Chapter Four

"Good morning, Alexa," people greeted her as she rummaged through some files on her desk. She was too busy to answer. She just answered with a simple nod.

She dropped the files back on the desk, she was stressed out. First, it was the blue-eyed jerk now her boss asked her to do something she wasn't comfortable with. She massaged her head and let out a helpless sigh.

"Good morning, Alexa," a melodious voice greeted. She raised her head and saw a face that was filled with not only makeup but malice. She could see a scowl on the person's face.

'Oh great, the company's witch is here,' Alexandria rolled her eyes. It was the all slutty Faye Archer. Faye always came to bully her but this morning she was not in the mood for any nonsense. Faye was one of the many workers in the company but she was here which means she was up to no good. Faye was quite pretty, she was a twenty-five years old blonde woman, and she was the same age as Alexandria. She had an hourglass stature, unlike the average Alexandria. She always wore heavy makeup and clothes that would show her cleavage.

"What do you want, Faye," Alexandria groaned. She was regretting coming to work that morning, she should've just stayed home.

"Oh I just wanted to check if you were already leaving but it seems you've found a way to shut Mr. Petra. kis up," Faye said looking at Alexandria with contempt.

"Hmmm, as you can see, I'm still here, sorry to disappoint you, if you'll excuse me, I have lots of work to do, unlike you," Alexandria faked a smile as she walked away.

"Oh you, don't need to. pretend when you're around me, I know what's going on between you and your boss," She said to Alexandria who immediately stopped in her tracks when she heard that.

'Oh my God, what does she know? I hope she doesn't know about Mr. Petrakis asking me to steal files if she knows,...I'm a goner,' Alexandria's mind went haywire.

"And what's that?" Alexandria said trying to be calm.

Faye walked towards Alexandria and held Alexandria's ponytail with the tip of her fingers.

"Tsk tsk...you're so good at pretending, do you think I don't know?" Faye said shaking her head.

"What are you talking about?" Alexandria asked slapping Faye's hand away from her hair. Her hands were very sweaty because she was nervous. If Faye tells anyone, she would lose her job because of something she didn't even do.

"Oh I know that you and Mr. Petrakis are having an affair," Faye said smirking at Alexandria.

Alexandria's expression changed instantly, Faye just made her scared for nothing.

'God, this girl is such a knucklehead, she's so stupid, how dare she accuse me of something like that, if she utters one more word, I'm gonna stab her with a pen, I don't mind going to jail!'Alexandria threatened inwardly.

"Your silence proves that I'm ....," Faye was cut off by Alexandria.

"Shut the fuck up, Faye, if you have nothing good to say, just keep your mouth shut," Alexandria said angrily.

She was so pissed at what Faye said.

"Faye, what the heck is wrong with you uh?" Alexandria said with a frustrated and angry tone.

"Oh come on, Alexa, you know I'm telling the truth," Faye said with an angry voice.

She had been making passes at Peter Petrakis but he said paying attention to her so she concluded that it was because of Alexandria.

"What? Of all people, do you think I would go for Peter Petrakis? Oh come on," Alexandria scoffed.

'This girl is foolish, 'Alexandria said inwardly.

She didn't understand why Faye would think she was having an affair with her boss.

"Alexa... Alexa...Alexa, wow, you shot to be awarded the best actress of the year trophy, you think I'm gonna buy that?" Faye clapped her hands.

Alexandria looked more angry than confused. People had started to gather around them.

"Listen to me Faye, if you're trying to say something, just say it and stop being such a drama queen, okay?" Alexandria whispered pointing at Faye.

"What's going on here?" they heard a voice say.

Both their heads snapped to where the voice came from.

"Mr. Petrakis, Alexandria suddenly yelled at me, she said I was having an affair with you," Faye lied rushing towards Mr. Petrakis.

"That's not true," Alexandria scoffed shaking her head.

'Stupid fool, I can't believe she pinned the blame on me,' Alexandria said inwardly as she narrowed her eyes.

She had always known Faye to be a cunning person.

"Do you have anything to say for yourself, Miss Akins," Mr. Petrakis asked ignoring Faye who was already holding his arm.

'Wait a minute...oh my God, does Faye like Mr. Petrakis?' Alexandria asked inwardly when she saw how Faye was holding on to her boss's hands and how she was looking at him.

"Why don't you ask Miss Archer why she suddenly came to my desk and accused me of something I didn't do, sir?" Alexandria told Mr. Petrakis.

'I heard what she told Miss Akins..... she's such a drama queen, how could she blame Miss Akins....., "everyone whispered to themselves. They knew Alexandria as a nice person, and they all knew Faye was a drama queen, so they weren't surprised by what she did.

" If I hear any commotion, I won't hesitate to suspend all of you, you got that?"Mr. Petrakis said to all of them.

Everyone scrambled away leaving Alexandria and Faye in the hands of Peter. Even if they knew he couldn't suspend all of them, they were still scared, no one wanted to be Peter Petrakis's victim.

"Miss Akins?, Miss Archer? In my office, right now!" he told both ladies.

The two followed him into the office.

"What is wrong with both of you?!!," he yelled at them as soon as they were inside the office.

"She accused me of doing something despicable and I couldn't let it go," Alexandria explained because she was sure he was gonna blame her.

"And what's that?" Peter asked, he was curious, he knew Faye was a troublemaker.

"Well.....uh, you see.....," Faye stuttered.

"I'll tell you what happened... Miss Archer here, accused me of having an affair with you," Alexandria said, her hands on her hips as she tilted her head to the side, trying not to grin at Faye's face.

She turned to see Mr. Petrakis's red face, she was sure she saw smoke come out of his nose.

'Oh Faye, look what you've done, tsk...,' she grinned inwardly.

She wasn't gonna let Faye win this time. She looked at Faye's face which was already red in embarrassment and she winked at her.

If looks could kill then Alexandria would have been dead and buried by now. Faye was very embarrassed, she had planned to cause trouble for Alexandria but it seemed her plans backfired. She had always wanted Peter Petrakis, she even wore revealing clothes just for him to notice her.

"Is this true, Miss Archer?" Mr. Petrakis asked with an unreadable expression but he was grinning inside. He always had a hunch that Faye liked him but now he just confirmed it. He looked at Faye and her hazel eyes were filled with embarrassment, he couldn't help but chuckle.

"Uh...sir, I'm so sorry, please forgive me," Faye said. Her eyes were filled with both anger and embarrassment. She regretted confronting Alexandria.

'Oh shit, why isn't he saying anything,' Faye thought looking at his face, his green eyes were expressionless.

"It's okay, Miss Akins, can you leave us for a minute?" he said to Alexandria.

"Sure," she said as she narrowed her eyes.

'Something is fishy,' she thought as she went out of the door.

Meanwhile, in the office, Peter was very happy, he had finally found someone who would help him execute his plans.

'Oh Faye, you're gonna be my new puppet,' he laughed inwardly.

"Faye...I know you like me....and I like you too," he said as he moved closer to her. He hugged her and smirked.

Faye froze on that spot when he suddenly hugged her.

"Wait, are you playing with me?" Faye asked, she was still skeptical.

"Faye, I'm telling you the truth," he said to her.

'Just fall for the temptation already,' Peter groaned inwardly

He was gonna dump her when he got what she wanted from her.

Peter grinned devilishly when Faye hugged him back.

She had no idea what she was getting herself into.

She was too naive and he was gonna use her and then dump her.

'It seems bullying Alexandria was a good idea after all,' Faye thought happily.

Peter needed someone to help him get those files so if he couldn't use Alexandria, he was gonna use Faye Archer.

'Oh Faye, you are gonna be disappointed, 'he said mentally as he giggled evilly.

Meanwhile, Alexandria was wondering what was going on in the office, she hoped Faye wasn't going to get fired.

'I hope I didn't overdo this,' she said inwardly.

Even if Faye was a pain in the ass she didn't want her to end up losing her job.

Suddenly, Faye came out of the office, humming happily.

"Oh thanks, Alexa, you are my new best friend," Faye said in a high-pitched tone when she came out.

She quickly stormed off before Alexandria could say anything

'Did she bonk her head? what is wrong with her,' Alexandria thought to herself, she was very confused.
