NEAH’S POV

I took a deep breath after applying lipstick on my lips. Three days had already passed since I signed the contract with Sy Elite. Today was our launch meeting.

“Mommy, are you leaving again?” my son asked when I stepped out of the washroom.

“Yes baby, I just have a meeting that I need to attend. Auntie Claire will stay here with you, don’t give her a hard time okay? Just play here. I’ll come back later, wait for me here okay?” He slowly nodded.

“Yes mommy, be careful.” he said sweetl

  • Falling for My Ex-husband Again   Chapter 83

NEAH’S POVI was busy working on the company's signature piece that would be unveiled during the company anniversary. I needed to stay focused because I only had one month left before the company anniversary. I wanted to finish the signature piece a week before the event so I could still focus on everything we needed to prepare for the company anniversary. When my hands started to ache, I decided to take a break. Cassandra came to my mind again. She was probably just busy, that's why she still hadn't talked to me. I think Dave had already spoken to her and told her everything that happened in France, except for the personal matters between the two of us.Kaiden kept looking for Dave, but I couldn't bring him here to my office. Even if Cassandra allowed me to, I would still feel embarrassed. I didn't want her to think I was taking advantage of her. When I noticed that my coffee was already empty, I stepped out of my office again. That's when I saw Monica. My brows slightly furrowed whe

  • Falling for My Ex-husband Again   Chapter 82

DAVE’S POVI had been watching Cassandra for a while now. I didn't know if something was bothering her or if she was simply stressed because the company anniversary was getting closer. I looked away when I remembered the anniversary. I still hadn't talked to Chairman Sy again about his plan for me to marry Cassandra. He was planning to announce our engagement during the company anniversary, something I still hadn't agreed to.After our meeting ended, I followed Cassandra. I could feel that something was wrong. I knew Cassandra well, so even the slightest change in her behavior was something I noticed immediately. Whether she was stressed or had a problem, she would usually vent to me, but now, she was just silent."Cassandra," I called out to her."Hmm," was all she replied, but she kept walking without even looking back at me. I matched her pace."Is something wrong?" I asked."Should there be?" she answered sarcastically. I looked at her because of the way she said it. My brows furr

  • Falling for My Ex-husband Again   Chapter 81

NEAH’S POVI noticed Kaiden kept glancing at Dave, it was as if he wanted to move over to his side, but he couldn't bring himself to say it because he was probably thinking about what his Daddy Liam would say and feel. Even my innocent son was caught in this complicated situation. If I had left my son here in Albany while we stayed in France for two weeks, he would have been the only thing on my mind. I definitely wouldn't have been able to focus on my work because all I would have wanted was to come home. After we finished eating, I carried Kaiden and we went to the bedroom so he could take a shower and change his clothes. I left Dave and Liam in the living room. Whether they argued or not was up to them. The moment they did it inside my house, they would never be allowed to come back."Mommy, is Daddy Dave going home too?" my son asked while I was helping him get dressed. I gently stroked his cheek and smiled at him."Sweetheart, Daddy Dave has to go home. He can't live here. What a

  • Falling for My Ex-husband Again   Chapter 80

NEAH’S POVI heard what Kaiden said to Dave too. He wanted Dave to live with us, and I was caught off guard when Liam arrived, it looked like he had heard Kaiden's words as well. I quietly stood by the kitchen doorway.Liam walked over to Kaiden and picked him up. Just by the look on his face, I could tell he was angry.“Daddy Liam?” Kaiden uttered, as if he wasn't even happy to see him. Even I was confused. During our stay in France, I had grown close to Dave again, but we still weren't in a relationship. He only wanted to fix what we once had, and I still hadn't agreed to that.“What have you been telling the child? Are you teaching him what to say?” Liam angrily confronted Dave. Dave stood up as well to face him.“I never told him that, and can you please not get angry in front of the child?” Dave was more concerned about Kaiden's feelings, while Liam's anger over what he had heard from Kaiden had completely taken over.“That’s enough. If the two of you are planning to fight, don't

  • Falling for My Ex-husband Again   Chapter 79

DAVE’S POVThe two weeks passed by so quickly. I quietly looked at Neah sleeping in her seat. We were already on the plane back to Albany. I couldn't help but sigh. I felt sad because we would no longer be living under the same roof. No one would be there to welcome me home after a long, exhausting day. I also wouldn't be able to spend every day and every night with Neah anymore.I couldn't fall asleep even though it was already late at night. I simply watched Neah and Kaiden. I wished Cassandra had made the project last a month instead, but no matter how long our project had been, it still wouldn't have been enough for me.I wanted to spend the rest of my life living in the same house with them. I wanted to watch Kaiden grow up with me by his side.My gaze settled on Kaiden, he had chosen to sleep beside me again, and he was sleeping soundly. I needed to talk to Chairman Sy as soon as possible so I could finally focus on fixing my relationship with Neah. For the past few days, I had

  • Falling for My Ex-husband Again   Chapter 78

DAVE’S POVMy heart was overflowing with happiness while I was with Neah and Kaiden. I had forgotten about my life in Albany, my problems, and all the stress. I just wanted to enjoy every single day with the two of them.My heart fluttered every time Kaiden called me Daddy. Even if he wasn't my biological son, even if we didn't share the same blood, I was happy to stand as his father.Neah continued working at the de Valois mansion. She only had one more piece of jewelry left to finish before she was done. Even though I no longer had anything to do, I still stayed by her side. I sat facing my iPad while reading the reports that had been sent to my email. The day passed quickly. Neah climbed into the car looking exhausted. As soon as I got in as well, I took her hands and carefully massaged them.“Do your hands hurt already?” I asked while continuing to massage them.I looked at her when she leaned her head against my shoulder. Her eyes were already closed. It felt so good to be with m

DAVE’S POVI wrapped up the meeting as quickly as I could. Glancing at the time, I knew I could still make it to mine and Neah’s anniversary celebration. I was about to leave when Monica, my secretary, suddenly blocked my way.“Sir, you can’t leave yet. Your car tire blew out.”“What?” I asked in d

NEAH’S POVWhen I returned to our table, I immediately noticed the tension in Dave’s expression. A strange sense of dread slowly crawled into my chest. DAVE’S POV“Sir, the investors are waiting.”I didn’t answer Monica immediately. I simply stared at the time on my watch.6:12 PM.Before, time never mattered to me. I didn’t care if meetings ended at dawn as long as the work got done. But now… Someone was waiting for me at home again. And this tim

NEAH’S POVThree weeks had passed, yet every single day, Dave still came to my parents’ house to win me back. Ever since we buried our child, I had never returned to the home we once shared. I wanted to heal. Somehow, the thought of stepping back into that house terrified me because all I would rem
