Chapter Two

When I woke up, it was already dark outside. I took a shower and went downstairs, probably grabbing something from the fridge.

‘’Looking for something’’, someone said behind me, making me stumble forward when a firm hand wrapped around my waist and pulled me into his hard chest. I stabilised myself and remove his hand from my waist and continued my way to the fridge until he said,

‘’The maid covered some food for you, it is on the kitchen counter’’, I ignored him. His food and him can go to hell.

When I was done with my food, he was still standing where he was earlier, he didn't leave or move.

‘’Why are you ignoring me?’’He took me by surprise, so he noticed. Good.

‘’I am not ignoring you, just new to this place and get out of my way, don't you have a girlfriend to be with?’’ I replied, keeping my face stone cold and felt a pang to my heart when I mentioned his girlfriend.

‘’I do have a girlfriend but it is none of your business. It is my personal matter’’ really we are playing this now?

‘’Well you heard yourself, and this is my personal life. Get the fuck out of my way’’, I should be regretting that i talked to him like that but ask me if i care?

Making my way back to my room, a room caught my attention through the corner of my eye. He has a LIBRARY and I found the perfect spot to hide from him and will be able to enjoy it as well.

‘’Maybe I can find some books for now since I have nothing good to do.’’, I mumbled to myself.

Finally finding the perfect book, it is an age-gap mafia and enemies to lovers romance book. There was a couch in the library, I made my way to it and started reading. I lost count of the time.

Reaching my room with the book in my hand, I see Rowan standing in front of my room. I braced myself to face him.

‘’Where were you?’’, he spewed the bitter words in my face. He was fuming, for what reason?Did he look for me?

‘’I found the library so I spent some time over there.’’I answered honestly.

‘’Some time, do you know what time is it?’’

‘’I lost track of time but why do you care and get out of there way, I wanna shower and sleep, I'm quite exhausted.’’ To be honest, I am not but I can't stand another minute with him without crying the next minute.

He walked back and I didn't look back and went to change.

The next morning, he was nowhere to be seen when I woke up so I continued with my daily routine. I went for a jog and went shopping afterwhile. Something caught my attention on the table of the library, it was a card, his card. There was a note along with the card, saying something along the lines of ‘’use this card if you want to buy anything. rowan.’’

I took a pen and wrote ‘’I don't need your money. You can shove it up your ass,with a smiley emoji alongside.’’ Maybe I exaggerated but he deserved it for pissing me off and breaking my heart, it's only fair.

I was shopping when my phone pinged, a message from unknown

‘’Why didn't you take the card and where are you?’’ this man really has a serious problem, but still I replied to his texts,

‘’I am out shopping and I don't need your money, I am not pathetic enough to use your money. I have my own card.’’ With that sent, I turned on ‘’do not disturb ‘’mode and continued my shopping.

I didn't go straight home after shopping, I called my friend, Olivia and told her to hang out in the club downtown. I didn't want to see Rowan so this was my only option to escape him.

But that was to an end when he showed up to the club, made his way to me and lifted it up to his shoulders. What the fuck?

‘’What the fuck, put me down , you asshole, everyone is watching.’’

‘’That is what you get for being a bad girl’’ huh, why does he care? This man is leaving me confused.

‘’Put me down right fucking now’’, he didnt until i felt a sting in my buttcheek, did he…spank me?

‘’Did you just spank me? How dare you, put me down’’ another spank.

He walked with me on his shoulders till he put me down and caged me between his arms when we got to his car.

‘’Do you enjoy pissing me off?’’

‘’Very much, I believe it became my new hobby and rather I find it turning into an addiction.’’

‘’Ýou are going to be the death of me’’, I was going to ask what he meant but he beat me to it and smashed his lips to mine, in a rough kiss.

He pulled away abruptly and got into the car, what the hell just happened?

I got in and the drive was silent . I went into my room and went to sleep, reflecting on what happened earlier.

The next day I found myself in a cocoon in between huge arms and legs draped over mine.i was in the room of rowan. I started to make my way out of his arms when he pulled me to him and muttered,

‘’Stay Aliyah, don't go’’, it broke my heart even more, knowing that he thinks i'm his girlfriend, but I'm not.

Feeling my heart breaking, I dragged my heavy feet to my room and to the bathroom where I sat and cried under the water.

It felt good to be fresh and stepped out just to see Rowan standing in front of my bed. And I feel the tears forming up in my eyes. I rushed back in the bathroom just for him to grab the door and put his feet in between.

‘’We need to talk…’’, he said, taking in my teary face.
