Chap 52: Valley of Tulips

Steven and I leave Darius' mansion. He drove in silence and held my hand tightly. His face showed anger. I don't know what to say to him now. The atmosphere around us became oppressive and tense. I suddenly thought, would everything be different if I didn't hide this from him but calmly said it?

I suppressed a sigh and turned to look outside in a chaotic mood. Suddenly Steven stopped the car on the side of the road and took the initiative to speak first with a tired voice: "Why did you go there?"

I turned to Steven and met his sad eyes. Perhaps when he made this choice, it also meant that he was cornered. Sunwell is his heart; if he says he doesn't need to, it's a lie.
