Damn if I didn't feel cool after saying that. Regardless, what I said needed to be said at that moment. Just because he's hurting doesn't mean he should push away the few people still ready to take his shit (myself included).

Going back to the party, I found the little princess talking to Coles parents and I could see the way they both beamed at her, like she was an angel sent from heaven.

A frown settled on my face taking in the scenery, the little voice at the back of my mind wishing at that moment we exchanged bodies and I was the one standing and smiling at Coles parents, but I brushed the voice away, shaking my head slightly.
