Coincidences

JANICE POV:

I met Liv at the elevator and we travelled to the main lobby. Getting out I noticed a commotion by the lounge area. Everyone was staring at the tv’s plastered on the walls. I got a glimpse and heard “cia’s failed Cartel bust in Los Grove” I sighed.

Liv must have noticed because she asked me, “is everything alright?”

“Oh yeah, just the news.” I announced quickly.

“Don’t like the Cartel?” She asked, side eyeing me.

“Uhhh it’s not that I don’t like them. I just kind of work against them. That’s all.” I suggested.

“Wait you work for the cia?!” She asked shock in her voice.

“I’m technically not allowed to disclose it!” I chirped.

“Well they’re not all bad you know, cartels.” She smiled at me.

“I don’t doubt it.” A smile forming on my lips.

We walked over to the caffè and ordered 2 latte’s. Sitting down at one of the cute lobby tables we sat together.

“Janice your accent… where is it from?” Liv asks me.

“I’m actually Italian, from Ika, Italy.”

“God, I could listen to it all day.” She chuckles. And I couldn’t help but laugh.

“How long have you known Jameson?” I ask her.

“Since I’ve worked at the hotel! About 3 years.”

“Don’t worry, we’re just friends.” She winked at me. I laughed. “He is hot though, I’ve gotta admit. But really my interests lie in Jason. I prefer my men shorter.” She giggled.

And I let out a snort not being able to contain my laughter.

“I better get going! Long day ahead at work.” I sighed.

“Let’s go out tonight! Jameson has a bar, did you want to check it out?” she asks.

“I’ve already been! But I’d love a girls night, let’s get ready together later!” I squeal in excitement. Liv stands up and grips me into a hug. I hug her back and smile. I’ve finally found a real friend here.

JAMESON POV:

In a way I was glad our kiss was interrupted, I wasn’t sure if I could’ve stopped myself if we had continued… there’s something about this woman that makes my heart ache for more. I couldn’t wait to take her for dinner this evening. I watched as she got onto the elevator and the doors closed.

“Ahem” Jason cleared his throat behind me. “You done making out there boss?” He chuckled.

Ignoring him I hustled to the elevator. The boys all laughing as they caught up to me.

“You’re all just jealous.” I shrugged.

“You must really like this one.” Ricky chimes in.

“There’s just something about her, it’s driving me mad.” I explain. “I want her to be mine.”

“Well she is pretty fine, from what I seen this morning.” Jason laughs, before I punched his arm.

“What happened this morning?” Ken asks.

“Just don’t even start this shit.” I scolded. And the boys took off in a fit of laughter again. I shook my head and rolled my eyes.

We reached the lobby and moved towards Ronald, who waiting outside for us.

“Always on time Ronald.” I said impressed at his timely manner.

“Of course boss!” Ronald chirped.

We huddled into the suv and took off. “To the warehouse then?” Ronald asks. And I nod in agreement.

Arriving at the warehouse I had one goal in mind, and that was to find out what the fuck happened to our raid crew. I pushed through the doors and entered into the lounge area.

“Ahem!” I cleared my throat, gaining every man’s attention at once. “First of all, is everyone alright?” I asked my group of men.

“Everyone’s fine sir, but we do have something to tell you.” Came a voice in the back of the room.

“How about you tell me how exactly you all managed to escape unharmed?!” I growled. Not that I had wanted my men to get caught but them escaping didn’t make any sense.

“Well boss, that’s kind of what we needed to tell you. We may have used heavy artillery. None lethal shots of course. We simply wanted to scare them off, and it worked.” A different voice announced.

I stared at them trying to process what I was just told. “You mean to tell me you used live ammunition on the fucking CIA?!”

“Uhh yes boss but we felt it necessary to our escape and survival.”

I stormed out of the lounge and heading straight for my office. Maria was standing in front of my door with her tits hanging out and I shoved her to the side before slamming my door in her face and locking it. I rang Jason.

“You better get your sister the fuck away from me or she’s out of this cartel. Period.” I cursed.

“Sorry boss I’m on it.” Jason replied. I hung up.

My mind wandered and my eyes got big when I realized what I had just been told. “Non lethal bullets” I thought to myself as I recalled Janice’s arm from last night. That was no doubt a bullet graze hole. But that’s impossible, I couldn’t believe, I wouldn’t allow myself believe it. And I wrote it off for being a coincidence, nothing more.

Shrugging off that thought I returned to the real problem at hand.

There’s no denying it, the CIA now one hundred percent knew of our cartel and now they would be even more set on catching us and bringing us down. I understood my men’s thinking but I just wish it didn’t have to come to this. For too long we’ve ran this cartel under the radar, and for it to be so close to being over… “No” I thought to myself “no way in fuck I’m letting this cartel fall, we’ll figure out a way to blend in for good. If changes are necessary so be it.”

I called my artillery level In the warehouse and told them to bring everything we had in. That we would be sealing off the weapons until we were no longer in the spot light. I also called the drug level and shut it down promptly.

Storming back out of my office to the lounge I sighed when I seen everyone was waiting for my return. “For this Cartel to survive we need to make some serious changes, I’m not saying it’s forever, but it’s the best thing we can do for ourselves at this time.” I explain, praying they understand my actions. “Everyone working under illegal jobs will be moving to non illegal work for the time being.”

Nobody spoke.

“Good.” I said affirmatively.

“Jason” I shouted to him. “I want a club opened up in downtown, that should help accommodate any needed new work positions.”

“Like a strip club?!” The men whispered amongst themselves excitedly.

“Yeah that.” I groaned, what a bunch of children. I chuckled to myself before leaving. I had one more thing to get done today and that was make reservations!

I texted Janice: “I’ll meet you at your room 6pm sharp! What’s the number?”

My phone buzzed back quickly…

“See you then! 406” it read.

JANICE POV:

I arrived at the CIA headquarters right on time. Tina came in clapping and everyone stood silent.

“What’s she clapping about?” Wendy whispered to me.

“No clue…” I whisper back.

“Don’t look so disappointed guys. I know, I know. The plan failed, we didn’t catch them. But guess what! Now we’re hot on they’re tracks. We have never gotten this close to the Cartel in Los Grove before and this isn’t the end, it’s just the beginning!” Tina cheered.

Everyone broke out in applaud. I couldn’t help but clap along.

The rest of the day went by smoothly, we traced calls, checked leads and by 4pm I was so glad to be done work for the day.

I called Liv. “Hey Liv, so I have a dinner date before our bar outing… but you can meet at my room for 10pm to get ready?”

“Sounds like a plan to me!!!” Liv texted back and then proceeded to send me the eggplant and peach emoji. I giggled to myself.

I started my walk back to the hotel, waking past a boutique I couldn’t help myself and strolled inside. Wanting to grab 2 new outfits for tonight’s endeavours.

I browsed around before carrying 8 choices to the fitting rooms. I tried them all on and chose the sexiest two as my purchases.

The first being a cocktail dress in royal blue with some rhinestone accents, it would be perfect for the dinner tonight. Well I hoped anyways, really depending on where he was taking me. But I had an itching suspicion that it was the hotels fancy restaurant.

And the second being a lavender 2 piece set, that included a short tight skirt and a matching corset style top. Talk about boobs on point!

-6pm-

JAMESON POV:

I arrived right at 6pm knocking on her door and waiting impatiently for her to open up.

“Ah, right on time!” I heard her smile through the door. And as it creeped open I couldn’t stop my eyes from wandering up her body. Peaking at her chest briefly before tracing to her neck, lips, and stopping at her eyes. I smiled at her and took her hand in mine.

“Any idea where we’re going?” I asked her with a smirk.

“I’d be a fool not to say the hotel’s restaurant.” Janice stated.

“Only the best for the best woman!” I chirped.

The elevator opened in front of us and we walked inside, there was nobody else on it. I looked down at Janice who noticed my gaze and peered up at me, and I couldn’t help but press my lips to hers in a longing kiss. My lips trailed down her chin to her neck before I started sucking on it. I heard her gasp as the elevator came to a stop and the doors opened. People flooding in we ran out. Janice playfully slapping my arm and I wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her into my side.

“Reservation for 2!” I said to the hostess at the front podium.

“Of course Mr. Becker. Right this way.” Said the hostess and she led us to a private booth in the back of the restaurant.

“Oh wow. It’s gorgeous in here!” Janice beamed, as she sat down on the opposite side of the booth to me.

“Not as gorgeous as you, my dear!” I told her.

The dimly lit booth was as romantic as it possibly could be, with candles lit on the table.

The waitress brought us 2 glasses of scotch and we ordered our meals.

“I’ll have the classic Alfredo with truffles” Janice spoke.

“The lobster please.” I told her.

“So listen Janice… I really loved the past few days we’ve had together. And before whatever is going on between us gets any further, there’s something I have to tell you about my line of work.” I told her. “Now I understand if this changes how you feel about me, but I’ll cut the chase. Janice, I am the leader of the Los Grove Cartel.” Looking into her eyes to try and guess what she was thinking.

But she didn’t seem phased. A bit puzzled maybe, but not scared surprisingly.

“Well that’s definitely not what I was expecting, but it doesn’t change my growing feelings or whatever it is I have for you…” Janice states and smiles at me.

“I can tell you’re a good man, and I want to keep going with whatever it is we’re doing.”

I smile and sigh, dropping my gaze to the table and grabbing Janice’s hands. The waitress returns with our meals and we feast.

“But I should tell you…” Janice begins to tell me something, with a serious look on her face. “I’m going to your bar tonight with Liv and I’m getting WASTED!!” She cracks a laugh and smiles silly at me.

“Well you won’t mind me tagging along then?” I add. “Someone’s got to keep an eye on your ass.” I grin.

“As long as you stay out of our girl fun!” Janice teases me.
