Chapter 11 - She Fell In Love

When Kashmir entered Amaro's room, he asked her to shave off his stubbles. She applied shaving foam over his face and started shaving off his stubbles. Amaro could smell Kashmir's scent.

'She smells divine' he thought.

He took advantage of their proximity so his eyes could feast on her big brown eyes, beautiful nose and alluring lips. He wanted to kiss her but he controlled himself because he didn't want to frighten her.

He wanted to profess his love for her but wisdom says that it is not wise to profess love to a lady you had only spent a few days with because it will be hard for her to believe him. He is going to wait for the perfect timing. Anyway, he is a very patient man.

"Done" Kashmir's sweet voice snapped him back from his deep thoughts.

Kashmir walked out from the bathroom and went to sit on the couch and looked at her iPhone to check on Amaro's today's schedule and upcoming events to attend.

Amaro walked out from the walk-in closet and approached Kashmir who is busy with her iPhone at the moment. She did not notice him standing in front of her.  Amaro cleared his throat.

"Uhhhm… it seems you are busy texting someone. Is it your boyfriend?" he said with a jealous tone.

"I… I am not texting someone and I don't have a boyfriend." stammering, she stood up and showed her iPhone to him.

Amaro was surprised to see that she is looking at his schedule and surprised too that she is not currently in a relationship. He was too happy to hear it.

"You… you don't have a boyfriend?" Amaro said and let out a loud laugh.

"Are you making fun of me now because I don't have a boyfriend?" Kashmir’s eyes were teary because of Amaro’s reaction.

"No, I am not." he hugged her. "I am sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you. I was just surprised." he said.

Kashmir freed herself from his hug, stepped backward and turned her back on him. She wiped her tears, she was saddened to remember the man that awakened her heart. She has been longing for him.

"Kashmir, I am really sorry" he apologized.

Kashmir turned to him, accepting his apology, she said "Don't worry about it"

"Did you break up with your boyfriend?" He assumed that she had a break up with her boyfriend because of her teary eyes.

"No. I never had a boyfriend." she shyly answered and looked at  her hand.

Amaro was overjoyed by her revelation but it suddenly dawned on him that maybe Kashmir has a wrong perception about man or maybe she has an issue with her sexual orientation. So he asked her to clear his doubts,

"What do you mean, 'You never had a boyfriend '.? Are you a man hater? Are you a lesbian?"

"None of the above" she answered him, smiling.

"What? It doesn't make sense, explain it to me." he said.

For him, how could an intelligent woman with a beautiful face have never had a boyfriend.

"I don't want to have a boyfriend just for the sake of experience or for me to fit the norm. I want to have a relationship with someone that I love and loves me too." she elucidated.

"Meaning, you've never fallen in love, that's why you never have had a boyfriend?" he frowned, a crease between his brows appeared.

"Right and wrong" she replied

"What do you mean?"

"I have fallen in love with a man and I know he is interested in me too but unfortunately, we parted ways before having a chance for it." she explained, with a trace of sadness on her face.

"Do you still love him?"

She nodded.

He got jealous of that man that owns Kashmir's heart. He became even more resolute to win her heart. He did not say a word to her after that, he gave her his tie and Kashmir tied his tie.

They had their breakfast in the garden but unlike the other day, Amaro was pensive and did not say a word. Even on their way to the office, not a single word came out of Amaro’s mouth.

Kashmir could not bear his silent treatment; though they have known each other for only a few days now she is used to talking with him. They became friends in just a short period of time.

"Uhhhm... " she cleared her throat.

He looked at her.

She smiled and said "What do you want for lunch?"

"We are going out for lunch." he said

"Where are we going to eat? Don't tell me we are going to eat like a blue whale again." she chuckled.

"No, we are not going to eat like a blue whale" chuckling also.

"I want to try Filipino food. Ishmael said that there's a Filipino restaurant here and it's delicious and clean. Joyce and him are there now, I received a text message from him. Let's go." he said and held her hands.

Amaro walked to the elevator still holding her hands. His secretary's eyes widened when he saw the prince holding his PA's hand.

They reached the restaurant and food was already served at the table. The four exchanged greetings.

"Mr. Khan, I hope you don't mind if we already ordered food for you." Joyce explained shyly.

"I don't mind at all, don't worry" he assured Joyce.

"Buddy, we have to order because it will take time for them to prepare and cook the food." Ishmael gave a sheepish smile.

"Man, you don't have to worry about it," he patted Ishmael’s shoulder, giving assurance to his friend.

They began to eat. Kashmir put food on Amaro's plate. She told him what's in the dish and how it is cooked. She was attentive to him, putting food on his plate when it's empty.

When she saw the side of his lips was smeared with a sauce, she wiped it. Amaro was astounded, he blinked and  held her hand.

"Are my lips that attractive that you could not help but touch it?" he said, teasing her.

"The corner of your lips was smeared," she retorted and rolled her eyes.
