Chapter Five

Leah pov

The dinner went well. Almost because of someone that created a scene that made us leave earlier than expected.

‘’Are you mad?’’ he whined at me like a baby

‘’Of course i am mad, what do you think you were doing?’I yelled at him

‘’I'm not sorry for what I did, he was clearly flirting with you’’

‘’Why do you care? That was my personal matter.’’

‘’Your matter is my matter’’ he responded, confusing me. I ignored him for the rest of the ride.

I changed my outfit and went to bed. The morning, Rowan was nowhere and I had to taste the cake for the wedding today. I went to search for Rowan only to find him outside, he wasn't alone. There was his girlfriend with him. I tried to hear them talking discreetly,

‘’How long Rowan, I miss you baby, I can't live like this nor without you’’,the lady said, whom I believed was aliyah.

‘’Dont worry love, it will be over soon, just a few months and you will be mine. I will make a fake situation like me and her weren't working. Then we can be together.’’

He didn't want me. I thought he changed his mind after how he reacted yesterday but he always proves me wrong. The woman went and Rowan turned, seeing me but this time I didn't run away like a coward.

‘’Did you need something?’’

‘’Yeah, we have cake tasting today, will you come?’’

‘’No I have some business to take of today, I’m sorry’’,he replied

‘’That's fine, I'll take Lucas with me. By the way I'm heading out right now.’’

I didn't move one step before him as he grabbed and arm and asked,

‘’Did you hear anything?’’

‘’Nope I didn't, is there something you wanna tell me?’’ He knew I was lying but he didn't say anything further and released my arm walking back in the house.

Lucas was down to taste some free cake with me but of course I could see he wanted to ask questions, definitely not one.

‘’Ask your questions Lucas, I can see them through your eyes.’’

‘’Isn't it supposed to be husband and wife's job to taste the cake.’’

‘’Yeah but your brother is too busy seeing her girlfriend more than tasting some cake’’

‘’Ohh now it makes sense, but you ,my friend you deserve someone more better than my brother.’’

‘’Yeah I know but it made my family happy so I don't really care.’’

Lucas was about to ask another question where the lady came in, saying

‘’Sorry to disturb ma'am, there is a man at the counter saying he is your husband, should I send him in?’’

‘’Umm sure, thank you’’, I replied. Wasn't he supposed to be at his office?

‘’Well I guess someone is not too busy after all and definitely not spending time with his girlfriend’’, Lucas said.

The door opened again but this time, Rowan came through the door, wearing his dark suit and sunglasses. He looked hot but I wish he was mine, truly mine but that would stay a dream.

‘’Did you find the perfect cake yet?’’, I think he saw me drooling over him.

‘’Yes we did, Lucas and I really liked it but I am going to design the cake and send it to them. It will be chocolate.’’

‘’Okaay, so I'm not needed here.’’he asked

‘’Not really, we were going to have lunch, you can come along if you want.’’

‘’Sure, let's go’’, what is his deal? Don't worry about Rowan, I will find out.

We all had lunch together until Lucas proposed to go to the cinema,

"Leah,wanna go to the cinema? "

"Sure why not? I have nothing to do anyways. Can we stop by the bookshop on the way please, I wanna buy books. "

"Sure,we will leave once we are done here. I believe you have work to do bro or I would invite you as well. " Now I get why he suddenly wants to go to the cinema when he has a home theatre.

"Not at all. I'm done for the day today, so I would be pretty free to come. " Weird,usually he isn't free for anything but work.

We went to the bookshop first and there it was, the books I wanted. Books by Ana Huang.

The trainer was a boy, dark haired and tall.

"Would that be all, pretty girl? ", he asked with a flirty smirk.

" Yes,... " I was about to thank him when Rowan answered.

"Is that all love? " while snaking his arms around my waist and giving me a kiss on the forehead.

"Yes? ", confusion took over my entire face. And the guy was staring straight at where his hand was.

We exited the shop and I couldn't help but asked,

"What the hell was that inside? "

"What did it seem like? He was clearly and openly flirting with you. "

"God, give me patience" with that I left him and walked towards Lucas with him tagging behind me.

Lucas laughed looking at my face, he was about to say something when I stopped him…
