Chap 3: I have a terrible feeling.

I saw that man slowly move away from me, and my consciousness gradually became hazy before my eyes darkened. On this cold, desperate night, I cried out for the last bit of hope from that man with a heart of stone.

"I will do anything you want. Please, get me out of here."

"Shut up! You're crazy!" Charles covered my mouth and roughly pulled me away. I tried to hold my body down to wait for the man's decision.

I looked at Charles indignantly and expressed my disgust for him in every word: "You are a demon. I curse you to hell and get out of my life."

Charles tugged my hair back, gritted his teeth, and said, "Fuck! Tonight I'll punish you, so you shut up."

My eyes flashed when I saw that he had stopped, but he still didn't move while I was about to be carried by Charles to the car. He was trying to push me inside the car to get me out of this place quickly. I screamed weakly and fought back to break free of his grip: "Get out of my way."

"Wait a moment!" That man's voice was so powerful that it woke me up. I gasped, my body shaking uncontrollably with fear. Then I saw him signal his bodyguards to come over to me and get me out of Charles' car.

Suddenly, Charles grabbed my wrist and stopped me; he said in a voice full of anger and displeasure: "Where are you going to take her. She's mine now."

"Isn't that right, Kirk?" Charles squinted at Kirk, waiting for confirmation from him. However, Kirk is a man who sees money as blind; he shrugged and said casually: "I told you, whoever pays the higher price, she's going to belong to that person."

"Bring her here!" He ordered his subordinates, his face turning serious. His brows were furrowed, and his look was visibly annoyed.

One of the bodyguards snatched Charles's arm from mine, causing him almost to fall backward. I could hear his swearing after his breath.

A minute later, I was brought in front of their owners by bodyguards. He spoke in a warm voice that dispels the fear in my heart.

"Girl, do you remember the words you said earlier?"

I nodded quickly and whispered, "I remember. As long as you can save me from those two, I will do as I said."

His mouth curls up into a seductive but cold curve; even though I've seen it many times, I still get scared and chilled every time he smiles. I can't predict what he'll do next. At this moment, I can only silently pray for my turbulent life.

He snapped his fingers, gesturing to his secretary to bring something to him. Moments later, I saw his secretary pull out a check. Then he pulled a fountain pen from his breast pocket and wrote the amount on the check. He slightly bent down, his hair falling over half his handsome side, cold, expressionless. I couldn't see the number on the check, but I knew it was a significant amount. He filled it out without hesitation, his movements decisive and unapproachable arrogance.

After a few minutes, he handed the check to Kirk, and as soon as he saw the amount, Kirk gasped, his eyes widening as if he couldn't believe what he was seeing. Based on his reaction, I could tell this man had repurchased me from Kirk at a very high price. Kirk glanced at Charles, then told him:

"Give it up, Charles. I don't think you can outbid him."

Charles scowled, his face red and full of resentment as soon as he heard Kirk's sarcastic words to him. He snatched the check from Kirk and stared at it. Suddenly, his face changed, and his hands clenched into fists as if he was suppressing the rage in his heart.

"How? If you outbid him, then Diana will be yours." Kirk sneered and spoke in a provocative tone.

Charles looked at me with evil eyes; I quickly stepped back behind the man who saved me; only then could I feel safe.

"Diana, you won't always land lucky as today. I will definitely have you."

Charles finished talking and got in the car, and left with his juniors in anger. When Kirk was also about to leave, he was immediately held by this man's bodyguard; he panicked and quickly put the check in his body and said: "What are you going to do? Are you going to get this money back?"

"Huh. Where are you in such a hurry? There's still nothing between us."

This man's voice was mixed with laughter, but it gave me goosebumps. Kirk also unintentionally broke out in a cold sweat. "What?"

The man adjusted his tie, his cold eyes burning Kirk. He motioned to his secretary to work directly with Kirk, then grabbed my wrist and pulled me into his expensive, luxury car.

The warmth in the car made me feel so warm and comfortable. I rested my head on the side of the door, relaxing my body because I was too tired when I couldn't sleep for many days because I was locked in the cold basement, even if they starved me.

Suddenly, that man's voice sounded again, making me startled; opening my eyes.

"Your name is Diana, isn't it?"

I nodded in affirmation, faltering in fear, "Thank you for saving me."

I really wanted to know the name of the man who spent a lot of money to save me but didn't dare, because I had a feeling of dread when I came into contact with him. Now, he was still staring at me with his sharp hawk eyes and long eyelashes as black as the night that made my body tremble.

Suddenly he grabbed my hand because I was so surprised that I overreacted and hastily shoved his hand out of mine. By the time I regained my composure and was about to apologize, I saw his eyes darken, filled with anger.

I was so scared that I couldn't say a word; my heart was still pounding in my chest. He spoke coldly: "Do you want to die?"

His tone and attitude frightened me. I leaned against the car door and shook my head like a machine. I used to think about dying if I was taken away by Charles. But now, I really want to live; I want to have a free and peaceful life like everyone else. That's enough for me.

"I'm sorry. I… really didn't mean to." I mumbled out loud.

"Diana." Hearing him call my name, I had a bad feeling. I looked up at this cold man with tears in my eyes. I clasped my hands together to suppress the fear that was spreading through me. "Yes, I hear."

He reaches out to me, his long slender fingers touching the hot tears on my face, then glides from my earlobe to the hollow of my neck. His movements made me shiver. Although he and I had a one-night stand before, that day, I was drunk and couldn't remember anything that happened between the two of us. This time, I was fully awake and scared to have a man physically close to me. My body is tense right now, and I feel so suffocated; I can't seem to breathe when I'm with him.

"From now on, you will be my mansion's maid and the other servants. And…"

He suddenly stopped, looking at me with deep and dangerous eyes. I gulped when I couldn't guess what he was thinking, which made me even more uneasy. The smile at the corners of his mouth deepened, then he said bluntly, "And be my bedmate whenever I need sexual release."

I froze, dumbfounded. I don't think he's that kind of person. I closed my eyes, and my body and soul sunk into an endless black hole. In fact, he saved me from Charles to serve his sexual needs whenever he needed them. I feel like a high-class whore right now. I thought I had regained my peace and purpose in life, but my life was left with nothing but pain and contempt from rich and powerful men. In this tragic situation, I have no other choice.

"Are you dissatisfied with this offer? But you know what, you don't have the right to refuse."
