine? They were flirting in front of me, as annoying as it was,
Xander narrowed his eyes at the woman who dared to call his full name while smirking at him. He sighed when he saw the rest trying to stifle their laughter."And how the hell did we get here?!," she exclaimed again, this time starting at Zion."Don't you remember anything?" Zion asked with a ghost of a smile on his face."No, all I remember is seeing you guys and ordering a bottle of tequila... D**n, we drank a whole bottle of tequila?" Alexandria asked with widened eyes."Of course, we did, you dummy and it was all your fault," Stacy snapped at her which made Zion grin."Looks like Stacy remembers," Zion said, grinning at Stacy.Stacy couldn't help the blush on her face as she started at Zion with sparkling eyes."Uh? How is it my fault? You could have said you didn't want it," Alexandria said, snapping both Stacy and Zion out of their daze."Yeah right, like we would be able to, bad influence," Abigail rolled her eyes."Hey, you came up with the idea of going to the club, not me, wh
